Ethereal World: Vicious Cannon Fodder's Immortality Road - Chapter 803
Chapter 803: Beliefs Chapter 803: Beliefs One day, Tuzi AoFen presented her with a beast egg.
To her shock, it turned out to be a dragon egg!
Instinctively, she panicked and urged him to return the egg to its nest, fearing the fury of the entire dragon clan.
He reassured her that bringing the unborn dragon home wouldn’t invoke any trouble and that no one would dare come after her.
However, she resolutely shook her head, unwilling to be selfish enough to steal a defenseless baby dragon from its rightful parents.
Even if she craved the strength to safeguard those she loved, she refused to inflict harm on others to gain that power.
Perhaps it was her sentimental nature, but that was simply who she was He had previously brought her the Phoenix egg, the Roc egg, and even the Fafnir egg, each of which she had turned down.
A sense of dread washed over her as she grappled with a realization, yet she hesitated to voice her thoughts before hearing what he had to say.
Today, he presented her with extinct plants she had never imagined could exist in this age.
“They don’t have a name, but they’re referred to as Hadean Eon Plants.
I’m not quite sure just how ancient they are, but they trace back to the Hadean Eon,” he stated casually, a relaxed demeanor betraying her astonishment.
“What did you just say?” Her jaw dropped as her hands trembled around the bizarre, otherworldly plants.
The Hadean Eon marked the beginning of Earth’s geologic history-commencing around 4.6 billion years ago and concluding when the first discernible rocks formed roughly 4.031 billion years ago.
During that epoch, the Earth was still coalescing, plagued by hostile conditions characterized by violent volcanic eruptions and intense tectonic activity.
There existed no evidence of plant life during this period.
The earliest plant fossils emerged approximately 2.7 billion years later, in the Eoarchean era of the Archean Eon.
That was the information she had absorbed in school, and even if researchers delved into the subject, their findings would mirror her education.
So why had Fen Fen claimed these peculiar plants were from the Hadean Eon?
“But geologists on Earth study the Hadean Eon through examining ancient rocks,” she insisted, gazing at the outlandish plants, feeling almost entranced.
She understood that the world was replete with enigmas and that academic institutions often glossed over the intricate truths of existence, but this revelation was far beyond her imagination.
“By studying rocks?
They didn’t originate in that era, how could they know?” He tilted his head, skepticism etched across his face.
“Geologists analyze materials, processes, and the history of the Earth.
They explore how rocks were formed and what has transpired since their emergence,” she attempted to articulate the knowledge she had gathered on Earth.
“Even though the rocks that record the earliest parts of Earth’s history have been destroyed or deformed over time by more than four billion years of geology, scientists can use modern rocks, moon samples, and meteorites to figure out when and how the Earth and moon formed, and what they might once have looked like.” She continued, but with each word, a surreal sensation enveloped her.
“Xiao Yueyue, you humans appear to accept every utterance from scientists and experts without question,” he laughed, amusement dancing in his eyes.
“Isn’t it interesting who we choose to believe?” She pondered, scratching her head. Scientists had access to incredible technology and deep knowledge, but their aim wasn’t merely to “make people believe.” Rather, she realized, their mission was to explore and express the truth about how the world operates, grounding their conclusions in evidence rather than persuasion. “Scientists spend years-sometimes entire lifetimes-dedicating themselves to their disciplines,” she admired their commitment. “Just because there’s no documentation or living proof to confirm the existence of those plants in that time period, it doesn’t automatically validate all their discoveries.
Evidence can be fabricated, and it’s surprisingly easy to shape perceptions when one knows how to present information convincingly,” Tuzi AoFen said with a hint of intrigue. A flicker of amusement danced in his eyes as he regarded the mortals’ tendency to accept things at face value. “Your words make sense!” she gasped. “Then, isn’t it straightforward to manipulate them?” he sighed, shaking his head gently.
Even he, someone who had lived through countless eras, hesitated to dismiss the existence of phenomena from the past.
How could mortals claim such certainty? On what grounds?

Unless they could travel back in time and witness events firsthand, he was skeptical of their conclusions. He wasn’t belittling their efforts or mocking their dedication.
Yet, the unwavering confidence with which so many mortals accepted every utterance from scientists and scholars left him questioning their belief systems.
She began to reflect on his words, and as she explored their deeper meanings, her expression grew somber.
“Fen Fen, fortunately, we’re not on Earth.
If you were to express these thoughts there…” The array of potential reactions-both affirming and disapproving-sent a shiver down her spine.
“I’ve never been concerned with others’ perceptions of me or the legitimacy of my claims.
Regardless of the evidence, people cling to their beliefs,” he said, his demeanor unruffled.
He was not a human being; he did not feel the need to persuade anyone to accept his views.
He understood only one thing: he never belittled any truth or possibility by confining his own freedom to believe within the boundaries of accepted evidence.
She nodded, acknowledging that people would believe what they chose to believe.
It was their right and freedom to uphold their convictions, and she had no authority to dictate whether those convictions were genuine or false.
In the realm of beliefs, everyone clung to their own truths and their own realities, who was she or anyone to unravel it?
She also had her own belief-she understood that the essence of belief was not in its veracity, but in the freedom it bestowed.
Even when faced with tangible proof, truth can be a slippery concept.
Just because she lived in a bubble of familiarity, untouched by the unfamiliar, it didn’t mean the undiscovered was a figment of imagination; existence often dances on the edge of the known, teasing the boundaries of perception, it merely marked the limits of her journey.
Evidence was a fickle companion; it might illuminate a path, yet truth often remained shrouded in the fog of misunderstanding. “In the world of perception, absence does not imply non-existence.” she smiled. Just because she had never glimpsed the extraordinary didn’t mean it was an illusion; some wonders wait patiently in the corners of life, waiting for an open mind to unveil them. CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Littlecarrot I, alone, cannot express my opinions and put all my thoughts to make the perfect words to describe the power of belief.
