Chapter 560: Protective Brother
[Alright, then I will pick something simple.]
Nicolai grinned as he knew that by simple, she meant three dishes at least. He got off his bike and then followed Ariana like a stalker. She couldn’t possibly expect him to go on with his day when she was being so freaking cute. And to top it all, he was not getting what one would call Ariana—withdrawal.
His mood was now proportionally dependent on her, like he would smile.
and frowned when she did it. And it was not even funny anymore, but Nicolai was done using his brains. He didn’t even like using it much to begin with. So since he liked her with him all smiling and bubbly, he was going to keep the status quo.
He knew one thing and that was he was obsessed with this woman and everything that was related to her. Alright, alright, he knew that there was a very good chance that it was more than obsession but that was not up for discussion.
If it was about how cute Ariana was, then he might change his mood.
Nicolai heaved a sigh as he ran his fingers through his hair. Ariana freaking Ashford was swallowing him whole like a freaking beast of a snake. Even the smallest thing she did brought the greatest joy to him, even if she was to just sit and watch a murder mystery with a frown on her face as she quibbled about how the scene didn’t make sense or how the acting and actions were just dumb—
He could listen to her all day long.
Ariana Ashford could ravage him alive and he would thank her for that.
But since that was not up for the moment, he satisfied himself by following Ariana. He watched her take a look at the eggs that were on sale and talk to the shopkeeper. She had a polite smile all throughout the conversation and Nicolai had a very hard time suppressing his jealousy when he thought of how Ariana was talking with another man.
Even if he was fifty years old, he needed to get in the freaking line because even he hadn’t even greeted Ariana yet.
Ariana didn’t seem to notice it as she bought a carton of the organic eggs before moving to the spring onions. He was about to head over and deal with that woman when he turned around and shifted his view just a little to see a really peculiar view. His sister was standing on the pavement with red eyes and glaring at a car that was driving away.
As the car turned left, Nicolai missed the number plate behind it, but he had enough ways to get that fucker’s name and number as well as his favourite way to die.
“Zen,” he walked over looking mutinous.
Zena raised her head and looked at him with a startled look on her face and called him in a quivering manner, “Nico?”
“What’s going on?” Nicolai asked with a frown as he looked at the street where the car disappeared. “Who the fuck was it? Who made you cry like this?”
“I am not crying—”
“Don’t you dare lie to me!” Nicolai glared at his sister and said to her, “Who was that man? You better tell me so I can add him to the MIA list along with the other fuckers.”
“Nico, I am fine,” Zena grabbed him by his arm and smiled at him. “Really. Don’t think too much. This was just a lover’s quarrel.”
“It doesn’t look like it,” Nicolai remarked with his eyes narrowed suspiciously.
“Well, that’s the case,” Zena was not exactly lying either. Noah and she had a slight disagreement. When she thanked him just now, he shot her down and put her in place by telling her that he was only doing this to correct the wrongs that he had committed in the past.
Though he spoke the truth, it didn’t make it any kinder, and she quibbled with him a little, which led to another spat.
Nicolai looked at his sister. He didn’t know what was going on with her but he could see his past in Zena’s eyes. She was just as ripped and torn as him but something in her heart was resisting and telling her that they were not going to have it any other way.
“Fine.” Nicolai didn’t say anything more; after all, this was Zena’s decision and her life. There was little to nothing that he could do. She was a grown woman; she would survive these troubles.
Anyway, as long as she asked for his help, he would definitely take the matter into his own hands.
“Thank you…Nico,” Zena smiled at him and Nicolai rolled his eyes as he ruffled her hair and said to her, “There is nothing for you to thank me for.”
She nodded before getting in her car and driving away; Nicolai looked up at the shop where she was standing and frowned. Bridal shop? However, he shook off his suspicions as he knew that if something this grand happened, then his mother or Zena would have told him first.
He turned and looked at Ariana, who had stepped out of the shop carrying a few bags. He was about to follow when she raised her head and glared at him as if she had long known that he was following her.
However, even though she was glaring at him, she didn’t forget to check him out. Though she might lie that she didn’t like his dressing style, he knew the truth: she adored it. Truly.
If not, then she would not have eyed him when he was getting dressed the last time. And once he finished dressing, she gave him an appreciative glance, so what did he do? Of course he took it all off and bent her over before filling his entire space with her moans.

He loved it when she called his name.
Ariana walked over to him before pinching him on the cheek, “You need to quit acting like a stalker or one day someone will call the police on you.”
