Chapter 384: To her rescue
Ari pushed the man away and turned on her feet to escape from him. But she didn’t get too far as Samuel caught up to her and then pushed her on the ground.
His fingers found her neck as he shoved Ari’s face on the ground. His fingers squeezed her neck harshly until Ari found it impossible to breathe.
“You truly have some nerve. To think you will pull a stunt like this again, even when you know that it will only make things difficult for you,” Samuel whispered in her ears.
“Let go—AHHH!!” Ari screamed in pain when Samuel pressed the knee of his leg on her back while twisting her arm painfully. The more she struggled, the more he twisted her arm.
Ari stopped struggling as she feared that this man would break her arm. She bit her lips, pain etched on every inch of her face.
With her arm twisted behind at an inhuman angle, her eyes started to glisten with tears. Even the smallest movement resulted in more twisting.
“You dumb bitch. All you needed was to spread your legs for me, if you had made me happy, then I would have at least let you leave this place with your limbs intact,” hissed Samuel as he turned her hand painfully to the right causing Ari to scream even harder. “Now, I will teach you a good lesson. I will break your limbs one by one until you can’t even lift a finger.”
Samuel wanted to take his time with Ari, as he had been waiting for years to take his revenge. He would make her rue the day she dared to attack him.
He pulled her back, and Ari kicked her legs. Her palms scraped on the uneven ground. She tried to look for something that she could use to defend herself. Her gaze fell on a sharp jagged stone on the ground.
She reached forward and picked it up. A part of her was telling her to not taint her hands with his blood again but another part— the one that was hiding in the deepest darkest corner of her heart was roaring at her to stab the man.
To let him bleed and suffer in the burn of her stab.
Samuel licked his lips, wondering how this woman would taste. Certainly, sweet as he had been waiting for this vengeance for more than ten years. He unbuckled his belt which was tied around his pants, then with his free hand, he reached towards the zip that was at the back of Ari’s dress.
But before he could pull the zipper down, a gunshot rang out in the clearing.
“AHHHH!!!” Samuel screamed as he looked at his hand which had turned bloody. A bullet was embedded in the back of his palm which was causing searing pain in his entire arm.
Clutching his wrist, he turned around and glared at the person who had shot him.
However, as he turned around his anger turned into shock which was replaced by terror when his eyes fell on Nicolai de Luca striding towards him like a bull.
Ari dropped the stone in her hand, and a wave of relief washed over her as she looked at Nicolai whose eyes were bloodshot with heavy eye bags under them.
When Nicolai came to a stop in front of Ari, his gaze fell on Ari whose clothes were covered with blotches of blood. Her hands and feet were covered in scars and her eyes were filled with unshed tears. She looked vulnerable.
Samuel glanced at Nicolai and then at Ariana before he began speaking, “Mister de Luca, why—why are you here?” He tried to hold back his scream of pain while still holding his bleeding wrist.
Though he would have loved to lose his temper, he dared not to do so in front of Nicolai.
Nicolai’s red eyes didn’t leave Ari and Samuel turned annoyed. He stepped in front of Ari and said to Nicolai, “Mister de Luca, what are you—”
The rest of his words were left unsaid as Nicolai raised his fist and smashed it right into Samuel’s face.
“I am here because a blind motherfucker thought that it was quite fitting to steal what’s mine.”
Samuel sputtered, he raised his head and spat a mouthful of blood on the ground.
“She is yours?”
“What else?” Nicolai asked with a sneer as he marched over to where Samuel was standing. He raised his foot and kicked him right in his crotch. “Do you think I am talking about you?”
The foolish man who hadn’t expected such a thing to happen, covered his lower half with his hands.
“Ahhh!!” A shrill scream escaped from his lips as Samuel stumbled. Seeing him fall like this, Nicolai sneered and reached forward before knotting his fingers in Samuel’s hair. “You have made a grave mistake. I don’t know who was foolish enough to feed you lies that you will be fine after touching this woman, but I hope you are prepared.”
“I h—had no idea, it was her sister! Her sister told me that it was fine,” Samuel gasped in pain. Nicolai had pulled his head at an odd angle which made his neck ache.
A chuckle escaped from Nicolai’s lips, he said to the man, “Don’t worry. I will look for her after this, but before that, we need to dig one nice grave for you.”

Samuel’s eyes widened as his legs started to tremble. He said stubbornly, “You cannot hurt me, Mister de Luca. My dad will not leave you alone if you do—”
“Shut up,” Nicolai sneered as he raised his hand and banged Samuel’s face on the trunk of the tree. “I don’t want to hear it.”
“AHHHH,” Samuel screamed in pain as the skin off his face broke and blood started to continuously fall on the ground.
“Take him to the club,” said Nicolai as he threw Samuel to Kayden who had followed him inside the forest.
Kayden caught the man who was bleeding from more than one place before turning to say something to Nicolai.
“Nico,” he began, but Nicolai was not listening, he came to a stop in front of Ari.
