TW: Dark content ahead. Some readers might find it difficult to read; please do not go ahead and read this chapter if you are not good with dark romance, my lovely readers. Thank you very much.
P.S: Just so you know, the author does not support any content in this or the previous chapter. Its a fantasy romance with a mafia prince, not a green flag—so please try to bear with me.

“Nico—” Ariana moaned when she felt the man thrust against her sweet spot; his piercing scraped her insides and she arched her back on the carpet, allowing the man to curve his hand around her waist and thrust even deeper within her.
So deep that Ariana wondered if it was even possible.
“You need to s—ah—slow down,” she gasped as the man planted kisses on her skin, nipping and biting as he left his mark on her neck and bosom. She truly liked it when he marked her.
“Do I really need to when you are matching my pace as if you cannot get enough of me?” he asked as he pulled out of her and flipped her on her fours before driving right back into her core. His hands cupped her bosom as he flicked her hardened bud. “Look at you taking my length like you want to fucking snap it.”
“Mm-hmm… I missed you, Nico. I really did —”
“Don’t say the words you don’t fucking mean.” He covered her mouth and pulled her back. Nicolai really didn’t wish to hear her pretty little lies; he knew that she didn’t miss him. If she had, then she would have stopped visiting Noah in the hospital. If she missed him, then she would have known what Ariana would be putting on the line by hiding the fact that his sister married Noah.
She would have feared losing him as much as he did every single minute of his life.
But no, not only did she hide the truth from him but Ariana was also there to check up on Noah. Nicolai didn’t care if that man had taken a total of five bullets for Ariana. As far as he was concerned, the world would be a lot better place if Noah Nelson didn’t exist in the fucking first place.
Then the one whom Ariana would have loved the first time would have been him.
Not that Noah Nelson.
Did it occur to him that Ariana was just feeling guilty and grateful for what Noah did for her? It did. Yes, many times. But his fears and insecurities with the blind rage that was coursing in his veins made it impossible for Nicolai to see reason.
To top it all.
His sister married that fucker. She could have married a beggar, and he wouldn’t have said a thing but she just had to marry Noah.
His sister didn’t need to be tied to that man in any way, but she was, and Nicolai needed to worry about her security and safety.
Noah, Noah, Noah—he was really fucking haunted by that fucking name. Nicolai never thought that he could hate anyone this much but then he met Noah Nelson. And surprise, surprise, it looked like he could really hate someone to this degree.
He grunted as he felt Ariana’s insides tightening around his length and kissed the side of her neck as he buried his face into the crook of her neck. He didn’t wish to hear any more of her lies but he did crave her touch.
Nicolai wished Ariana could understand the point that she belonged to him and only him. She could never fucking go back to that man or anyone else, as a matter of fact; he wouldn’t let her.
His blood-red eyes darkened and his hand skimmed down to her abdomen, where he splayed his fingers. No matter what.
He would do anything to keep her by his side.
If she wanted, he was now willing to put the damn ring on her finger; he would rather stand at the end of the aisle in that fucking three-piece tuxedo saying those fucking vows that terrified the shit out of him than let this woman be snatched away from him. He would rather give her his last name than watch someone else take her away.
For the first time in his life, Nicolai realised that there was a terror and fear worse than that of a failed marriage. Because of what happened to his parents, he feared getting trapped in a bond of marriage, as he felt that it was nothing but a fucking cage.
Only now did he realise that there was something worse than that.
It was the fear of losing the woman he loved.
He would rather face his fears and risk it all instead of watching this woman be with someone else.
If Ariana wanted a wedding, he would give it to her. If she wanted a child, then he would give that noisy, crying, whimpering devil’s spawn to her as well. He would give her anything as long as she doesn’t replace him. As long as she cannot replace him, he was willing to do it.
“You are mine, Ariana. Just mine. Fucking mine. If that pretty, little head of yours cannot wrap around this common fact, then you better get this thing embedded in that head of yours. I know you are smart, so you will understand this quickly.”
He curled his fingers around her throat and nipped at the back of her shoulder blades, “The second you agreed to be with me, you sold your fucking soul to the devil, got it? There is no other option for you other than me.”

He turned her head around and kissed her on the lips and she moaned right into his mouth. The sound swallowed by him. “Only me, got it? If you want a man, then I am the only man who you will need and have in your life. If some other motherfucker tried to get close to you and you let him, then I am telling you—I will fucking murder him in his bed even if he was to sleep with one eye open, and I will do you right in that very bed for you to understand what I can do for you.”
As he spoke, his other hand skimmed down her body, curving around every inch of her skin before coming to a stop at the swollen bud of her core. He pinched and flicked it while slamming her bottom against his groin again and again until she was a blubbering mess.
Her words didn’t make any sense other than his name, which she cried like that was the only word she could speak and Nicolai had no problem with that.
Call only his name.
Think only of him.
Just him.
The sound of flesh hitting flesh echoed in the living room as he pounded her hard, rough, and with a madness that scared even him.
He never thought that he had it in him.
She shuddered and moaned out his name just as he released inside of her; he took her lips again, swallowing every moan that Ariana released hungrily before carrying her up in his arms and to his bed.
And as he climbed up the stairs with Ariana hugging him in a koala hug, his eyes flickered down to her legs that were covered in his essence that was dripping down her core.
This—this wasn’t enough.
