Kayden reached out his hand and stopped Nicolai from shooting the man dead. Even if Dominic deserved it, this was not the time to hold his funeral.
“Dominic, my cousin is a bit impulsive. I hope you will forgive his blunt remark,” said Kayden with a snake-like smile on his face. “Let me rephrase what he meant, my cousin was trying to ask—— are you trying to betray the Phantoms, Dominic?”
“No. No, what do you mean, Mister Dimitri?” Dominic felt his heartbeat quicken. They had been bantering back and forth since the afternoon, and he didn’t expect Kayden to say such a thing. “How can I? I have been with the Phantoms for years.”
“Just because you have been with us for years, doesn’t mean that you will not betray us,” Kayden retorted, he raised his hand and the bodyguard behind him took out an envelope that he had kept in his pocket.
With an unhurried flick of his wrist, Kayden took the envelope and threw it at Dominic.
The bodyguard who was standing behind Dominic immediately caught the envelope and then checked it carefully. When the man was certain that there was nothing inside the white envelope that would harm Dominic, he handed it to him.
“Don’t think too much of his actions, gentlemen,” said Dominic as he heaved a sigh of relief inwardly. “He is just too cautious because of his job.”
As he spoke he fiddled with the envelope and opened it, however, once the envelope opened all the blood drained from Dominic’s face.
“You have been getting quite chummy with the Serpents, eh Dominic. What’s wrong? Their di*ks are longer than ours? Or do they taste better when you suck them?” Kayden questioned calmly as he stared at the man.
Dominic raised his head and looked at Kayden who flashed him a smile. He was calm collected and completely in control. As if he were not looking at a man who had betrayed his gang and joined hands with someone else.
“Thi…this is not what you think, Mister Dimitri. They asked me to meet, but I did not agree——”
It happened so quickly that the bodyguards did not even get a chance to respond. One second Dominic was talking, the next second his entire body was slumped on the table.
Blood pooled under his head before dripping down the ground.
“What a motherfucker,” Nicolai muttered as he dropped his hand to his side. “Is this why you asked me to come so early in the morning?” They went back and forth, again and again.
Nicolai, who couldn’t sit still in the chair for less than three seconds, was forced to sit for hours.
Oh, the torment.
The bodyguards who came with Dominic realized what happened and when they tried to reach for their gun, Nicolai and Kayden, who were not even looking at them—— shot them right in the head.
“No, I called you to keep that man busy,” replied Kayden with a calculative smirk on his face. “You might be useless in many things, cousin, but you are a wonderful distraction with that loud personality of yours.”
“Do you want to die?” Nicolai questioned. He could have gone to pick Pallas up or could have invited her to lunch——-
But!
He stayed in this smelly metal box and looked at Dominic’s ugly face.
“Nope. But I think the Serpents do have a death wish,” Kayden stated as he stood up from the chair on which he was sitting. “They are trying to spread their influence to the Lonest city. Can’t you see? Something is up. Those fries have stayed in their lane, and we have stayed in ours, but they are suddenly on the move.”
Nicolai knew this too. He had noticed the activities of Serpents long ago, it was as irksome as a fly dancing in front of his face.
Unfortunately, he could not smack it dead.
“Send a few of our men to their territory and have them deal with the underlings of that man,” Nicolai had never seen Master Roman, but he had heard about him a lot. That man appeared out of thin air, thirteen to fourteen years ago and took charge of the Serpents.
Ever since then, Serpents have ruled Clover City.
However, the premise was they never crossed the line that Phantoms had drawn.
“They tried to poach our arms dealer, certainly they have crossed a line. It’s only right that they are given a taste of their actions,” stated Nicolai as he strode out of the metal box, he tugged on his jacket and threw it at Patrick who caught it with ease.

“Finally, I can breathe, I thought I was going to die out of suffocation in a box,” if he was going to die because of suffocation, Nicolai would like to be straddled by Ari’s thighs with his face in between them.
That would be a rocking way to leave the world, tainting the goodie to shoes and going out with a bang.
Kayden did not make any sarcastic remarks as he was busy with his phone.
The two men walked over to the car which was parked in an inconspicuous spot. However, a second later they heard the sound of the police’s siren.
“Serpents?” Nicolai asked as he turned to the man behind him.
Kayden smirked and showed Nicolai his phone. “I am afraid it was an angry husband whose ex-wife you are trying to fuck.” Nicolai looked at the information displayed on the phone’s screen, cursed Noah a hundred times and then said to Patrick, “Move it, everyone!”
He wasn’t afraid of getting caught and thrown in prison, but that would hinder his stalking program.
If he did not turn up at Ari’s apartment tomorrow morning, his Pallas would certainly sulk.
