Chapter 825: She Understands Her Sufferings! [Heaven Talisman Papers]
Everyone pointed fingers at Shen Anshuang, accusing her of murdering her husband, dragging her ancestors into darkness, and causing her loyal followers to live in anguish.
But had they ever stopped to consider the true depth of her pain? A woman born frail, clawing her way from the depths of despair to achieve what little she had, only to be betrayed time and again, abandoned in the wilderness with her helpless infant—what torment had she endured, both mentally and physically?
When her ancestors and subordinates conspired against her, did they ever pause to reflect on their own cruelty?
When they reduced her carefully constructed throne hall to ashes in their greed for the inheritance she had hidden, did they spare a thought for the years of hard work that had gone into establishing that sanctuary?
Shen Anshuang was simply striving to protect her peace and safety, as well as that of her son. How did she become the villain painted as a threat to the world?
Every human has their flaws; why then did the world choose to cast its hatred upon her?
As Shen Anshuang absorbed Shenlian Yingyue’s insights, shock washed over her. Who was this person? How could she possess such profound understanding? How could she perceive the world through such an enlightened lens?
Shen Anshuang had never imagined that even without revealing her full history to elicit sympathy, someone could fathom her struggles better than she could herself.
“Having faced betrayal from family, friends, lovers, and cherished ones, each ordeal of suffering and joy sculpted her into who she is today. Life is a series of seasons, and each experience she encountered, every path she traversed, was a beautiful chapter. Amidst the torrent of betrayal, she brought forth a precious life,” Shenlian Yingyue whispered softly.
Though she held dislike for Shen Xian’s tyrannical ways, that was a matter personal to her and him.
To Shen Anshuang, Shen Xian represented a beacon of hope. He was a significant reason why she found the strength to rise from her despair. He avenged the wrongs committed against her, delivering the justice she had long yearned for.
Even born devoid of emotions, he still harbored gratitude toward the one who had given him life.
“In the midst of suffering and constant judgment, she became resilient and unwavering in her beliefs and choices. She discovered her true self and learned what she truly desired,” Shenlian Yingyue continued to muse, enveloped in her own thoughts.
She remained oblivious to the profound influence her thoughts exerted over Shen Anshaung, who stood off to the side, quietly absorbing her ideas and the reactions of those around her.
In this moment, had she ever considered just how significantly her very presence could alter the course of someone else’s fate?
“Why are there no hidden treasures here? Isn’t this supposed to be the throne room? Where’s the legacy?” Xiao Meng exclaimed, darting around the space with keen observation.
Apart from the charred remnants of furniture, the shattered tiles and debris, and the scorched throne and columns, there was nothing of value to be found.
“You fool, are you even certain you have the right key to this throne room?” Xiao Meng stormed over and seized Di Xiuyu by the throat.
Caught off guard by Shenlian Yingyue’s presence, Di Xiuyu was not prepared for this sudden assault. She found herself trapped in a precarious position, held captive by Xiao Meng.
“You insufferable idiot!” Di Xiuyu seethed in frustration. Once again, she had been wronged by this foolish demonic cat. How could she, a proud daughter of heaven, tolerate such indignity?
Drawing on her inner strength, she summoned her willpower, refusing to let Xiao Meng react. Instead, she unleashed a barrage of talisman papers imbued with thunder and ice attributes at her adversary.
These talismans were akin to rune papers, each one belonging to the esteemed category of high-grade Heaven runes.
Such powerful talismans were enough to challenge even Golden Immortals.
Given the rarity of rune masters, these inscriptions were immensely valuable. Those who had mastered the art could create formidable spells capable of shaking the heavens and the earth.
The higher the grade of the talisman papers, the greater their potential wielded.
“Where did you acquire so many valuable talisman papers?” Xiao Meng gasped as searing heat from the conflagration of thunder and fire singed her tail.
“I consider them mere playthings, discarding them one after another. Care to join me?” Di Xiuyu tossed out yet another Heaven talisman paper.
Her unapologetic taunts caused Xiao Meng to nearly cough up blood in her fury and envy.
Shenlian Yingyue couldn’t deny Di Xiuyu had a biting wit that adeptly toyed with the mental balance of her foes.
Their fierce exchanges wreaked havoc on the throne hall. Strangely, no matter how much destruction they wrought, their spiritual energies never seemed to venture toward the desolate and solitary throne.

Tai Hua Lei scowled, finding the discord among the women utterly distasteful. Glancing back at the serene demeanor of Shenlian Yingyue, he felt his own tense muscles begin to relax.
Shen Anshuang’s eyes glinted with deadly determination. How dare these two women intrude upon her hall and still covet her inheritance?
“We should leave now. I sense that my master isn’t here,” Shenlian Yingyue urged, reluctant to engage in combat. She had a gut feeling that someone was approaching.
“Don’t you care about the inheritance, Yueyue?” Tai Hua Lei asked, confused.
“Xiao Yueyue, aren’t you curious to explore? There could be fascinating things lurking here,” Xiao Qiu chimed in excitedly.
“No, my only concern is rescuing my master. Besides, the Demon Emperor’s inheritance isn’t meant for us humans. If anyone’s meant to inherit it, it should rightfully belong to the current Demon Emperor. And even if we stumble upon treasures here, do we have the means to make it out alive?” She shook her head gently, her eyes reflecting the clarity of a serene lake.
Tai Hua Lei regarded her with newfound respect; it was clear he had much to learn.
“She’s right. You could benefit from her wisdom,” Xiao Yun agreed, nodding in admiration.
Xiao Qiu, still puzzled by her lack of interest in such immense power, shook his head, trying to rouse himself from his daze. How had he lost his wits after living for so long?
Shen Anshuang observed the two women and their charming companions walking away without a second thought. A subtle, enigmatic expression crossed her otherwise stoic face.
The girl had a point; had she pressed forward, she could’ve unearthed the treasures she had deliberately left behind. But acquiring those invaluable treasures didn’t mean she would easily allow anyone to claim them as their own.
Before departing, Shenlian Yingyue whispered into Di Xiuyu’s consciousness, “You must leave at once; someone approaches. If you acquire any treasures, be sure to conceal your identity.”
Di Xiuyu was stunned. Before she could react, she was slapped by Xiao Meng’s claw.
