“Nicolai?”
“Shut the fuck up.” Nicolai stepped forward until he was breathing the same air as Ariana and stated in a grim voice, “Noah might be a fucking saint in your eyes but he is not in mine. What the fuck do you mean by that its not that big of a deal?”
“Have you forgotten what he did to you!? How can you even take his side?”
Ariana frowned upon hearing his accusatory tone. She pursed her lips and stated in a calm voice, “I didn’t mean to say that Noah is a good man nor did I mean to take his side. I just wanted to say that your sister is a grown-up adult. I believe that she knows what she is doing.”
Nicolai curled his lips as he scoffed. “Easy for you to say since you don’t fucking care about her.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Ariana questioned with a frown. She had been polite with him throughout the conversation because she didn’t mean to upset him any further when he was already pissed off enough. And she knew that he didn’t mean half of the things that he was saying but it still didn’t hurt any less.
“You know what I fucking mean,” Nicolai snapped harshly. “Do you think that I don’t know?” That motherfucker must have approached my sister because of some reasons; there is no way he would —”
“Just like you did?” Ariana offered in a sweet voice, causing Nicolai to pause and look at her with a frown on his face.
“What the fuck did you just say?”
“You heard me,” Ariana rolled her eyes and stepped back with her arms crossed. “There is no need for you to step on my head, do you think I am so naive to think that you approached me out of the goodness of your heart, Nicolai?”
“I never hurt you.”
“And neither has Noah,” Ariana snapped. “I know that you have some problems with him but he has not done anything to harm your sister yet. So spare me the lecture about how I do not care about your sister just because I haven’t jumped on Noah’s neck like you.”
“I admit that he had made many mistakes but so have you in one way or another. Did I ever hold it against you? Did I ever look down on you because you kill people like popping bubbles? Did I hold the fact that you tried to get close to me because you wanted something? Have I?” Ariana shook her head and stated, “I have never judged you, Nicolai. Even when I knew that you approached me for a reason.”
She glanced at the man before saying to him, “I think I should take my leave now that I have cleared up the air?”
With that said, she tried to step away from him. But before she could even take three steps past him, Nicolai reached out and held her wrist before pulling her back.
“Nicolai—”
He crashed his lips against hers and she released a startled sound, as Ariana had not expected him to kiss her out of nowhere.
Nicolai swallowed all the noises that Ariana made as he sucked, slurped, and thrust his tongue against her. She tasted like sweet cinnamon rolls and his inevitable damnation.
She moaned his name like she had been missing him just as he had been missing her and Nicolai; despite knowing that she had been visiting Noah these days, he believed her. Like she could even miss him when she was all over her saviour.
As if she wasn’t with someone else, as if she didn’t have the idea of replacing him.
As if she wasn’t hiding him from every single person.
“Nicolai— listen—I told Danny—”
“I am done listening.” He tugged at her bottom lip with his teeth and pulled it harshly. He chased her lips as she tried to pull away from him. Even when she pulled his hair, he felt nothing. Not a single thought other than claiming her was going on in his head.
He knew he was twisted to have this fucked-up possessiveness, but the need to fucking claim this woman and chain her by his side was clawing against him like a beast.
He pushed her down on the carpet, his lips peppering kisses down on her neck as the two of them tumbled on the floor, with his hand behind her head and waist.
Nicolai pulled away as he tugged her legs apart and pushed her skirt up her thighs while working on her shirt as he pulled down her undershirt and freed her bosom.
“Nicolai—what—”
“Stop me.” He told her in a half pleading and half commanding voice. “Tell me that you don’t want me to touch you; ask me to stop. This is the only chance that I am giving you. Tell me that you no longer want me, that I am not the one for you and I will leave you the fuck alone. Ask me to leave; maybe that way you will find the man that you want. One you won’t have to hide because you are fucking embarrassed to say that you like him.”

“I am not embarrassed of you and its you who I want —”
“Don’t lie.” His eyes narrowed as he towered over her body. “Just fucking say that you find my kisses and touch disgusting and end this, Ariana. Since you know that I approached you for a reason, you must have thought of me as a fucking joke. Like I approached you to make you beg me, and look who is begging now.”
“Its me.”
“Its not a lie,” she told him with her eyelashes fluttering against her cheeks. Her hand reached out and cupped his cheek as she told him, “I never once thought that you were embarrassing, Nicolai, and there won’t be a day where I will find your touch disgusting.”
“You will regret this,” he muttered as he tugged her underpants to one side and pulled out his length that had been hard since he laid his eyes on her, since the second her scent furled towards him.
She released an affirmative sound and only then did Nicolai push against the small ring of her opening.
His heart and body, which had been unusually dead throughout the past few weeks, roared to life the second he slithered inside of her core.
“Fuck,” he cursed, his teeth latching on the hardened bead on her bosom as he tugged and sucked on it.
Nicolai knew that he was being harsh on her when he took her right on the floor of his penthouse, and yet she looked at him as if he meant the world to her.
Like she was not hiding him from everyone, like she was not telling him sweet lies. Like she never went to meet with that ex-husband of hers who had washed every wrong that he had committed just because he took the bullets for her.
This woman had some fucking nerve to look at him like this when she had never given him the security and had left Nicolai to wonder what hour and day he would be fucking replaced by her.
Every fucking minute she was with some other man, he wondered if she was going to tell him that he was no longer needed.
His anger roared in his head and he started to thrust harder, reaching as deep as he could within her.
