Chapter 334: Do you want revenge?
“Are you really saying this to me?” With a whoosh, the air in Ariel’s lungs was knocked out. “Noah, I have loved you. Even if I lied about saving you, my feelings for you have never changed, I still love you so much that you cannot even comprehend—”
“Is that why you ran away from the wedding?” Noah asked, interrupting Ariel’s sermons of love. There was a light tremor in the sky as the clouds crashed against one another. And Ariel felt that tremor in her very bones.
Her face went slack as she questioned, “What do you mean? What are you saying, Noah? I never ran away, it was Ariana who—”
“Shut up! Shut the hell up, Ariel,” Noah raised his finger and placed it against his lips as he silenced Ariel who was still hanging onto whatever lies she could speak in front of him.
The words that Ariel wanted to speak or say to him ended abruptly as Noah looked at her with a terrifyingly cold gaze.
“Do you think that you were intelligent huh?”
“Do you think that just because someone helped you in faking an identity, passport, and a ticket to the airlines that fly illegally through channels that are not registered—I will not find you, huh?” Noah asked with a mocking sneer.
His lips were curled in a smile, but his eyes were cold. He raised his finger and jabbed it against Ariel’s shoulder blade, “The reason you could fool me was not because you were too smart. It was because I was too foolish.”
“You were able to make an idiot out of me because I let you,” Noah didn’t raise his voice instead he dropped it, but it was a sign Ariel knew all too well. Whenever Noah was raging furious, he would not scream or yell, he would not make a show of his emotions.
Instead, he would reign control over them and the more in control he was, the more terrifying his rage was.
“I believed you, Ariel. I believed in every single thing that you told me,” Noah laughed. But he was not laughing at her but rather himself. “Do you know how fucking shocked I was when Brandon came to me and showed me the video of you headed to the abandoned airport on your own?”
“Did you think that no one would notice anything if someone helped you delete the surveillance history? Gosh, Ariel. Be fucking real, as long as you do something wrong, you can, and you will be traced back.”
“You said that Ariana blackmailed you, that she chased you out of the country by making use of your kindness and sisterly love. That she threatened to harm your parents,” Noah took out the stack of photos which he was carrying with him and threw them at Ariel’s face. “Is this what you meant by being chased out?”
“Will you still say that she threatened you with your parents’ life?”
In the stack of photos that Noah threw at Ariel’s face, she was accompanying different men. There was a charming smile on her face as she kissed and hugged them. Not in one single photograph, she looked as if she was coerced.
“Noah—”
“I did not touch Ariana for three years! Three. And not once did she go seeking another man in those three years,” Noah interrupted Ariel from speaking any further. “She honoured our promises and vows, no matter how empty mine were, and you— Ariel?”
His eyes were filled with disbelief and self-mockery.
“You stomped on my sincere heart,” he whispered as Noah closed his eyes as well as his heart for the woman in front of him. “I have no idea what I was to you, but for me, you — meant something.” He opened his eyes and looked at Ariel.
“This was why I trusted you. I trusted you more than Ariana, who had given everything up for me! Because of you, now I have lost someone who would have loved me without asking anything in return!”
“You have cost me my happiness, Ariel!” Noah raised his voice sounding like a chained beast that was hurt and had no idea how to express the pain and grief it was feeling. “And now I have nothing left to lose, so I beg you!”
“I beg you to leave me the fuck alone!”
He pulled his lips in a snarky smile and said to Ariel, “You ran away from me back then because I was on the verge of bankruptcy right? Then you better tuck your sorry tail and run away again. Because this time around, it will be you who will be ruined if you don’t keep your distance from me.”
His eyes snapped up at Ariel’s rosy hair which matched Ariana and he sniggered. With a cold voice, he said to Ariel, “No matter how much you try to copy her,” his fingers tugged at her pinkish locks. “You will never become her, Ariel.”
“I will suggest you stop trying.”
With that, he walked past Ariel, his shoulders bumping against Ariel’s.
The sound of the engine roaring to life and the car driving away from the parking lot echoed in Ariel’s ears, they remained stoic for two seconds before her lips curled up in a smile and tears filled her eyes.
“Even you— even you are comparing me with that bitch.” Ariel screamed as tears trickled down her cheeks. She threw the stack of photos that Noah had thrust in her hands.
The thick stack of pictures fluttered to the floor of the parking lot and Ariel too knelt on the ground.
How did he find out the truth? Ariel wondered. How could he figure out the truth so soon?

“That’s not relevant though,” she mumbled. Ariel raised her hand and wiped her tears as she realized that this was not the time for her to break down.
Since Noah was so hung up on Ariana, then she might as well make that woman disappear.
If Ariana were to die, wouldn’t Noah come to her? Even if she was used as a substitute, who cared as long as she could get what she wanted?
With trembling hands, she took out her phone from her purse and then dialled a number.
It rang five times before the call was picked up.
No sooner the call was answered, Ariel curled her lips and questioned, “Do you want revenge?”
