Chapter 926: The remnants
The emperor shot a ray of energy towards Alice, aiming to rip her body to shreds and pull out whatever was inside her belly; he was quite enjoying the drama playing in front of him, and he loved seeing the expressions of fear, hopelessness, resentment, rage, and despair.

Just as the energy appeared in front of Alice, several others jumped in front of her. Eve transformed into her beast form as she shot energy from her mouth, hoping to make the energy disappear, but the power difference was too large.

“T- Thank you, my lord, for your mercy. I will do my best in the future to follow all your orders, no matter how difficult they might be.” Zendax instantly sat up and knelt, despite the pain he was feeling; all his skin had disappeared, and he looked like a mess of nerves and flesh.

“I will deal with you later, but for now, this universe seems a little interesting, so you can live for now.

And it seems there does seem to be some energy right there. Maybe you were right— something took away all the energy from this nameless universe.

I have felt it too: that all across space, across all the universes, the air is thinning slightly, energy is weakening. “My lord, can I participate too?” the first general asked. He bit his lower lips hard, trying to hold himself back. The perverse look and bloodlust apparent on his face showed he wanted to slaughter many of them.

“Hmmm, don’t ruin my fun. After I am done, I will give you enough of this livestock to do with them as you please. Now don’t interrupt me; otherwise, the consequences will be very severe.” the emperor said, and again turned his sight back to Alice, his expression turning back to one of disgust.

“Now, let’s start by cutting off your limbs.” Saying that, he raised his right hand and pointed it towards Alice, as invisible strings of greenish energy shot towards her like sharp blades.

Alice took a deep breath as she wrapped her arms around her bulging belly, knowing that any kind of resistance was useless; she just wished to be reunited with her husband and end this miserable situation.

Cutting through the air, several energy blades rushed towards Alice, aiming to slice off her limbs and tear open her belly. The others tried to stop them, but the emperor released a little of his aura pressure over them, making them unable to move as they could only watch the blades inch closer to the beautiful, white-haired vampire.

Alice, who had accepted her and her child’s end, suddenly felt a warm sensation over her skin; her eyelids fluttered open as she saw the pendant around her neck glow with a bright light. It was the same pendant that Jayden had left for them before his death.

It wasn’t only Alice’s pendant that was glowing; all the family felt this change as the pendants flew away from them and began to float in the air before being attracted toward one another and merging. Then an ethereal figure appeared that all of them instantly recognized.
