Chapter 760: Demon City Chapter 760: Demon City Shenlian Yingyue thought for a moment, then whispered a spell with her light red lips and pointed two fingers between her eyebrows.

There, on her flawless forehead, a carmine-purple mandala resembling a blooming lotus emerged.

Her raven hair transformed into a cascade of white, reminiscent of fresh winter snow; her right eye shimmered with a purple hue, akin to the most exquisite amethyst, while her left iris glowed with a deep carmine red, evoking the allure of a beguiling demon from the underworld-mysterious, perilous, yet irresistibly captivating.

{Yue’er, this is too dangerous!} Everyone’s pupils shrank.

They understood why she changed her appearance; it was to tell the demons that she was not human.

But why?

She looked too enchanting; what if they became lustful for her?

“Don’t worry, everyone.” She shook her head, gave them a reassuring smile, and took out another plain white mask to cover her entire face.

Her body, from neck to toes, was enveloped in a long black robe and cloak, revealing only her long white hair that cascaded down to her knees.

With her smile, the men swallowed hard; their irises darkened, and their Adam’s apples moved slightly.

They could never resist her charm.

Even without her actively seducing them, they found themselves captivated.

They wished to hide her away, not wanting anyone to see her true appearance!

This was the first time Shenlian Sheshan and Wang Pei Zhi had seen her like this.

Last time in Golden Candle City, Wang Pei Zhi hadn’t gotten a close look, but now, he swallowed hard.

His appreciation was pure; there was no lust in his eyes.

His friend was truly…

unparalleled!

Shenlian Sheshan regarded her with keen interest, a proud look on his face.

This was how the bloodline of the Shenlian clan should appear!

But his niece was truly amazing; her beauty might attract jealousy and hatred upon her return to the clan.

Alas…

She cast a spell that protected her from the falling rain as she walked through the city gate, where demons began to gaze at her.

At first, they suspected her identity, but when they tried to sense her essence, it revealed that she belonged to a creature from the Underworld Realm.

Consequently, they paid her little attention.

As long as she wasn’t human, they had no reason to be concerned.

Although they despised creatures of the Underworld Realm, their disdain did not rival the hatred they felt toward the human race.

From everyone’s perspective, she looked like a mysterious, white-haired demon.

Her hair was tucked beneath her cloak, so only a few strands were revealed.

Her white hair didn’t stand out here because many demons possessed white hair.

Shenlian Yingyue secretly sent a message to Dongfang Moqing and Huang Bai Xing, telling them not to follow her, as she had her own plans.

They could do whatever they wanted while she proceeded.

After that, her gaze swept around.

She sensed that she was being watched.

This feeling wasn’t ordinary.

If regular demons looked at her, it would be fine, but she clearly sensed a powerful presence focused on her, as if trying to confirm her identity.

She acted calmly and tried to walk as if she were a massive monster entering the city of demons.

Demons behaved like humans.

They sat in tea houses; some were in restaurants while others were buying goods, just like humans do when shopping.

Vendors were everywhere, displaying their goods, and the aroma of street food wafted through the air-spicy dumplings, skewered meats, grilled chicken, wines, and fragrant teas.

As she passed a small stall, she noticed that the vendor’s face was extremely pale.

She suddenly stopped and fixed her gaze on him.

It turned out he was human!

She quickly looked around, and sure enough, all the vendors and restaurant owners were human beings.

But those who were enjoying themselves were demons.

She didn’t understand what was going on, so she approached him and asked, “I’m new to this city; tell me everything that has happened here.” Her tone was light, like a spring breeze, but it sent shivers down the vendor’s spine.

Although she didn’t threaten him, her cold presence frightened him.

“B-back to your honor, several months ago, demons broke into this city.

At first, they wanted to kill everyone here for being useless, but they changed their minds and suddenly let us go under one condition: we must serve and entertain them well.

As long as we obediently do as they want, they will grant us our lives.

All we have to do is perform our roles properly,” the vendor replied, breaking into a cold sweat.

He didn’t kneel down but trembled as he answered her, noticing the white strands of hair that had slipped out from her cloak.

His demeanor was extremely humble, and his knees felt weak, yet he needed to finish his explanation before he annoyed her.  He had witnessed how demons mercilessly slaughtered those who offended them.

As a mere small cultivator, how dared he provoke them?

His back was now soaked with sweat.

“All those powerful cultivators were imprisoned by them; some were killed, and some escaped,” he continued as he noticed she didn’t leave.

He was quick to realize that she was not satisfied with his explanation.

“Do you know how many Demon Kings and Upper Rank Demons are here?” she asked tersely, but he knew what she meant.

In fact, she already had some information from her brother and husbands, but she needed to inquire further.

“Please forgive me, Your Honor; this lowly one doesn’t dare to break the rules here!” The vendor did not want to gamble with his life.

He almost shouted in horror when she mentioned the Demon King.  The other demons looked at him coldly, forcing him to smile at them stiffly.

His grin was uglier than a cry.

The demons sneered at him with contempt.

Humph!

What a coward!

“Rule?” her voice echoed slowly.

“We must keep our mouths shut!” he replied in a hushed voice.

Shenlian Yingyue had to walk away from him.

As soon as she turned her back, she heard a soft thud.

The vendor had fallen to the ground, his face pale.

If she had lingered any longer, she feared the man would burst into tears or even have a heart attack.

She understood his feelings and fear.

No matter how strong a cultivator was, who could remain calm and indifferent in the territory of demons?

Not to mention that these demons were extremely moody.

CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Littlecarrot Yueyue really knows how to scare people (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵).!

She could scare them with her soft voice, bahaha.

She has the characteristics of a demon!
