Chapter 910: Madness
As the Chronicler spoke, his voice didn’t falter even after the four guardians had suffered all that.
For some reason, he didn’t seem afraid of Jayden at all; on the other hand, Weaver looked frightened and was being careful as the attacks of the two finally formed to their completion. A large, ancient-looking book had appeared behind the Chronicler, glowing with a golden hue, while small characters flowed all around Weaver; both of them were releasing an aura strong enough that the space around them cracked and healed.
The other four guardians were moving from one island to another, receiving every kind of pain imaginable; their screams reverberated all across the large white room, yet no matter how many times they went through all that, they couldn’t get numb to the pain or get used to it.
Jayden floated some distance away from the two guardians. For a moment, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. This was going to be the final battle that would decide the fate of not only him and his family but also of the whole universe, though he cared far more for his family than anything else.
“Bring it on, there are two spots still empty,” Jayden spoke as he allowed the world energy to consume his body completely, providing him far greater strength but also destroying his body much faster.
Silence consumed the space; in the next moment, it finally erupted. Jayden’s body was now covered with white dragon scales—these scales made solely from the world energy.
His fingers had turned into claws, his veins bulged to the point where they were about to explode, and his eyes had turned red to the extent that it seemed they were filled with blood.
“Be careful, he is going all out. This will be his last struggle, and that is also why it will be much more dangerous,” the Chronicler warned, then his body flashed as he rushed forward, the ancient book behind him following as its golden page flipped at lightning speed.
Weaver wasn’t behind; he didn’t rush forward. Instead, he controlled the strange symbols circling around him. They shimmered with light and seemed to melt into the space as they appeared around Jayden in the next instant.
“Wihs kafl qwot re diwor…” Weaver chanted strange incantations as the letters surrounded Jayden and began to pulse almost as if they were alive; then they turned into chains made of those symbols that moved to wrap around Jayden’s body.
But it wasn’t just meant to stop his movements; it would also lock his ability to control the energy, increase his pain and injury severalfold, and stop time itself around him.
On the other hand, the Chronicler waved his hand towards Jayden as two golden pages were torn from his book and floated toward Jayden; they turned into two figures—one with black skin and the other with white skin. Both figures appeared on either side of Jayden, their bodies filled with energy.
A thundering roar reverberated as Jayden gripped the space around him with his claws; as the chains came in contact with his body, he felt immense pain but, without letting it stop his movement, he continued. It ripped the space, tearing it apart over a few hundred meters.
Without stopping, Jayden exerted all the strength in his body as he ripped the chains into pieces; even after breaking them, the letters floated toward his body all of a sudden, almost placing a curse on him.
Just at that moment, the two black and white figures acted—strange light was cast out from their bodies and landed on Jayden, who was between them; instantly, a circular symbol appeared over the foreheads of the two figures and on Jayden.
“I have succeeded.” The Chronicler grinned. This move couldn’t hurt the opponent directly, but by using those black and white figures he would be able to control Jayden’s body like a puppet.
Just as Jayden was about to destroy the letters that were about to strike his body, his hands trembled and he felt a strong pull; with a glance, he saw the two figures around him forcefully lifting their hands upward—the letters had gotten too close already because of the sudden interruption, and it was difficult to move his hands.
Suddenly, Jayden’s cheeks bulged as the air around him became extremely hot; just as his mouth opened, he spat out a sea of purple flames that flowed like actual waves.
The quantity alone was astronomical, and even the intensity was exponentially high because of the dimensional stone.
The flames burned more than half of the symbols and successfully turned the black figure standing to his left into ashes before nothing was left, while the force on his body instantly lessened as Jayden moved at his full speed.
Around a quarter of the symbols still managed to land on his body. Although it wasn’t enough to stop his movements or the flow of energy, Jayden’s pain and injuries became much worse, and he found it a little difficult to use the energy.
Ignoring the Chronicler who was floating close to him, Jayden collected as much energy in his right hand as he could, making the red liquid climb over to his chin; the energy was so potent that even he couldn’t handle it.
Jayden was aware that the Chronicler would understand his thinking and knew he would attack Weaver first, so he decided to go with such a strong attack that their plans wouldn’t work.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
In the next instant, he swung his arm even before the destructive energy had moved out of his hand; it exploded in a deafening explosion. Jayden’s entire right arm was reduced to nothing as his body was thrown back violently, covering dozens of kilometres in just a second.
Weaver’s body shivered as he saw all that vast and dangerous energy rushing wildly toward him. It was so dangerous that it could almost be compared to the explosion of three black holes; its speed had risen to a level that neither the Chronicler nor Weaver had time to react to in any way.
“H- Help meeeeee!!!”
At the last moment, he could only arrange those symbols around him into a shield for protection. This was his strongest attack, and he hoped that he could get out of this with only some injuries.
But as soon as the devastating energy appeared in front of him, Weaver was filled with despair; the shield around him broke apart the moment the violent energy had touched it, and then he was swallowed whole by it—without even having time to scream, he felt his entire body being torn and ripped to shreds before exploding and disappearing.
The Chronicler saw this energy and moved back as fast as he could, his face growing more and more solemn; even he didn’t expect Jayden to make such suicidal attacks.

This storm of destruction had almost killed Jayden too, but he had used the force of the storm to push himself away just in time.
Yet his entire body was full of injuries; blood was flowing uncontrollably, and he coughed as more blood came out—his internal organs had been destroyed. His missing arm didn’t heal, nor did any of his other wounds; his body was at its limits, or maybe past them.
