Chapter 507: Warped Personality’s wrath
‘Why?’ Penny asked with a frown. ‘I want to play with you.’
The little girl had been planning all evening and morning before she decided what kind of game she wanted to play with her friend, but now Asher was telling her that he didn’t want to play with her?
It not only angered her but also made her upset.
Why would he refuse to play with her and yet play with the daughter of a maid?
‘I just don’t want to,’ Asher turned and looked at Penny with a frown on his face. ‘Is there a law that states that I have to play with you every day? I have a new friend and I want to play with her today.’
As he spoke, he turned and smiled at the young girl, who smiled back tentatively.
Seeing the two smile at one another, Penny was annoyed.
Asher was her friend! Why would he play with anyone else but her?
Penny didn’t want to give up. She stepped forward and then grasped hold of Asher’s wrist. She tried to pull him from the ground and said to him, ‘But I want to play with you. Why don’t you come and play with me? There is this game that I wanted to play with you.’
However, as soon as she finished speaking, Asher swung her arm away from his and stood up. He glared at Penny and said to her angrily, ‘I told you that I did not want to play with you. I am playing with my new friend today.’
After speaking, he turned to look at the little girl who was sitting next to him and pulled her up from the ground. The two of them walked away, leaving Penny alone on the ground.
Penny looked at Asher, who walked away without even helping her up from the ground. Her expression turned mutinous, and her fists clenched tightly. The mud in her hands squeezed, oozed from the gaps between her fingers.
Billy watched the sight in front of him and curled his lips with a smirk on his face. He turned around and looked at the car that was parked on the side.
When the masked man saw Billy look over at him, he nodded at him.
Seeing the man nod, the boy clenched his fingers. He turned to look at Penny and walked over to where she was sitting. He came to a stop beside her and then said to Penny, ‘It seems like Asher has forgotten you, Penny. I told him to play with you instead of getting close to that maid’s daughter but my brother just doesn’t listen to anything.’
He paused and added, ‘Seems like he likes her more than you.’
Penny’s face scrunched up as she stood up. She glared at Billy before saying to him, ‘There is no way! Ash will not like her more than me.’
However, at the same time, Penny was worried. The girl was indeed prettier than her, and she even looked cute. Ash seemed to like her as well.
Would he really start playing with that girl and forget her?
Billy looked at her worried face and gritted his teeth. But when Penny looked up and stared at him, he smiled at her smoothly.
‘What’s wrong, Penny?’ he asked.
‘Billy, what if Ash starts playing with her?’ Penny asked with a frown on her face. ‘What if he stops playing with me?’
‘Hmm, that is indeed a problem,’ Billy said with a fake concerned look on his face. After a pause, he muttered in a low voice loud enough for Penny to hear, ‘Only if that girl did not exist… maybe…’
As if realising that something was wrong, Billy paused and looked at Penny with a startled look on his face. He said to her, ‘Don’t listen to me, Penny. You are a nice girl; it will be really troublesome if you get into trouble.’
Though Bill indeed warned her, the thought seemed to have stuck in Penny’s head. She looked in the direction in which Asher was laughing and playing with that girl and gritted her teeth.
Emil, who was watching the sight unfold in front of him, was filled with worry.
‘There is no way she will harm them, right?’ Though he thought that Penny was not going to hurt Asher, he was still worried. He turned on his feet and ran back to his house; he had to tell his brothers.
The two of them were good friends with Asher, maybe they would be able to tell him to hide his pets and things that he held dear.
However, what Emil didn’t expect was that three days later, he wouldn’t hear the news of Asher’s pet dying but instead the death of Asher himself!
“Did she kill him?” Ariana asked with a worried voice. She had a feeling that the truth was what she had guessed.

“No one knows,” Emil sighed heavily. “Back then, Penny, Asher, and that little girl went to play together. I don’t know how she convinced him to bring her along, but then again, she was always a manipulative little shit.”
“We don’t know what she did—or what happened; all we know is that by the time we arrived there, Asher’s body had long turned cold.”
“The girl, didn’t she say anything?” Ariana asked in a soft voice.
“She? Of course she tried to tell the adults that she had done nothing to Asher, but Penny is not one to be caught, you know?” Emil laughed derisively. “That boy died while saving the girl from a car, and even if the girl was to say that she was pushed by someone, there was no one to prove her words.”
“Both Billy and Penny said that the girl went to the busy street on her own, which resulted in Asher trying to save her.”
“It was the word of two against one and the onlookers also saw that Asher died saving her, so why would anyone doubt Penny?”
