Jayden coughed; his body was beyond repair and even a small attack could hurt him badly.

On the other hand, Zendax was mostly unhurt; so far, he hadn’t received many injuries and had recovered almost ninety percent of his total strength after being nearly killed by the world devourer— the large wound on his body was evidence.

“Haha, this is going to be much easier than I had expected. Is that all you have to offer? Don’t worry; after you are dead, I will be kind enough to send your family, your wives, and even your unborn child to meet you— what a happy reunion that would be.”

Zendax laughed; he had prepared for so many years just for this moment, thinking about every kind of possibility, and now he would finally succeed.

Jayden didn’t reply; he was too tired to even speak, and the red liquid had almost covered his body, leaving just a few centimeters now. He wouldn’t be able to last more than a few seconds. After staring into the empty space for a few seconds, he finally came to a decision.

Zendax landed in front of Jayden’s body, looking down at him with a big smile, feeling the joy of his victory. Now, he could finally complete his mission and gain whatever he had ever wished; the position of a guardian of this universe was nothing.

Jayden lay there, staring up at the roof of the room. Every scene of his life—everything he had experienced so far—played out in his mind: his time with all his women and family. He allowed himself to relax and just think about them for a moment.

“I guess it’s time I end this. I am in a hurry to get out of this damned universe and return to get all the glory,” Zendax spoke, raising his hands to deliver the final blow and end Jayden’s life.

“Yeah, this is truly the end…” a whisper escaped from Jayden’s lips. In the next instant, a wave of energy rushed out of his body, pushing Zendax dozens of meters away.

Space crackled around him as Jayden slowly rose into the air, then landed on his feet. His eyes had turned completely dark, his body completely consumed by the red liquid, and a deathly aura surged from him.

Zendax’s eyes widened in shock and fear. He moved back in haste as fast as he could while muttering:

“This is madness! Not only is he burning his body, but even his mind and soul. He is going to completely obliterate himself for this final surge of energy. With this, he won’t even be able to be born again; every trace of him would disappear.” Zendax shivered, feeling the intense aura of death, and decided to escape.
