Nicolai pinched himself, and he didn’t do it once but more than twice. He read the message that she sent once and then twice before he was sure that the words were imprinted on his fucking mind. Nicolai swore heavily as his jaw dropped to the floor. He couldn’t believe that this was really happening, and it was not one of his freaking delusions.

Did she really say this? He rubbed his eyes, and sure enough, the text remained the same. Fuck, she really admitted it.

Though it was just through text, she actually said that she couldn’t stay away from him? Fuck he couldn’t believe it.

[Does that mean you are miserable without me? Are you dying while missing me?]

Nicolai pushed himself against the wall; he was all prepared to hear another excuse from her, where she would tell him how she did not have the time or the means to come and see him. Or that she was saving lives by acting as a hero.

So imagine his surprise when she agreed.

What was this? Did the sun rise from fucking west? Because all his dreams seemed to be coming true.

Ariana whipped her head and looked right at him; at first she looked adorably confused as she stared at him as if questioning what he was doing there, but when he waved his hand at her, she stiffened and tapped on the screen.

[Testing you. Come over, let’s see how much you miss me.]

[Go outside.]

[ Walk over to me or else I will come to you, and if I did it, then I will fucking break that hand of the man who touched you. And it will not be a pretty sight.]

She turned to the nurse and talked to her; he didn’t know what she said to her but the nurse looked at him and nodded. Ariana then took off the coat that was draped over her shoulders. She then turned in his direction and walked over.

He expected her to lower her head and pretend as if she didn’t know him but surprisingly she had her head raised in the air and was walking towards him with a frown on her face.

What a freaking surprise.

He continued to track her movements as she came to stop in front of him.

And it wasn’t until her coconut and creamy scent wafted over to him that he realised the full impact of how much he had missed her.

From her punk dresses with frills, her blue eyes that were as explosive as a volcano, to her frowns and sighs. He had missed every single thing.

Though the more he looked at her, the more he wished to have his fingers knotted in her hair and had it dishevelled.

He knew that Ariana was a sucker for perfection, but a screw had to be loose somewhere because who gelled even the smallest baby hair on their forehead?

“Lets go,” After he placed his phone in his pockets, he said to her, “I have my car parked right outside.”

She looked at him before nodding in agreement.

Once the two of them stepped out of the hospital, she glanced at him and asked, “What are you doing Nicolai? Don’t tell me that you are stalking me.”

“Do I need to? You are forgetting that this entire hospital belongs to the De Luca family.”

“Could you have not told me that you wanted to see me directly without going through all this song and dance?”

“And you would have come to see me?” He rolled his eyes as he pulled the door of the driver’s side open and slid inside.

Ariana watched him for a second before shaking her head and sliding inside the car as well.

Once she had her seat belt on, Nicolai gunned the engine and pulled out of the parking lot. He didn’t tell, but he missed having her scent in his car.

He usually didn’t like anyone sitting in his car. He loved his cars like one would love their child; thus, no one was allowed to take up space within his car. But for some reason, he quite liked it when it was Ariana.

However, this was not the time to show how whipped he was for her. Oh no, he seemed to have gotten the hang of the push and pull game that Ariana had played with him, and now it was his turn to topple the queen and claim victory.

It was time for him to start playing this game his way.

He drove until they reached the penthouse building. Nicolai was planning to push her buttons and get her to take hold of his hand when the floodgates opened and the two of them had to run inside the building.

Sometimes he just knew that the big brother up there wanted to mess with him.

As he came to a stop in front of the elevator and turned on his feet, his movement came to a sudden halt when the sight of Ariana soaked to her boots with her dress clinging to her curves slammed right into his eyes.

And he felt Nico The Great twitch to life as he looked at the erotic sight.
