Chapter 111: What happened to Ariana?
Bret glanced at Ryan, who sat huddled in the corner of the coffee shop without saying much. Maybe he learned his lesson from his last encounters, he no longer created a racket, instead, he calmly purchased his coffee and sat in the corner without saying much.
It should have been a good thing but because of his persistence, Bret and Stella had to face Ryan for hours as he refused to leave.
Hearing his words, Stella sighed. At this point, she was getting tired of the lovers’ quarrel but since this quarrel belonged to her boss, Stella did not pry her nose into it. Instead, she did the sensible thing and turned to look at Bret before saying, “Mister De Luca wants another latte.”
“Got it,” Bret got to work as he turned on the machine while grinding the coffee beans with a hand machine. “Why Latte, though? Isn’t it too sweet for him? I thought he would like something more rugged like black coffee ?”
Nicolai did look like he was one of those macho men who loved dark things including bitter things. But the second Stella offered him a no milk, less cream and no sugar coffee, the man looked so close to burning the coffee shop that dared not to do it again.
“Who knows?” Stella offered a shrug as she leaned on the coffee aisle. With her elbows resting on the surface of the aisle, she turned to look at Nicolai. “He can be one of those fluffy guys, maybe?”
“Him?” Bret asked with a raise of his brow as he prepared the latte. His hands moved busily. “Are you sure? I thought that the last time he shoved someone’s hand in their arse and continued shoving it until it came out of their mouth.”
Both of them shivered in disgust as Stella took her words back, “Sorry about that, but where is Ari? She should have been here an hour ago, but she is late by two hours.”
“Should I call her?” Bret asked as he placed the newly made Latte cup in front of Stella who picked it up and placed it on the tray before nodding her head.
“Give the poor girl a call, who knows what kind of situation she might be in at the moment,” Stella already knew that Ari now had a debt of ten million dollars because of her gambling father. Even she would have lost her mind if her father dared to do and Stella had a future set ahead of her. She was still young and was studying.
While Ari on the other hand had already missed the time to start her medical internship, even if she were to go out now, who knows whether she would be accepted by any hospital and even if they did accept her…would they pay her?
It seemed impossible. After all, Ari had wasted three golden years of her youth when she should have worked on her internship.
Bret nodded while Stella walked over to where Nicolai sat and placed the cup of latte in front of him.
But then the door of the café was open and Ari walked inside, however the second she stepped inside Nicolai who was sitting stood up. His back muscles rippled beneath his shirt as he stared at the limping woman.
So he had picked being the nice guy these days, and he hadn’t spilt anyone’s blood.
But that was going to change this f*cking second. Nicolai did not know which string of his snapped, but it freaking did, he looked at Ari whose face was swollen, and her clothes were covered in dirt before something exploded inside him.
And there was only one thought in his head ——
‘Someone’s going to die today,’
Too cheesy? He f*cking did not care. Someone had touched the woman on whom he had set his eyes even if it was out of curiosity. But Nico The Great wanted her, which meant that he wanted her, and it equalled this motherf*cker who touched Ari just sent him a middle finger.
And no one sent middle fingers to Nicolai De Luca without getting snapped in half. End of the story.
It was going to be a bloodbath. Thank you.
“What happened to you, Ari?” Stella, who just turned to greet the person who entered, yelped in surprise. She looked at Ari whose entire body language was screaming that she was tormented and tossed about, and walked over to Ari.
‘Yeah, what happened? Because I need names,’ Nicolai thought as he pushed his chair and walked over to where the two women were standing, his pace slow and stalker-ish.
Except it was nothing stalker-like as he wanted Ari to notice him, which she did as raised her baby blue eyes and looked at him.
Nicolai swore that the second she looked at him with that broken and scared gaze, something pulled him. He knew that it was some spell that this witch had cast on him because it f*cking bound him to her.
Ari hesitated, she looked at Stella and did not want to tell her that she had just got herself even more in trouble. She had lost one freaking million dollars that Nicolai had given to her, and Ari did not have a freaking clue on how she was going to pay that money back.
“It’s nothing. I met with a small accident,” she then turned to look at Nicolai over Bret’s shoulders, who came running when he saw her covered in blood and dirt. “Can we talk?”
Nicolai raised a brow. He had expected another round of screaming and telling off, as this woman was kind of an a-hole. While he had been keeping her company by following her on the walk—— Ariana made it her mission to relay to him that the feelings of joy were not mutual.
She only greeted him with a narrowing of her eyes, death glares and occasional scoffs through her luscious lips.
This was a first.

Ari asking him whether they could talk.
There was no way Nicolai was giving up on this opportunity as his d*ck really needed a release, not that it would be that easy.
“Let’s go.”
