Escaped My Ex, Got Snatched by His Rival - Chapter 276
Chapter 276: Fight
Sybil went to push open the curtain, she fished out the silver dress that the mannequin was wearing behind the curtain and brought it over. She murmured, “I think this will suit you much better. You have the figure to pull this off.”
Ariana glanced at the dress and only had one word to describe it. Extravagant. There was no other way to describe the gown which Sybil was holding on to besides that.
The fabric itself was a beauty as it shimmered under the golden light. With transparent gems like diamonds embroidered in the finest yet the most delicate embroidery Ariana had seen in her life, the dress was beyond beautiful.
And Ariana doubted that she was worthy of wearing that dress.
Because she was nowhere as beautiful as that dress.
No, she was ugly and dirty, Ariana feared wearing something so excruciatingly beautiful because she feared letting the creator and the creation down.
Because you are ugly.
Who do you think you are? Nothing, that’s what you are.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
How dare you smile like that after what you have done?
What a let-down.
Only I can bring you happiness.
Ariana closed her eyes as the voices in her head started to get louder and louder.
“This is one of my finest creations, I made it for one of my clients, but then the woman got caught up in a serious situation and never made it alive, she was supposed to take it with her three weeks ago but alas,” said Sybil as she handed the gown to Ariana for her to try.
“No one tried it ever again because they feared that they would share the same bad fortune as her, but I have a feeling it has something to do with their bodies not complimenting this dress.”
“It’s too beautiful,” Ariana praised the dress. She held it tentatively as if worried that her fingertips might leave stains even though they were clean. “I——I don’t think I am worthy of wearing something so beautiful.”
“It’s just a dress, Pallas,” Nicolai paid close attention to Ariana’s expression which was torn and twisted with a hint of pity in her eyes.
Who was she pitying? That dress? For what reason?
“I assure you that you are more than worthy of wearing it,” Nicolai continued and that was when he noticed it. “In fact, it’s the fortune of that dress that it can touch your skin, princess.”
That deer caught in the headlight expression, along with the clenching of her fingers and flickering eyes.
She did not believe it. His Pallas did not believe that she was worthy of wearing such a low-quality dress!?
Who the fuck made her feel so low about herself? Come out now, he just wanted to fucking chat.
It was just that the chat would be between his fists and the face of that fucker.
Nicolai could feel his rage unleashing, however, he caught it before he scared Ariana off with his violent tendencies.
“Go and try it, Pallas,” Nicolai breathed in and out, remembering the calming technique that his mother taught him.
He needed to restrain himself as Pallas was this golden goody to shoes who hid in the smallest possible trouble. She was hiding demons that no one knew about, and Nicolai was eager to feast on them.
How dare they take more of her attention than he could?
Ariana looked at him as if she were still hesitating before nodding as she disappeared behind the door of the changing room.
Once Ariana was done wearing the dress, she stepped out of the dressing room and questioned, “How do I look?”
Like an ethereal seductress who was sent to torment him and even if he were to die inside of her core, Nicolai would thank her for letting him have the opportunity to touch her.

No cross that.
He needed more than one —— maybe two—— or four chances before he would be willing to die with a smile on his lips.
Because ain’t no way he would be satisfied with just one shot.
For Ariana looked fucking breathtaking.
She looked beautiful, she looked fantastic —— she looked fucking his.
With the hourglass-shaped dress hugging her curves in all the right places, Nicolai could see everything but at the same time, he could see nothing.
That dress was a freaking tease like his Pallas.
A V-shaped slit sat right between Ariana’s bosom before the dress was tied around her neck. There was a large feathery cloak which covered her back as well as her sides.
As Ariana stepped under the light, the gems sparkled like mini rainbows.
She looked so unreal that Nicolai could not even breathe. With his mouth hanging open, he continued to stare at Ariana.
Sybil glanced at her cousin and arched a brow before saying, “Nico, you will gobble a fly or two at this rate.” She pushed Nicolai’s mouth up in an attempt to close it.
“Fuck, Pallas. You look so beautiful!” Nicolai exclaimed and Ariana blinked her eyes. She turned to look in a mirror on the right and gasped.
Earlier when she was staring at the mirror, the reflection in the mirror was not the one that she was seeing at the moment.
The woman in the mirror was not her. She couldn’t be her because how could she —— look so beautiful?
“He is right, you are indeed beautiful, Miss,” Sybil said to Ariana who shook her head and said, “It’s only because the dress is too beautiful. It made me look gorgeous.”
“Believe me it’s not the dress but you,” Sybil corrected her with a smile. “How many people do you think have tried this dress? If I am honest, the number is too large for me to keep track of but believe me when I say that only you could pull it off.”
Sybil walked over and carefully assessed the dress before a frown settled on her face. “It doesn’t seem like this dress needs any sort of adjustment. It fits you perfectly.” Which was weird, as she had never seen Ariana before nor had she taken her measurements.
It was as if the dress were made and customized for Ariana.
