Chapter 909: The parting gift?
“Peek- a- boo!!” The souls flinched and trembled uncontrollably as they slowly turned and saw Jay standing right in front of them, his twisted smile looking very dangerous making them almost die again.

“Hey, I don’t think it would be fair for you three to miss all the fun while your friend is enjoying himself out there. Come on, you should join him too.” Jay spoke; he had noticed them from the start.

“R- RUN!! The demon is here aaaaaaaaahhhh” the Timekeeper shouted as the three souls tried to flee in different directions. Flying as fast as possible, they would rather die than experience even one per cent of what Nexus was experiencing right now— that is the most disgusting, disturbing, and painful thing one could go through.

“Uh huh, I see you three are quite excited. Now go and fucking suffer for every bit of pain you made my Anna, my Sydney, and others go through. Feel the hopelessness that once they felt; you will die every moment while begging to actually die.

I will wipe off every bit of your arrogance and power and make you feel things an infinite number of times worse than them. This is just the start of YOUR PURGATION.” As Jay spoke, he made a squeezing gesture with his hand, and the three souls froze in space, unable to move even an inch despite all their struggles.

Jayden took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment; then, as he opened his eyes, his face looked emotionless. He was finally out of the trap but knew what had happened—the rage he felt towards these six beings was immeasurable.

Jayden pulled the three souls close to him. After the fire- shaped souls appeared in front of him, he observed them for a few seconds. Even though their bodies had been destroyed, their souls still contained quite a lot of strength.

With just their soul strength, they could overpower the weaker rulers of the races. The three guardians tried to launch soul attacks towards Jayden, but nothing worked, as they were filled with regret, desperation, and despair.

“It would be a waste to just let go of all that soul power, even though it is useless for me— but I can think of a great use for it.” Jayden thought.

He pointed his palms towards the three souls and used the demonic devouring arts, but not to absorb that strength.

He began to separate the consciousness of the three souls from the vast energy. It wasn’t a difficult task, and he was done within a minute as the fire like energy floated in the air while Jayden held a tiny light orb in his hand that contained the consciousness of the three guardians.

For a moment, he ignored all that soul energy and focused on the souls of the guardians; he wanted them to suffer for whole eternity and never be free. Taking a long breath, he raised his right hand and began to release a colossal amount of world energy as three figures began to form in front of him.

These were the new bodies of the guardians; after all, they needed to have a body to experience more pain. These bodies were strong enough that they wouldn’t be destroyed, and the guardians would continue to suffer for a limitless amount of time.

After a few minutes, three bodies that resembled an average human appeared in front of him. Although they were extremely tough, they couldn’t be moved or maneuvered, so they would just remain still and suffer for eternity.

Once Jayden was done with his task of creating the three bodies, he pushed the three weak consciousnesses into them and allowed the soul and body to connect completely; in the next moment, the eyes of the three opened wide in terror, and they instantly began to beg.

Jayden floated back towards his earlier position, where Nexus was undergoing the torture once again, the long rope controlling his body on its own.

“Nexus, see your friends are here.” Jayden spoke as he created three more glowing ropes and tied one of their ends to the three guardians’ feet.

Then all four of the guardians began to experience the same thing as screams enveloped the white room; Jayden had allowed them to speak since he wanted to hear them scream.

“Now…” Jayden looked at Nexus and pointed two fingers towards him, then he made a pulling gesture. After a few seconds, two clusters of energy flew out of Nexus’s body, leaving him extremely weak.

One was his soul strength and the other was the energy cluster that contained the world rule; Jayden only caught the soul power and ignored the other for now.

Then he sent energy towards Nexus since his body had become too weak to last much longer in that torture, but with the energy, his body was strengthened slightly.

Jayden was panting heavily, his entire body aching so badly he almost felt as if he would explode in the next moment.

The red liquid now covered more than half of his body; he was slowly approaching his doom while accumulating irreversible damage, but he wouldn’t stop until he had taken care of them all.

“Haa, this much soul energy would be enough,” Jayden mumbled. For a moment, a gentle expression appeared on his face as he imagined a future that he might not be a part of.

This much soul energy was extremely potent—after all, it came from four of the guardians— but what Jayden planned to do wasn’t an easy task. It needed an immense amount of energy, but if he could succeed then it just might be the perfect parting gift for his…

“Sigh, I wish I could see her and hold her in my arms, even just once, my little munchkin.” Jayden just stood there with his eyes closed for a few seconds as he thought about the person he had not met yet and might never see.

Then he shook his head and threw all those thoughts out of his head. He focused on the energy and pulled it towards his palm as it disappeared into his palm.

He released a breath and began to focus on all that soul energy working to create that thing as more and more world energy was drained from his body, and the speed of the red liquid spreading sped up significantly.

Finally, Jayden turned his gaze towards the two remaining guardians. He had been able to delay them for so long using his time manipulation and space abilities to their limits, but now they were finally done.

They are two of the strongest guardians, and the fight from this moment was going to be unlike what had happened before. Jayden was ready to do his very best and fight without any restraints while also working on creating the gift.

“I would expect nothing less from the world devourer, but it’s a pity that you didn’t have the time to grow up properly to your full potential. Had we waited for a few more years, then you would probably have become capable of controlling the dimensional stone.” the Chronicler spoke.
