Chapter 195: Crude names?
While Mrs Nelson could not understand why Master Roman couldn’t just take this woman away, she understood that there must be a reason for him to do things in such a manner.

Of course, Mrs Nelson did not care about it.

However, she did care about the safety of her family and Mrs Nelson wouldn’t let anything that could harm her family close to her or her family.

For her Ariana was like a fucking bomb that could ruin everything for her and the family which Mrs Nelson had protected with all her power and strength.

She wanted to chase Ariana away, but couldn’t. If this was true then…

“Mister Nelson, if you cannot reign her barking, shall I provide you with a dog trainer?”

Her train of thoughts paused in between when she heard the crude words that Nicolai directed her way.

Mrs Nelson snapped her head and gave Nicolai a stinky look. She said, “I hope you did not just call me a dog, Mister De Luca.”

“I didn’t call you a dog, Mrs Nelson,” said Nicolai with a smile and just when Mrs Nelson thought that she had perfectly intimidated the man, she heard him say, “I called you a bitch.”

“Nicolai!” Noah, who stood silently, could no longer stop himself. He turned to look at the man and warned him in a low voice, “My mother is your elder, logically speaking you should be calling her ‘aunt’, so how can you use such harsh words for her.”

“Why not? Mister Nelson, you need to understand that I only respect a person if they earn my respect,” Nicolai stated with a small smile playing on his lips.

He turned to look at Mrs Nelson again, the woman was panting with anger and frustration as she dared not raise her hand on Nicolai. “And right now, I am only seeing a mad bitch biting everyone without any discrimination.”

“How dare you!” Mrs Nelson had never been disrespected in such a way before, her nostrils flared, and she turned to look at Ariana before questioning, “Are you looking at this?”

Ariana sighed. She walked in front of Nicolai as the fact that someone was protecting her did not sit well with her. Ever since she was a child, no one had cared for her, much less protected her.

And the one person who pretended to care for her while protecting her on the pretext of liking her almost ruined her.

“I am,” Ariana came to a stop in front of Nicolai. Her hands were held in front of her like a demure woman whose bones held the same elegance and pride as a princess despite her humble birth. “I apologize on his account, for he did go too far with his words. However, this doesn’t change anything. Mrs Nelson, Mister de Luca is correct. I am not your son’s wife anymore. You cannot expect me to stay quiet when you are raising your hands on me.”

“I hope that this will be the last time when you make such a fuss. The next time you interrupt me during working hours, I will ask the security to throw you out of the hospital.”

With that, Ariana turned on her feet and walked away.

Noah, on the other hand, couldn’t stomach her indifference and the way she stood up to apologize in Nicolai’s place.

“Why are you apologizing instead of him?” He questioned tasting a bitterness in his mouth. “Is Mister De Luca not capable of apologizing when he is in the wrong?”

Ariana did not hand in any more explanation. She turned and looked at Noah over her shoulder. She said, “Mister Nelson, I am only offering an apology because I know that if I don’t then your mother will keep bothering me.” She then glanced at Nicolai and stated, “If you think that you can get an apology from Mister De Luca then you can give it a try.”

She blinked her eyes and scathingly spoke, “As for the harsh words of your mother…let’s say that my heart is too big, and I do not need an apology to forgive her.”

“Are you calling me petty!” Mrs Nelson understood the subtle meaning hidden in the words of Ariana.

“Mrs Nelson, have you ever heard of a phrase —— let the past stay in the past?” Ariana spoke without raising her voice. She sounded tired and annoyed as she stated, “I have divorced your son, now you can have any woman whom you seem fit to marry your son. You have instilled the very thought of how unfitting and undeserving I was of your son, and I agree. Our match was simply ridiculous.”

She curled her lips in mockery before turning to look away as she hid the heartache in her eyes.

“Since everything has happened according to your wishes, you should be happy with it. Stop asking for more, I am neither your servant nor you are my saviour, I do not need to wait for your permission to live my life.”

Ariana walked away without looking at the people behind her. Nicolai, on the other hand, glared at Noah and Mrs Nelson before saying, “You heard her, didn’t you? Stay away from her.”

With that, he chased after Ariana.

“Noah, this….” Mrs Nelson did not feel comfortable with the very thought of Nicolai chasing Ariana.

Noah felt a headache coming. He pressed his fingers on his forehead as he asked his mother, “Why are you here, mother? Was Ariana speaking the truth? Did you bother her at work?”

Though that did happen, Mrs Nelson did not wish to accept her mistake. She said angrily, “What do you mean that I bothered her? I was just being kind to her by asking her to come back with me. Can you not see? She is acting so stupidly. She couldn’t even take care of you, how can she become a doctor and care for the patients?”

Mrs Nelson harrumphed and added with a snort, “I was just looking out for her and stopping her from suffering humiliation. Forget about thanking me, she is not even grateful. Look at how she disrespected me.”
