Chapter 2523: The Weapon God
Alex pulled the pill out of the cauldron and looked it over once.
Once again, there were two halves to the pill, separated by a sinuous line at the center. However, this time around, the color was different. The red and blue were a lot more saturated.
It was another Discordant Duality pill, just like the one he had made before. He wasn’t very excited about making this pill, but he was glad that he managed to make it. Without it, reaching the finals would have been terribly difficult after all—maybe even impossible.
He could not imagine himself getting another idea during this time.
Alex handed the exploding pill over to the Divinity, who once again could not verify whether the pill was valid or not. However, since he had been through this once already, he knew what he needed to do in this situation.
He immediately asked for the Alchemy God’s assistance, and the man flew down to the stage almost immediately.
“It’s another one of those pills, Your Majesty,” the Divinity said as he handed over the pill and recipe.
The Alchemy God held a look of surprise on his face as he took the pill and the recipe. He looked the recipe over with the same look but smiled by the end.
“Interesting strategy,” he said. “It seems you were inspired by your previous pill in making this one.”
“I was, Your Majesty,” Alex quickly said.
The Alchemy God nodded. He threw the pill in his hand a couple of times and then suddenly tossed it into the sky before them. The pill went flying dozens of kilometers into the sky, where it finally exploded.
The explosion produced a loud sound, enough to make the ground shake. It was far stronger than anything the pill lightnings had managed to produce by now.
The Alchemy God stared at the sky for a while before nodding. “I would say that’s about Immortal Spirit 3rd realm in terms of strength. Not bad, it works.”
With that said, the Alchemy God turned around and walked away.
Alex and the Divinity were left dumbfounded by what the Alchemy God did. They failed to believe that the Alchemy God had just tested the pill by actually using it. Given that the pill did exactly what it had said it would do, it seemed he had accepted it.
“Your registration is complete,” the Divinity said after a while. “You will learn more once the round is over.”
Alex didn’t know what else to say except nod. The Alchemy God’s stunt had left him a little startled.
Once the Divinity was gone and he was left alone, he began thinking about the next and final pill. However, even as he began, he unfortunately knew for a fact that he wouldn’t be able to come up with anything useful at all.

The Alchemy God flew back to the chamber, where he sat down.
“My apologies for leaving in the middle of things, but as you could see, I was required to appear before Alchemist Dawnblade,” the Alchemy God said into a treasure that spread his words to the far reaches of the stadium, and through that to all corners of the Medicine World.
“In case you are all wondering what just happened, let me satiate your curiosity. Alchemist Dawnblade created a pill that explodes. In a way, it is no different from what Alchemist Surestream made during the Round of 32 in its application. However, the method of making the pill itself is rather unique.”
“In fact, it’s so unique that it has not been seen in hundreds of thousands of years.”
The Alchemy God spent some time explaining the Discordant Duality pill—something that even the 10 Stars of Alchemy had never heard about. He explained how it was just the method of pill creation that was special, and not the pill itself.
The explanations were helpful for people to understand why it was that the Alchemy God himself needed to check on the pills. They were surprised to learn that a young alchemist had managed to recreate something that had been lost for so long.
“Is it really something that no one has recreated in hundreds of thousands of years?” one of the men in the chamber ended up asking. The one who asked was a young boy who seemed no older than 14, and from what everyone could tell, his question was one of genuine curiosity.
“It is, Weapon God,” the Alchemy God said. “Does that interest you?”
The young boy nodded. “Quite.”
“Would you like some further information on this, then?” the Alchemy God asked.
“Yes.”

The Weapons God had lived for over a hundred thousand years at this point, but his body was still that of a child. He had short dark-red hair with a bright pair of blue eyes and was adorned in golden jewelry that seemed to cover him more than clothes themselves.
He wasn’t the type to talk a lot. In fact, he had spoken maybe three times unprompted. Even when he was asked questions, he answered in as few words as he could.
The man had apparently been born to a group of religious fanatics, where they considered him to be their one and only god. They had apparently seen deification in his future through some seers, so from a young age, he had been cultivated and trained to become a god.
He was taught to never answer more than was needed and to only give one-word answers when asked questions. His subordinates believed that a God was too great to speak to the common people as his equal.
It had been a long time since that group existed, and longer still since Goldsteel left it. However, he was never able to change his mannerisms. And even after becoming a God, as had been prophesied of him, he remained the same man who spoke few words and only when needed.
The Weapons God spent some time listening to the Alchemy God’s explanation and nodded curtly at the end.
“My thanks.”
