Chapter 265: Not into little girls
Nicolai’s smile turned into a burst of full-blown laughter when he finished reading Ariana’s message.
“Looks like she has learned some bad words from me,” he muttered under his breath. His fingers tapped on the screen as he made a call, but his little wild cat never answered his call. “How heartless.”
[Stop bothering me, Mister De Luca. I have a surgery to attend tomorrow.]
[Sleep tight, baby.]
[I am not your baby.]
[Not yet but someday you will be.]
[Never.]
[Never say never, Pallas.]
Nicolai exited the messaging app when Ariana did not answer him again. However, instead of pocketing his phone, he hummed a jolly tune before ordering a small gift for his Pallas.
“Operation snatch that bastard’s position,” Nicolai pressed the final payment option before muttering, “Starts.”
Since Noah had occupied a large part of Ariana’s memories and life, Nicolai was going to rewrite those memories. And since he was a stubborn motherf*cker, it was not going to be difficult for him to paint all the memories that Ariana had Noah into his own.
Oh, Pallas, wouldn’t even know what hit her by the time she was in his bed, covered in his marks.
“Brother Nico,”
Nicolai, who was in a great mood, turned around and looked at the person calling him. His smile slipped down as he saw who it was.
“Penelope, how many times have I told you to not come here,” Nicolai was not surprised that Penelope came to look for him. See this was the problem with clingy women and Penelope with her stubborn attitude topped the charts.
The woman, however, pretended not to listen to him. Or maybe she was suffering from temporary deafness that came and went at just the right time.
“Brother Nico, I missed you,” she said in a breathy voice, it would have done something to him in the past but now that Nico the Great had turned pickier than a fourth grader——
Nicolai did not feel anything.
Penelope, on the other hand, seemed to be completely oblivious to his disinterest. Her small stature came to a stop in front of him and Nicolai sucked in a breath.
And no, not in a good —— oh my god manner.
Nope, it was —— what the hell is that!?
Penelope was dressed in a dress that was far too small for her. It clung to her body pitifully, which showed off her curves, her long legs and bosom were in clear view and Nicolai felt nothing but disgust.
The two of them have grown up together more or less and now that she had turned up in front of him dressed like the wh*res he used to f*ck but had no desire to marry them —— Nicolai wanted to pour f*cking sulfuric acid in his eyes and his brain while he was at it.
‘Dear lord, why me?’ Nicolai pinched the bridge of his nose.
This felt like walking onto Zena while she was changing, and Nicolai was certain that he did not want a repetition of it.
Of course, if it was his Pallas then he was open to watching the show with popcorn in hand.
Seriously, Nico the great, you need to chill. Imagining such scenarios ain’t getting us anywhere. Let’s deal with the situation at hand first.
“Penelope, for the love of God. Did you not find a dress that fits you?” Nicolai asked exasperatedly as he looked away. “Is this how you should be dressed to meet a friend of your brother?”
Penelope pouted as she took a step closer to Nicolai, “I am not here to see the friend of my brother, Brother Nico. I am here to see the man I like.” Her cheeks turned red at her confession.
“Well, I don’t like you. Glad we could clear that up,” Nicolai’s words were cruel as he turned on his feet to walk away.

“Brother Nico!” Penelope did not expect that the man would treat her like such. No matter what, she was Keon’s sister, Nicolai should have at least treated her better than a f*ck buddy chasing after him.
Because she was rushing to chase after Nicolai, Penny tripped over her heels as her legs caught one another.
“Ah!” She cried out loud, and Nicolai, who was walking ahead of her, turned his head to look at her.
Penelope’s eyes brightened when she saw Nicolai looking over, but the man jumped aside just as her body could touch him.
“Ah, thank goodness. I almost lost whatever scarce virtue was left of mine,” Nicolai patted his chest. What if this matter was somehow relayed to Ariana? That woman would kick him out of her life before he could say —— Unfair.
“Brother Nico, why did you move away?” Penelope demanded. She was hurt by how Nicolai was avoiding her, even though he saw her fall, he did not save her and watched her go down.
Nicolai shrugged his shoulders. “Is there some law that states that I have to save you if you fall?”
“I am the sister of your friend!” Penelope scrambled to her feet with difficulty.
“Not for long,” Nicolai muttered under his breath. “If you continue harassing me like such, then I don’t mind breaking my friendship with your brother.”
Anyway, it wouldn’t be too much of a loss.
Penelope stared at Nicolai in disbelief, her mouth hung open as she gawked at the man.
“Are you serious?” Penelope questioned the man.
“Do you think that I will stand here, in the middle of the night—— all for the sake of joking with you?” Nicolai retorted with a cold look on his face. Penelope was so fucking lucky. She did not have the slightest idea about it.
If she was not Keon’s sister he would have buried her here.
But he was going to exercise whatever restraint he had for the sake of the so-called friendship because his mother would give him another stare down of ——- Nicolai, I expected from you.
Nicolai did not want to waste a beautiful day where he could chase Pallas, by getting himself into trouble.
“Leave, Penelope.”
