Right. Zayden was a manwh*re, who was on a spree to bed every woman he could get his hands on. He was worse than him when it came to bedding women, as Zayden only used women to satisfy his sadistic and brutal desires.

He loved the power that came with dominating a woman in bed.

Nicolai on the other hand at least gave women the basic respect that they deserved. But of course, he loved the power as well, who wouldn’t? This was the very reason why he was panicking, as he could feel that he was about to die with the legendary case of ——Blue Balls.

However, Nicolai realized that Zayden was useless. This man wouldn’t be able to tell him what was the cause of his condition. Onto the next one.

He jumped up from his chair and then ran out of his office. Nicolai sprinted down the stairs and rushed to the door that was at the other end of the hall. He kicked open the door of the room that belonged to Aiden, causing the door to smash against the wall.

Aiden looked up from the book that he was reading. Something about the Brain, Receptors, and Nerves.

Dear Lord, what in the world did that even mean? If not for the fact that Aiden had learned to kill and use a gun, and would shoot down any motherf*cker who messed with him without batting an eye, Nicolai would have sent his blood and hair for a DNA test.

There was no way someone as peace-loving and calm could be born in this family. It was as if Aiden did everything to fight off their genetics and passed those extra genes to Zayden, who loved violence much more than a normal human would.

Nicolai swore that the day when he found out that Aiden wanted to become a doctor who treated and mended humans instead of burying them in the ground—— he was about to disown Aiden. His mother stopped him, saying that there was no need for him to be so dramatic.

He wished he could show how boring Aiden was being, maybe then she would understand why the disownment was necessary.

“Was that your attempt to give me a heart attack?” Aiden asked calmly. He did not even bat an eye, as he looked at him with his grey eyes that were blanker than the slate that Nicolai used as a kid.

Nicolai narrowed his eyes and walked over to where Aiden was sitting. He crossed his arms in front and questioned Aiden, “Have you ever been attracted or hung up on one woman?”

Aiden studied him for two seconds before shaking his head. He stated casually, “No. I will not do something as wasteful as clinging to a woman when there are many to replace.”

Of course, Nicolai was the same. He would have turned to another woman if he could damn it! Fantastic! Nico The Great was acting all picky, and he had no idea what to do with him.

Seeing the dejected look on Nicolai’s face, Aiden sighed and questioned, “What is going on Nico?”

“I want to kill someone and tear them limb by limb. That is what’s going on,” replied Nicolai as he turned on his heels and walked out of the room that belonged to Aiden, leaving his cousin speechless and worried.

“You wouldn’t kill someone so ruthlessly, will you, Nico?”

“Nico?”

“NICO!”

“Is something the matter son?” Madam De Luca looked at her only son and questioned. She put down the glass of red wine on the dining table and said, “You look like you have a lot on your mind?”

Her words caused, his uncle, Kieran to look up from his rare steak and give him a hard look. Even his aunt, Nadia who was sitting on the side of his uncle took a look at him causing Nicolai to blink his eyes. He took a swig of the red wine and said to his mother, “Nothing, it’s nothing. I just have a small thing that I need to take care of.”

His mother, with her ruby-red eyes and wavy blonde hair that was tucked in a neat bun, turned to look at him. Inez De Luca narrowed her eyes and questioned, “The look on your face doesn’t look like it’s nothing, come on, tell me. Maybe I will be of some help.”

Inez De Luca was a wonderful woman, but she was too protective of her kin. Even the smallest frown brought her mama bear instincts to surface and right now, Nicolai was doing more than just frowning.

Nicolai knew that he would not be able to get away from his mother and her suspicions. Thus, he pursed his lips and began, “This is not about me. It’s about my friend.” On the side, Zayden burst out laughing, his shoulders twitched as Nicolai shot him a dirty look.

While Aiden and Zena looked confused as to what was going on.

“Okay?” Inez drawled. It was clear that she did not believe what Nicolai was saying to her, but she was willing to play along. Nicolai knew this too, but he thickened his skin and continued,

“This friend of mine met with a woman, and he found her amusing. Just amusing … Nothing more, nothing less. But now the thing is that he cannot get this woman out of her head, it’s terrible.”

“How bad is it?” Kieran asked while wiping his lips with the napkin.

“Bad enough that he cannot find another woman attractive?” Nicolai offered. He saw the adults looking at one another before Nadia turned to look at him, she said to him, “Maybe this friend of yours loves that woman?”

“That’s not possible,” Nicolai refused at once, he did not believe in love, nor will he ever fall in love. His parents fell into that dumb trap and look where it brought them. His father fell out of love and married another much better woman as he always insisted that too during his marriage with his mother.

While Inez was left broken-hearted and alone to raise a kid by herself. She did a wonderful job but Nicolai, soon learned that there was no point in trusting that stupid thing called love.

So how could he fall in love with Pallas? Not to mention Pallas had no feelings for him.
