When Glynn heard Noah’s accusations, she knew that Mister Smith had blown her cover. Inwardly, she cursed that man for tattling on when she had given him enough money than he could earn in a year.

However, now that the entire thing was out in the open, Glynn could only make excuses to defend herself. Glynn would never accept that she schemed against her brother because she would rather not be related to someone like Ariana.

“I did it for you, brother,” Glynn said haughtily, she covered her cheeks that were slapped with her hands and glared at Noah. “You and Mother seemed to have gone crazy ever since that woman left the house. It’s embarrassing to watch, do you even know what will people say if they find out about your actions?”

She rolled her eyes and then stated coldly, “I want that woman to suffer for causing so much trouble for you and Mother. Once she is cold and starving on the streets, she will know better than to mess with our family, I bet she will come on her knees and beg you to take her back in three days.” A smirk appeared on her face.

Noah was simply speechless by Glynn’s thoughtless actions earlier, but now he was beyond speechless. His sister was simply an idiot, did she think that Ari was so dumb and stupid as her that she could not survive on the street without the surname Nelson behind her?

Sure, her life would not be as comfortable as it was when she was at the Nelson mansion, but it would not degrade to the point that Ari would find it difficult to eat and sleep under a roof.

Unlike his sister, Ari knew how to work.

On the side, Mrs Nelson was shocked, stunned by the words of her daughter. What was going on? Noah and Ariana were divorced?

How come!?

“Noah, what are you talking about? You and Ari are divorced, but you didn’t even sign the agreement! How can you two be divorced?” Mrs Nelson asked worriedly. She wasn’t concerned about what happened to Ari, but her son would be in grave danger as she failed to keep up her side of the agreement.

Noah’s expression turned bitter. He turned to look at his mother and simply remarked, “You should question this to your precious daughter, mother. She is the cause of this chaos.” He glanced at Glynn, who seemed nervous and angry.

However, there was no sign of guilt on her face. He sighed and told his mother, “She tricked me into signing an approval application that she received from her college, I guess she hid the divorce agreement in between the papers.”

Noah had tried to be understanding, he had given his mother and sister whatever they wanted. Ever since he was young, he listened to his mother, regardless of what she said to him. He had also given in to his sister’s whims, but this time around, he really couldn’t be bothered to forgive Glynn again.

It was because of Mrs Nelson’s over-doting that Glynn turned this selfish, she might be trying to play it off as if she did it from him, but Noah knew it better. Glynn did it because she wanted to get rid of the connection that she had with Ariana, and he was just being used by her such that no one blamed her too much.

How long…? How long would they play him like he was just a puppet in their hands?

“Glynn!” Mrs Nelson shouted at her daughter. She loved her daughter more than anything in this world. But this time, her daughter simply crossed all the lines. This was not just her being whimsical, this mistake might cause the death of their entire family!

‘Keep that girl alive and well in your family, Mrs Nelson. If something happens, she goes amiss and out of control. I will blow the f*cking brains out of your son’s and husband’s heads.’

‘Because if she goes missing, then it’s your life on the line.’

The threat of that man still rang clear in Mrs Nelson’s head, if not for that threat she would have never let her son marry that girl from a low background.

She could have never allowed Ari to escape her control, not even for a day. That woman needed to stay in her palm like a doll without having another thought in her head!

Mrs Nelson gritted her teeth before raising her hand and slapping Glynn. She hit her wherever she could because Mrs Nelson could already see the cold nozzle of the gun pressing against the forehead of her husband and son’s heads.

Her family. She had stayed under the control of that man for so many years for the safety of her family.

Now, everything was about to collapse.

“Mom! Why are you hitting me? What did I do wrong!?” Glynn couldn’t believe that her mother was hitting her like this, she had never beaten her like such. Not once in her life.

However, Mrs Nelson did not speak. She couldn’t tell what kind of danger loomed on their heads to her children. That man had saved their family from bankruptcy, and in exchange, he asked her to keep Ari in her family until he returned to take her away.

The money that man took out was not something that they could pay back just because they stood at the top.

Mrs Nelson was now on the verge of fainting when she thought about how she didn’t have the money nor the woman to pay that man back.

“Noah!” Ignoring the expression of shock and hurt on Glynn’s face, Mrs Nelson turned to look at her son and said to him, “You have to bring her back, you need to bring Ariana back!” She walked over to where her son stood and caught both of his arms. If that woman did not come back, all of them were going to die.

But she couldn’t tell this to her son, so she said, “If father finds out that you divorced Ari, then he will transfer all his assets to the charity.”
