Chapter 913: Reincarnation?
Black smoke surrounded Jayden’s body containing endless death energy, his hollow black eyes locked onto the escaping figure of Zendax; each step he took resounded across the entire space as his body flashed and travelled a large distance in mere moments.

Zendax only glanced back, and upon seeing Jayden’s current terrifying strength, he gave up on the idea to obtain this universe for now and decided to return to his universe first, although he would be punished for not completing his mission but at least he would be able to live.

“Your life is already near its end, I am leaving for now and when I return with more force you won’t be here to protect anyone, not even your family.”

After threatening, Zendax pointed the palm of his right hand forward and the ancient golden book that was floating behind him suddenly appeared in front of him and turned into a portal, leading close to Zendax’s universe.

‘Tch, I wasted so much time here, just to return empty-handed; emperor is not going to like this.’ While thinking, he rushed into the portal, exhausting a large amount of energy to increase his speed.

But just as half his body had entered the portal, a freezing cold hand suddenly gripped his neck from behind; before Zendax could make sense, he was pulled back forcefully and thrown away from the portal.

CRACK CRACK BOOM

After landing on the floor, Zendax looked up in horror and saw Jayden clutch the portal and crumble it to pieces without any effort; then his body disappeared, sending shivers all across the guardian’s body.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaah COUGH Ughhhh” Suddenly, Zendax felt something collide with his back as it pierced through his body and came out of his chest, and he looked down and saw Jayden’s hand that was made of energy and in his palm was the energy cluster containing the law of the world.

Jayden pulled his hand back and threw the energy cluster close to the other five energy clusters, all of them revolving around one another.

Since there were no guardians in the universe currently, the state of the universe had already started to worsen; it will bring great disasters to all the living beings until new guardians are selected or accepted by the universe.

“G- Get away from me, I- I admit defeat… I will leave haa haa this place just don’t kill me ughhh”

Zendax clutched the wound on his chest that was not healing much to his dismay, and he pushed his body backwards with his hands, the mere sight of the approaching demon instilling fear in his heart.

Jayden disappeared once again and in the next moment another heart-wrenching scream rang out as both the arms of the former guardian were obliterated in the most painful way; blood spewed out of his body as he rolled on the floor, then rose to his feet with great difficulty and began to run away.

“Want to escape?” a hoarse voice sounded as Zendax’s body froze. Jayden had suddenly appeared in front of him; he created two arms with energy and, with all his strength, sent a blade made of energy flowing towards Jayden.

Even if it doesn’t kill him, Zendax was sure Jayden would be hurt and he could buy some time.

Jayden didn’t even try to dodge as the large energy blade landed on his body; it just evaporated into nothingness as if water were touching a burning surface, then Jayden grabbed the air and pulled— pulling away all the skin that covered Zendax’s body, making his nerves and internal organs completely visible, leaving him screaming.

Just as Jayden was about to destroy Zendax’s legs, a white fog suddenly covered his eyes and his body froze; suddenly, all the pain he was feeling disappeared. It felt as if his mind was being pulled away; Jayden struggled, but soon his consciousness left his body.

In the next instant he found himself standing in a strange but familiar place.

At first, Jayden wondered if this was another attempt to attack his mind from Zendax, but then he felt that this was different—it wasn’t any kind of attack. Jayden observed the space around him; it was the same battlefield that he had seen a few years ago in his dream, the place where it all started.

‘Why am I here?’ Jayden thought, as he observed all the rulers of different races fighting with their armies.

In the opposition, Zendax just sat on his throne arrogantly while letting his army fight all the others; he looked around for a while and then he suddenly disappeared and joined the war.

Jayden observed it silently— maybe here he could get answers to his questions. Slowly, as more time passed, more and more people began to die, but the number of deaths was clearly lower on Zendax’s side.

The war continued, suddenly as if the video had started to play at ten times the speed; a few days had passed within a short while and when the time returned to normal, Jayden finally saw him standing in the middle of the war.

The same man whose entire body looked darker than the space itself and had glimmering stars all over his body, the same being who had reminded Jayden of Alien X, this was the World Devourer.

But unlike before, he didn’t pay attention to Jayden as the surroundings continued to change; after the World Devourer’s appearance, everything seemed to have become still.

‘Who is he holding?’ Jayden squinted his eyes, seeing the strongest being of the universe carrying someone in his arms.

‘N- No way, is that Alice?’ Jayden thought in shock, although the woman looked older and more mature than the Alice he knows, but it was her nonetheless, looking as gorgeous as ever.

But Jayden’s heart shook as he sensed that Alice’s body had no life in it; it seemed she was too badly injured in the war, unlike the current Alice who had turned into a vampire from human, this Alice was a Goddess.

Even though it is quite difficult to kill a god, it seemed Zendax had made his preparations in advance with the help of a few species who had betrayed their own universe just for some small gains.

Jayden sensed an insane amount of rage surging from the World Devourer; it almost seemed he was about to destroy the entire universe, his strength was truly terrifying.

Just as he was looking at them, Jayden then saw a few more familiar faces standing worriedly and with sad expressions behind the World Devourer.

There he saw Hecate, looking quite similar to the current witch of lies, though the current Hecate looked even more beautiful.

Then he saw Ada, the goddess of dreams, but at that time she seemed to possess demonic energy; she was a demon and seemed greatly injured to the point that she was barely alive and seemed to be taking her last breaths.

And soon his gaze landed on Anna, who looked much younger than the Anna he had seen not too long ago; she was slightly injured but still had a domineering expression on her face.
