Chapter 468: Wrong Flavour
The smile on Mrs. Mia’s lips slipped down, but she hitched it right back before turning to look at Zena. She said to her, “That’s just how my son is—a true gentleman. No matter who it is, he always treats them with kindness and respect.”
Zena smiled at Mrs. Mia while glancing at Noah, who was drinking his coffee, with a knowing glance. She nodded along with Mrs. Of course, we have to join our hands together for everything.” Nelson before saying to the elderly woman, “Marriage is the union of two souls and families. So of course, we have to join our hands together for everything.”
Her words tickled Mrs. Mia even further. She clapped her hands and chuckled, “You are really sweet.” She turned to look at her son before saying to him, “Isn’t she?”
Noah paused in his actions; he glanced at Zena before standing up from the couch. “I need to head over to the company, Mother. There are some issues that I needed to deal with.”
“Ah?” Mrs. Mia had not expected such a response. However, after a quick pause, her eyes lit up like Christmas trees as she turned to look at Zena. She said to her, “Why don’t you go and see him off? Sooner or later, you will have to do it anyway.”
Zena raised her head while staring at Mrs. Mia innocently. And when she saw that the woman was not joking, Zena cursed inwardly before nodding at Mrs. Mia with a sweet smile on her lips. Despite being forced to do something that she did not want to, Zena was smiling as if she were doing it with all her heart.
She rose to her feet before walking after Noah, who was heading out of the living hall.
“Can you slow down a little?” Zena asked him scathingly. The man was walking as if he were being chased by his worst nightmare, which might indeed be the case, but there was no need for him to run away like this.
Noah paused and turned to look at her.
Zena, who was chasing him, didn’t sense him stopping, which was why she ended up stumbling right into his back.
“Ouch!” she exclaimed with her hands pressed on her nose. Zena raised her head and glared at Noah before saying in a snappish voice, “Why did you stop all of a sudden?”
“Did you not ask me to slow down?” Noah said to her as if she were being unreasonable.
Zena glared at him harshly. She couldn’t understand the man, and it didn’t help that most of the time he wore sunglasses on his eyes, which obscured the remaining emotions in his eyes until she couldn’t understand him anymore.
“I asked you to slow down, not to stop.” She touched her nose slightly and winced when she felt that the skin on her nose was subtly bruised due to the impact.
Noah pulled off his sunglasses so that he could stare down at her with those gloomy, cold eyes of his. He commented, “And I did something better than you wanted; why the complaints? Do I need to learn how to tap dance to satisfy you and your mother now?”

“Is it not good enough that I am giving up my freedom to give your dear lover what he wants?”
Zena bit her lower lip as she glared at the man. She could feel her cheeks turning red, and she could feel the urge to kick him in the nuts intensify in her heart.
She contemplated whether to do it or not as no one was looking when
“Don’t even think about pushing me.” There was a rare glint of anger in his eyes as he stared at her. “I am already high on whatever shit that you have fed me by entangling my name with yours. Even the slightest provocation now will result in drastic reactions, which you will not like.”
“I thought you were a chivalrous man,” stated Zena.
“I am,” Noah placed his sunglasses back on his nose before remarking, “But chivalry and you do not exist in the same plane for me. If you attack me with all the shit that you have pulled, I will make rue the day you came up with this god awful idea.”
“Stop blaming will you.” Zena’s nostrils flared as she said to him, “I am not Ariana; I will not let you use me like a rug mat—ah!” She gasped when Noah curled his fingers around her neck and pulled her close.
“Don’t ever insult. Her, got it?” Noah breathed heavily while holding Zena by her throat. “She is twice the woman you can ever be; she has the guts to say her feelings out loud and hold by them instead of acting like a coward and doing stupid shitty things to prove her love for the man she adores.”
He released her throat, and Zena sucked in a couple of breaths before saying, “You need help, you sick psycho son of a bitch. Why don’t you go and fuck yourself?” She snapped, wanting to get the feelings that she had been suppressing off her chest.
Noah snickered before saying, “I thought that you like psycho bastards? Whats wrong? Wrong flavour?” he asked sweetly.
Zena wished she could hit him or maybe hurt him in the royalest sense. Nicolai indeed had antisocial tendencies, but he was so freaking loud that Zena knew when and what he was going to do compared to him. Noah was a silent menace, and it made her wonder why Ariana even fell in love with this man.
How could anyone love this man?
A slow smirk settled on his lips as he said to her, “I am glad that we have this little thing cleared up.”
Zena stared at him before saying, “If I am a coward, then what are you? I don’t think that you are any better.”
A twitch appeared at the corner of Noah’s eyes before he crossed his arms and said to her as he whipped the card he was carrying in his breast pocket, “Buy a twenty-carat ring for yourself. I don’t want anyone saying that I don’t ‘love’ you enough.”
As he finished speaking, he hurled the card at Zena before turning on his feet and walking away. Zena watched him walk away before kicking his card with her foot.
“Asshole.”
