Chapter 324: Carrying the blame
“We don’t know…but —— we do have the messages that the woman sent us,” spoke the man as blood trickled down his temple and down in his mouth, making him gurgle.
He wanted to spit the blood that had gotten inside his mouth but couldn’t as it hurt too much.
“Edward,” Noah turned to look at the man beside him who nodded and then walked over to the bleeding man.
He then crouched down and started searching the pockets of the man before finding what he was looking for.
Edward straightened up and brought the phone of the hoodlum to Noah, who gingerly picked it up as he did not like touching the belongings of others.
With a few taps, Noah unlocked the phone and went straight to the app where the text messages were saved.
His fingers glided on the screen before coming to a stop at a familiar number. Noah narrowed his eyes and read the messages one by one——
[Make sure that bitch is dealt with properly. I want her face to be ruined completely.]
[Never mind, I have changed my mind. Now I want you to drug that woman. Use a potent drug, one which will make her go crazy.]
[I want videos and photos after you are done with her. I will transfer the remaining money then.]
[That woman went outside, you need to find her quickly. Don’t let her ruin the plan!]
This message was sent just a few hours ago.
Noah, who was done, reading the messages, closed his eyes and inhaled deeply before exhaling.
However, the anger inside of him did not calm down if anything it surged even more intensely.
When he thought about what would have happened to Ariana if Nicolai had not found her, his heartbeat quickened and skipped several beats.
His chest rose and fell.
“Mister——”
“Bang!”
The head of the golf club smashed against the jaw of the man who had made the mistake of speaking. Edward winced when he heard the sound of bone cracking as he knew that this time around, the man was done for.
“Clean everything up and don’t let anyone take notice of these bastards,” Noah said to Edward as he gazed at the seven and eight men on the floor.
His eyes held an intense murderous look.
“Yes, Master Noah,” Edward obliged. In fact, even if Noah had not asked him to deal with these bastards, he would have done so in his own way.
‘How dare they even think of making a move on Miss Harlow?!’ Edward thought angrily while clenching his fingers until the joints of his fingers started to pop.
“No! This was not what you promised!” One of the hoodlums spoke up when he sensed something amiss.
Noah had promised to let them go unharmed if they told the truth to him.
Noah paused in his stride as he turned to look at the hoodlums lying on the ground of the storehouse. He curled his lips in an elegant smile before saying, “Well, I changed my mind. Aren’t you used to catering to the changing minds of the wealthy?”
His words caused the hoodlums to start screaming in panic but the storehouse of the Nelson mansion was rather far from the main mansion.
No one was going to hear their shrill screams and even if they did, the guests were too drunk to even take notice of them. After all, the rich often turned a blind eye to the suffering of the poor.
While Noah strode out of the storehouse, the birthday party of Mister Adrian also came to an end.
Mister Adrian wanted to cut his birthday cake with Ariana but surprisingly, he did not find her which led to him turning sullen and upset.

‘Where did she go? I even told her that she has to cut the cake with me,’ Mister Adrien thought with a slight furrow on his face.
More than being upset over not being able to cut the cake with Ariana, Mister Adrien was worried a mishap happened with Ariana.
Because his little bubble was not the kind of woman who would break her promise.
“Dad, it’s alright,” Mrs Mia said to her father-in-law with a flattering smile. “Miss Harlow might have gotten an emergency call. She is after all training to become a doctor.”
Mister Adrien hummed softly however he continued to look around the ballroom. He was trying to find Ariel.
His gaze then fell on Glynn, who was wringing her hands while looking at the door of the mansion.
“Why are you acting so jumpy? Is everything all right?” Mister Adrien asked Glynn who flinched and turned to look at him in surprise.
“J—Jumpy? When did I?” Glynn pretended to be calm and smiled. “I am just a bit tired, grandfather. Walking in heels all evening has made my feet ache.”
Though she said that, her eyes fell on the door of the mansion again. In the middle of the party, Glynn realized that her phone was missing.
It terrified her, as she wanted to call the hoodlums and make them stop.
Now that she knew that Ariana wasn’t the one who lied, but it was Ariel who had been playing all of them like fools—— Glynn did not want to harm Ariana anymore.
However, with her phone gone, she could no longer contact the hoodlums and as Ariana was missing, Glynn was worried that something might have happened to her.
‘Shall I go out and check?’ Glynn thought nervously, but was there a point in doing so? What would she do if the hoodlums had already done what she asked them to do?
Just as her worries were reaching their peak, someone entered the mansion.
“Noah?” Mrs Mia also noticed her son who had returned from goodness knew where. She furrowed her brows and questioned angrily, “Where were you? Your grandfather has to cut his birthday cake without you. As his grandson you should have been——”
She did not even get to finish her lecture when Noah walked past her.
“Noah——”
