Chapter 225: Heading to the Tea Party
“What do you mean?” Nicolai brought his head down to face the front so quickly that he created afterimages. It was not even funny as Aiden was petrified when he saw this sudden superpower of his cousin awaken.

“What do you think?” Aiden offered as he calmed down. He tugged at the collar of his pyjamas and then answered, “Noah went looking for Ariana today…and can you please keep your face away from my personal space?”

Aiden raised his hand and pushed Nicolai off as he leaned closer and closer to him.

“You are making me uncomfortable, Nico.”

“Why did you not stop him?” Nicolai asked with a wild look in his eyes. If not for the fact that he was trying to establish something here, he would have run to that woman.

Seriously, who said that he had a face that attracted birds and bees? But compared to him, Ariana seemed to attract more bees…no she attracted useless wasps.

“Didn’t you like a thousand times say that you were so over her?” Aiden remarked as he settled down on the fluffy bed with a few soft and comfortable pillows behind him. However, upon being glared at by Nicolai, he cleared his throat and said, “And Noah came to the hospital to get treatment, what do you expect me to do?”

“You can do plenty of things. Hang a signboard that reads ——dogs and Noah Nelson not allowed, this is bound to work,” Nicolai said to his brother, feeling annoyed over the fact that this man stayed quiet despite knowing that Noah went to look for Ariana.

“I work in a hospital, Nico,”

“Even better. Let that man die, I believe that his stay in this world has been long overdue as well,” Nicolai stated with his arms crossed in front of him.

Aiden felt his head throb, he raised his hand and rubbed his forehead. Now he was feeling regretful, he shouldn’t have said anything to this man.

“This is not how it works, Nicolai,” Aiden turned to look at the man who seemed agitated before saying in a teasing voice, “But why are you so annoyed? Did you not say that you were giving up on her?”

“Giving up on whom?” A new voice joined them.

The two men turned to look at Inez who was dressed in a black suit with her blonde hair tied in a long ponytail, her red eyes burned with the same intensity as her son’s as she stepped inside the room.

She looked at the two men who were staring at her as if they did not expect to see her.

“Gave up on whom, Nico? What were you talking about?” Inez asked as she looked at the two men with a frown on her face.

“Mom!” Nicolai did not want Inez to know about Ariana. If his mother was to know that Ariana was the reason his Nico the Great was broken, and she was on the verge of seeing the De Luca family come to an end——

She would certainly not leave Ariana alone.

“Where are you going?” He asked. His mother usually dressed up in a single white shirt and black pants, he had never seen her dress up like this.

“I am going to the tea party arranged by Mrs. Levine,” Inez answered without pressing for the question to be answered. She tugged at the ruby-red brooch on her bosom before saying, “She asked for my presence.”

“Isn’t she good friends with that woman?” Nicolai remarked as he knew that his father married Regina. The best friend of Mrs Levine at present.

“I know,” Inez disdainfully curled her lips, “Which is why I need to turn up at her Tea party even more. Since they want to see my tears so much….” She raised her hand and clasped hold of the vase next to Aiden’s bed before shattering it into pieces. “I will make sure that when I step out of that place everyone will be reduced to nothing but tears.”

“Woah, mom! I would like to go too!” Nicolai said to Inez as he stepped forward. He did not want Regina to even get ten feet close to his mother.

“I am fine, Nico,” Inez said to her son as she stretched out her hand and touched the top of his head. “Your mother is way stronger than she was in the past.”

Nicolai pursed his lips. He did not deny the words of his mother, but at the same time, he was worried. Worried that he would see his mother walk out of her room and——

“I will be with Mom, Nico,” Zena spoke up when she saw that Nicolai’s expression did not seem well. “Don’t worry if that woman tries anything. I will shoot first and ask later.” As she spoke, she took out a gun that she had kept under her dress.

“Great, you do that,” Nicolai made the gesture of thumbs up.

While Zena smirked as she tucked the gun under her dress.

“You two,” Inez was speechless on her side, Nadia was laughing with her hand elegantly held in front of her. For her, this conversation of the siblings was rather amusing.

“Don’t laugh,” Inez said to her sister with a roll of her eyes. “They would foolishly start thinking it’s fine to do such a thing.”

She then turned to look at Nicolai before saying, “I don’t know about whom you were talking about Nico…” With her hand raised she cupped his cheek and brought her forehead to his. “But never … ever hurt a woman like how your father did, alright?”

“I promise Mom,” Nicolai agreed as he clenched his fists on his sides. “I will never become a man like him.”

“Good,” Inez pulled back and smiled at Nicolai as she patted his cheek before saying, “I will be back soon, don’t worry too much.”

With that, Inez turned to leave but as she turned around, Nicolai said to Zena, “I wasn’t joking. If that woman tries anything —— Shoot her.”
