Nicolai was naturally not going to tell anything to Zayden. He ignored the man and questioned Aiden, “Just tell me whether you are going to agree or not, if you aren’t willing, then I can only look for someone else.” It wasn’t as if there were no doctors in this city apart from Aiden. He could not raise a gun and threaten Aiden as he was a familia, but that did not mean that he was unable to do the same to others.

Aiden and Nicolai have grown up together, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Nicolai grew up drinking the milk of his aunt. Because Inez was injured in a gang war, she couldn’t provide enough milk to Nicolai when he was young. Thus, the three cousins grew up as bosom brothers.

So it wasn’t difficult for Aiden to realize what Nicolai was thinking, his eyes narrowed, and he questioned, “If I don’t agree are you going to threaten someone?”

Nicolai did not answer, but it was enough for everyone to understand his thoughts. Zayden was confounded as to what kind of spell that woman cast on his cousin, while Aiden and Zena were simply speechless.

After a pause, Zena who was busy with the accounts of their legal business turned her gaze from the laptop. She then said to Nicolai, “Nico, have you thought about it? Is that woman really worth it? I am not trying to stop you but are you sure this is not just one of your mood swings?”

Her brother was different from others. His tantrums were never simple. When he got angry, he only saw red, and it took weeks for him to calm down along with the blood of many. Similarly, when he was bored, he did things …impulsive things that were dangerous and too risky.

She wanted to ask him if he had taken his medications but swallowed her words back. She knew very well that Nicolai hated his medicines more than anything.

Nicolai did have an answer for this, he did not know if this was one of his impulses, or if he was genuinely attracted to Pallas. All he knew was there was something about her that made him move, as for the rest of matters he did not think about it. Thinking wasn’t his forte either, punching and pummeling his enemies was.

However, this case couldn’t be solved with fists, so he had no idea about it. He rolled his eyes and turned to look at Aiden, “Are you going to agree or not?” Since he did not have an idea about anything, there was no need for him to answer Zena.

The three siblings probably realized that they would not get an answer from Nicolai.

They sighed before Aiden said, “Very well. If this is what you want, then I will let her complete her internship in our hospital.” It wasn’t as if he could refuse, if he did, then Nicolai would go ahead and threaten every doctor in the city.

The last thing they wanted was another round of attention.

Only then did Nicolai let go of Aiden and let the man have his personal space. However, a second later, Aiden paused and questioned, “What about Penny then?”

“Penny?” Nicolai questioned as he turned his head and looked at Aiden. He seemed genuinely confused, causing Aiden to roll his eyes.

“Penelope Ashford, the heiress and the daughter of Killian Ashford, have you forgotten about her already? She has been coming to the company to look for you for months now!” Aiden helped Nicolai recall who was this woman named Penny.

“What does that have to do to me?” Nicolai stated with a raise of his brow he walked over to the table in his office and opened the secret compartment before taking out a gun. He placed it inside the holster, which was hidden in his jacket. “I did not ask her to come looking for me. Not to mention, she is annoying as f*ck. If not for the fact that she is Keon’s sister, I would have filled her mouth with bullets.”

After Nicolai remembered who this Penny character was, his expression turned sour.

That woman was not only chirpy, she pretended to be someone she wasn’t. Acting all saintly and polite like hell, if he asked for her to strip she would take off her clothes and crawl to him begging to suck him off.

Getting together with a woman as dual face as that? No, thanks. Nicolai would rather rub his Nico the Great with sandpaper.

Seeing how reluctant Nicolai was, Aiden sighed. The Ashfords were really influential, and they had their connections in the underworld, if Nicolai had gotten together with Penelope, then it would have certainly strengthened their familia.

“Where are you going?” Zayden, on the other hand, did not care about Ashford’s family or Penny. He believed in his gun and hands, and not in marriage alliances. He glanced at Nicolai who was putting in a bullet case inside his jacket and narrowed his eyes, “Are you going to blow something off? If you are, take me with you, I haven’t blown anything for weeks.”

“Have you forgotten about the fact that we need to lie low?” Zena asked with a hint of exasperation as she looked at the two men. Was she the only one who was worried here?

Nicolai turned to look at Zayden whose eyes seemed to be alight with amusement and sadistic humor. He grinned and stated, “I call dibs on the boss, you can deal with the minions.”

His words were all Zayden needed, he laughed in amusement and then jumped down the couch. All thoughts left forgotten he pulled out the mini bombs and guns before turning to look at Aiden, “Do you need your knives for some stress relief, doc?”

Aiden hesitated, he did not want to agree but then Nicolai said, “I am not going to another hunt for another three weeks.” After this hunt, his mother would probably chew him out, which meant that he needed to stay put for at least three weeks. But Mister Fletcher had it coming when he touched Pallas!

“I am coming,” Aiden agreed after some hesitation. Though he was a doctor in the end, he was also familia.
