Chapter 893: Taste of Betrayal

Jayden’s expression turned even more distorted after hearing the threat from the guardian about Alice and his child, but fighting directly might put Emma, Sydney, and the woman who is probably his mother in danger.

His gaze moved from Emma to the six guardians, all kinds of possibilities going through his mind, but every single one of them resulted in Emma’s death while putting others in danger.

Just as Jayden was deep in thought and the whole place was filled with silence, Anna’s body trembled as a voice rang in her head that no one else was able to hear; it was from one of the guardians.

“Anna, do it.” At first, her body froze, and her mind became blank, but out of nowhere, a blood-red dagger appeared in her hand.

It was not any ordinary dagger; even the slight movement almost tore the space. She clutched the dagger tightly as her expression turned bloodthirsty, and her hand shot towards Jayden’s body without even the slightest hesitation.

They were standing so close that by the time Jayden even noticed her movement, he felt something pressing against his abdomen.

As the tip of the dagger struck the left side of his belly, and as it came in contact with his skin, Jayden’s physical defenses showed slight resistance.

But even Jayden’s outstanding defenses were no match for the dagger as it tore through his skin and moved deeper into his belly. Anna pushed with all her strength until the entire blade had disappeared inside his body, as purplish blood gushed out of his stomach.

Jayden’s expression twisted as he felt pain from an attack for the first time in quite a long while; his eyes turned blood red as his gaze turned towards Anna, who was looking back at him with a smile. She was twisting the blade, giving more damage to his internal organs.

“Cough.” Jayden coughed blood; he held Anna’s wrist with his left hand and slowly pushed her hand away as the dagger moved out of his body, leaving even more damage.

Blood was leaking out of the wound continuously.

Anna’s expression suddenly changed, and her eyes widened as she looked down at the deep wound on his body and the dagger in her hand. Her body trembled, and her heart shook; breath struck in her throat as she felt indescribable pain in her chest.

“I- I… w- what just happened? J- Jayden, are you alright? Nooooooooo, what have I done?!!!” Her eyes had filled with tears for the second time in her life; her mind was in chaos.

The sight of his wound and the blood coming from his mouth made her heart stutter. She was feeling terrible, but despite all that, she didn’t know what had just happened or what she should do.

“The taste of betrayal is metallic, don’t you think so, Jayden?” The guardians seemed to be gloating as they looked at Anna’s frozen face and Jayden’s twisted expression; they just sat there watching this show unfold.

“Hubby!!!”

“Darling!!!”

All of Jayden’s wives rushed towards him.

They were shocked after seeing Anna attack Jayden, but seeing her current expression, they felt that something was wrong with her. It was probably the doing of the guardians, but nothing of that mattered to them.

An intense killing intent rose from the bodies of all the women as they saw the wound. Jayden’s breathing was quickening, and his wound was not healing like normal; it was obvious that the dagger possessed special abilities.

“Isn’t that such a cute thing? The six of us had worked hard for several decades, pouring our energy and blood just to create that thing, and the result was much better than we expected.

Not only does it possess the ability to cut anything, but the injury you just received from this weapon won’t be healing anytime soon.” The guardian boasted; the small dagger truly seemed to hold a vast amount of energy.

Jayden’s body felt heavy; this injury, along with the injury he had inflicted on himself not too long ago, made him feel quite weak. He looked at Anna before shifting his gaze towards the guardians, his blood-red eyes leaking extreme bloodlust.

“Husband, are you okay?”

“Gasp! Hubby, why isn’t it healing? Do you need to drink blood? Here, you can have mine.” Alice and the others got close to him and looked at his injury; their eyes became misty. They could feel a stinging pain in their hearts. All of them glared at Anna and then at the six guardians.

“I- I haa haa am fine, don’t worry.” Jayden spoke while inhaling deep breaths; he didn’t want his wives to do anything recklessly. Alice moved closer to him and covered the wound with a cloth, trying to stop the bleeding.

“Anna, you care a lot about him, don’t you? I can feel that you wish to become his woman, but even though you were locked away and were suffering because of him, this selfish man went ahead and married several women, and one of the women is even pregnant with his child.

Are you really just going to let this homewrecker take away your man? Even though you were the first to find him? Even though you sacrificed your family for him, despite staying locked up and suffering in that place, despite helping him all this while; will you just allow another woman to have his child?”

As Anna listened to the guardian, she just glared at them with rage and hate. It was all because of them; not only did they slaughter her entire family, but now they even made her attack the person she loves the most. How much pain he must be feeling! Anna just wanted to kill all six of the guardians.

But her expression changed after the guardian had finished speaking; her eyes once again became hollow, just like before. She looked at Jayden with a chilly expression, but then she turned her body and looked at Alice.

Her body trembled, and she became a blur as she charged towards Alice to stab her belly with the same dagger to kill the mother and the unborn child at the same time.

It was all too sudden that none of the women could react in time; their energies surged, and they formed protective shields in front of Alice.

But after coming in contact with the dagger, the shields broke. Without pausing for even a moment, she pushed the dagger towards Alice’s belly.

The sound of flesh being torn rang out. Alice’s eyes were wide open as she stared at Anna’s face and then looked down at the dagger that had almost touched her body.

“COUGH!”

A hand tore through Anna’s body from behind, crushing her heart and coming out the other side. She coughed blood, and the dagger fell from her hand.
