“Father, I know that you are angry,” Mrs. Mia who could almost imagine the words that Mister Adrien wanted to say to Noah, immediately chimed up. “However, the matter of divorce was not brought up by Noah, but instead it was that wret——I mean Ariana who requested for one. You couldn’t certainly hope that Noah would force her to stay by his side?”
Mister Adrien placed the spoon in his hand on the dining table before picking up the napkin with which he wiped his lips.
“Do you wish to tell me the cause of their divorce?” Mister Adrien remarked casually, causing Mrs. Mia to stiffen. Noticing her actions, Mister Adrien simply placed the napkin down on the table. “It seems like the fault lies with Noah.”
“That is not the——”
“Do you intend to tell me that the fault lay with Ariana? If it was the case, Mia, you would have announced it to the world, the very fact that you cannot tell me the reason for their divorce is that Ariana was not in the wrong,” Mister Adrien was someone who had braved storms and faced wars to bring the Nelson family where it was at present.
How could he not see through the lies that were stacked against him?
Noah clenched his fingers until the fork and knife dug into his skin. He said, “Be that may be the case, but I do not love or desire Ariana. By making us get married, you only put me in a position that was filled with nothing but despair. I love someone else, grandfather.”
“Of course.” Mister Adrien closed his eyes as he curled his lips in a disdainful smile. “I thought that with time you will understand what you should and shouldn’t do, but it seems like not only your eyes but also your ears have stopped working.”
“You say that you have never done anything shameful and yet, you are still entangled with that woman.”
“It was because of Ariana that Ariel——”
BANG!
Mister Adrien’s fist hit the table as he raised his head and sharply stared at Noah. “That may be the case, but a woman who clings onto the husband of her sister despite knowing that she is married to you… for me, a woman like that is disgraceful and shameless.”
“You want to marry her? Very well. You are free to do so but remember to hand in your resignation to me the very first thing before you pursue that woman.”
He stood up from his chair and stared down at Noah. “I thought three years was enough of a time for you to grow up, but now I think …it’s better to donate my shares rather than hand them to you, Noah.”
With that, he turned on his cane and walked away, Killian following closely behind.
Upon reaching the bottom of the staircase, Mister Adrien turned to look at Jeremy and said, “Come with me there is something that I want to say to you.”
“He is going to blame me for leading you astray,” Jeremy sighed as he stood up from his chair and followed his father to the study, leaving Noah stiff and silent as he sat on his chair.
‘Why does it have to be Ariana?’ Noah questioned with frustration.

“Thank you,” Ariana thanked the barista as she took her daily black coffee with no sugar and cream from her.
“You are welcome, please come again,” as Ariana was a regular customer of the small café that was just down the street near her apartment building, the workers were rather friendly with her.
Ari smiled before turning to leave, as she stepped out of the café, she took in a deep breath that filled her lungs. As she started to walk down the street, she heard the door of the café closing behind her with a small jingle of the bell.
While Ariana took a walk with Timmy, she couldn’t help but notice the absence of a certain figure that did not appear in front of her.
‘Is he not here because of last night?’ Ariana thought however she shook her head and chided herself, “Why are you even worrying about that man, Ari? Isn’t it nice that he is not here?”
She sighed and then continued her walk down the path when she heard a commotion from the other end of the street. Ari noticed that most of the residents of the apartment stood at the end of the building.
“Listen to me and get down!” One of the men shouted while looking at the roof of the building. It was only then did Ariana followed his gaze and saw a woman standing at the top of the roof of the building.
She was holding a twelve-year-old boy in her arms as she refused to listen to the man who was speaking to her.
“What happened here?” One of the women whispered to the person standing next to her. Just like Ariana, she just arrived at the building and did not know what went down in a matter of a few hours.

The person next to the woman shook his head, “It’s terrible. You don’t know it turns out that the husband of this woman was lying to her all along. The fifteen years of marriage that they shared was nothing but a farce,” the man replied in a low voice and Ari quickly turned to look at the man. “That man was already married and had a wife.”
“Oh my goodness,” the woman who asked the question. Her hands flew to her mouth as she covered it with her hands.
The man nodded solemnly at her exclamation, “Imagine finding out that what you have known for years has been nothing but a lie that was fed to you. I don’t blame the woman, if someone else was in her place, they would lose their sanity as well.” As he finished speaking, the man shook his head.
Ariana sucked in a breath upon hearing those words. She looked up at the woman whose eyes were vacant as she stared in some random direction.
Something flashed inside her eyes, but then the responsibility that she had made her forget everything.
She stepped forward and then said to the Secretary of the building, “Please bring a thick blanket and cushion it with an even thicker mattress. The woman is not in the right state of mind, we have to take her to the hospital.”
“Isn’t it better to take her to asylum?”
