Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 2530
Chapter 2530: Axiom
Godslayer sensed the changes that went on outside of Alex. He had paid attention to the outside once in a while to see what was happening. He had more or less paid attention to the competition and knew Alex was winning.
He was proud of him for that.
However, when he looked outside this time, he saw something entirely different.
The world outside of Alex’s mind was in chaos because of what he had summoned from the heavens. Godslayer felt it and immediately knew it for what it was. He remembered a vague memory of going through something similar a long time ago.
A memory that was equally both his and not at the same time.
“Just what did he learn?” Godslayer wondered. “To be so confident about something with so many years of cultivation still left before him, it almost sounds idiotic.”
And yet, Godslayer knew Alex to be a man who questioned things. He wouldn’t stupidly believe something without there being a reason for it. Which meant he had made up his mind about something after thinking about it for a while.
What was happening required opportunity, knowledge, and talent. The fact that Alex had it at such an early point in his cultivation life made Godslayer wonder.
How many more of these would he learn by the time when it would be of proper use to him?
Having his attention dragged outside of Alex’s mind now, Godslayer wouldn’t look away for a long time.

The Alchemy God returned to the chamber after Grimsight and a hundred other divinities created a physical barrier around Alex by themselves.
As he walked into the chamber, he saw the look of shock on the faces of all the gods and many of the sages and reverends. Even so, there was still a large majority here that did not understand what was going on.
The Alchemy God took out his medallion and announced it to the audience.
“Alchemist Dawnblade is attempting to learn an extremely difficult Dao. Please do not interfere.”
His words went around the stadium in a wave, as many nodded to themselves while curious about what this Dao was. Very few out there knew that the Alchemy God had just lied.
Inside the chamber, the Poison God looked toward the Alchemy God. “You could have said nothing. Why did you bother to lie, Your Majesty?”
The Alchemy God turned toward him. “Remaining silent after what is happening would have just made them a lot more curious. Or would you rather I tell them the truth?”
The Poison God put up his hands. “I was merely asking.”
The Storm God smiled. “What’s the point of hiding it?” he asked. “It is not as though they can do it just because they know about it. What do you think?” He turned toward the Winter God.
The Winter God paused for a moment and nodded. “I don’t see the point of hiding it either. The young man before us surely did not know about it either, and here he is, doing exactly that which many of those right in this room have failed to do.”
Those words got many of the people even more curious about what exactly was happening.
The grand disciple of the Golden God spoke up. “Could I ask any of the seniors here to clarify what exactly is going on? Or should I wait to return to my master and grandmaster?”
The Storm God turned toward the young man. “Have you ever heard of something called an Axiom?”
“Axiom?” the young man asked. “No, I don’t think I have.”
While he may not have heard of it, many of the Reverends and Sages that had heard of it suddenly became alert as they watched the events outside the window with a whole new perspective.
Just that word alone increased the importance of the current event by nearly tenfold.
The young man sensed the change in attitude in many and was even more confused. “What exactly is an Axiom?”
The many who did not know looked toward the Storm God, waiting for an explanation.
“To explain it in a simple way, it is a personal Dao. A Dao is the true truth of the world. A personal Dao is something the person alone understands to be true, regardless of whether or not it may be true.”

A wave of frowns and confusion spread through the room. The Gods couldn’t help but chuckle at their lack of understanding of this matter, something that was deliberately hidden by anyone who knew it.
“So as long as we understand something to be true and take it personally, it can be our Axiom as well?” someone else asked.
“It’s a little more complicated than that,” the Storm God said. “The truth must be something that you came to understand yourself. If even a part of it comes from somewhere else and you know that you derived it from some other truth, it can never be your Axiom.”
“The young man down there has come to an understanding all on his own, which is why he was able to summon the Heavenly Principles for himself.”
They all looked to the sky at the pulsating heavens.
“How rare is this? I have lived for so many years and never seen it happen once,” the Golden God’s grand disciple said.
“It is infinitely rarer than someone learning Dao, which is why you haven’t seen it much. But even more than that, people who are close to forming their Axiom usually understand better than to let the world realize that they are learning it. So they end up hiding it from outsiders.”
“I see,” the young man said. “But why go so far for it? What exactly does it mean to learn an Axiom?”
The Storm God grinned and looked at everyone. “Do you know what the first step is to becoming an Immortal?” he asked.
“Learning Dao?” someone answered.
“Yes,” the Storm God said. “In the same way, forming one’s own Axiom is the first step to becoming a Celestial.”
