Chapter 838: Peach Blossom Snake Demon [Familiar Treatment]
“Since you’re not willing to open up about what happened when Shen Xian captured you with that demon tree, let me take a shot at it,” she said, scrutinizing him closely. Her clear eyes reflected his image like a polished mirror.
“It was over two years ago that the conflict between humans and demons erupted. The demons flooded into the Mortal Realm, seeking to seize all the artifacts and ancient relics left behind by our ancestors to safeguard their legacies. Later, when I infiltrated Demon City to create chaos and free the prisoners taken by the demons, I confronted Infernal Volcanic and Demon King Shi Ji. That’s when you came out of nowhere with Fen Fen, whisking me away just as Shen Xian appeared.”
But alas, on that fateful day, Shen Xian caught up with them. To protect her and Fen Fen, her master had to stay behind and buy some time against Shen Xian. She found herself lost in an unfamiliar forest in a foreign continent alongside Fen Fen.
In that strange place, she devoted herself to her cultivation, successfully advancing from the peak stage of Crossing Disaster to the early stage of True Immortal. But it wasn’t long before Shen Xian tracked her down.
“You didn’t lose to Shen Xian just because he was stronger; he used the demon tree to suppress you. Even though your cultivation level didn’t match his as a ruler of the Demon Realm, you certainly weren’t weak. Your skills and power irritated him. Once he got his fill from battling you, he chose to end it. Killing you wasn’t an option, so he captured you instead.”
“So, he took you hostage. That demon tree awakened your demonic nature and rage, transforming you into your true form and causing you to lose control. Shen Xian knocked you unconscious and brought you—helpless and vulnerable—to elicit my fury and Fen Fen’s hatred.”
“When I was dragged into the Demon Realm against my will, Shen Xian secretly released you. While I frantically searched for you, you found refuge inside the Abyssal Throne Ruins, unaware of my quest. Don’t mind my bold guess, master, but do you seek the previous Demon Emperor’s inheritance because you are part of the demon race yourself?” She paused, noticing his disbelieving expression.
Her deductions were eerily accurate.
“You are the Peach Blossom Snake Demon, aren’t you?” She pointed at his peach blossom wings and serpentine tail.
“Xiao Yueyue… how did you uncover my identity?” His eyes widened in surprise.
“Master, it’s rather apparent.” She replied confidently.
“It’s not as straightforward as you imagine, Xiao Yueyue.” Xiong Zi Ying rubbed his temples. While he acknowledged her intelligence, he was aware that not everyone could surmise the truth of his origins.
“Let me take another guess. You were on the verge of acquiring an inheritance from the previous Demon Emperor when you were interrupted by these people. You sustained severe injuries and fled to this Cave of Destruction.”
“Then, you resorted to threats, warning them that if they attempted to forcibly seize your Immortal Bone and Celestial Veins, you would self-destruct and take them down with you. They held back, but their hatred didn’t wane. Instead, they shackled you, tormented you, and used you as a punching bag for their frustrations. You could only retaliate against the weakest of them, constrained by their threats against your loved ones.”
“By targeting the vulnerable among the powerful, you can incite desperation. The strongest clans prioritize individuals of worth, and those deemed useless and weak are often overlooked. Eliminating a few won’t rattle their resolve; if they can obtain your Immortal Bone and Celestial Veins, sacrificing hundreds to lure you into compliance seems like a small price to pay.” She frowned, her mind racing through every conceivable angle.
Xiong Zi Ying’s eyes widened as he absorbed her words, while Xiong Yi Chen, stirred from his reverie, gazed through his brother’s perspective at her with admiration and unease.
“By eliminating their own, they won’t grant you mercy. They’ll retaliate against you, degrading you as they please—snipping your cherished hair, marring your prized scales, using you as a mere punching bag to release their frustration. Yet they cannot kill you, no matter how much hate festers within them.” Her voice grew colder as she spoke.
Xiong Zi Ying and Xiong Yi Chen fell silent, wholly captivated and unnerved by her intelligence—a blend of brilliance that felt both terrifying and oddly comforting.
To prove her hypothesis, she stepped out from the protective barrier and approached the battered remnants of the Shenlian clan.
The twenty individuals, already on the brink of death from her allies’ relentless assault, gasped weakly.
“You wish to alleviate your suffering? Then confess every transgression committed against my master over the past two years. If I suspect any falsehood, I won’t grant you the mercy of death but will instead shatter your spiritual roots and tendons,” she announced, advancing toward them like a harbinger of doom.
Their faces drained of color. A fate worse than death awaited them—ruined spiritual roots meant a lifetime of shame, discarded like refuse by the very families that once nurtured them. With severed tendons, they would find themselves utterly helpless, merely flesh without the ability to act.
Knowing their past misdeeds, the magnitude of their plight tormented them, and they hastily confessed every wrong they had ever committed against Xiong Zi Ying.
Yet Shenlian Yingyue held no trust in their words. Utilizing her unique abilities, she tuned into their heartbeats, breaths, and the subtleties of their body language to discern their honesty.
Ultimately, she concluded that none among them deserved her leniency or compassion, for their salvation lay not in her hands but in her master’s.
Even now, fearing death more than understanding repentance, they pleaded for release rather than acknowledging their true accountability. Their apologies rang hollow in her ears.
Without remorse, she delivered justice, mirroring the cruelties they had inflicted upon her master.
They had sheared his long-cherished hair? In response, she made them bald, destroying their treasured possessions as she uncovered their most valued aspects of life.
They had ripped away his scales, leaving him to bleed? She retaliated in kind, methodically cutting into their skin, letting the blood leak from their wounds.
The wails of agony filled the air, but not a single shred of sympathy emerged for them.

They used her master as a punching bag for their resentment and fury, she asked her partners to retaliate in the same way they had treated her master.
Her partners were devoid of mercy, striking fiercely—pummeling, smashing, and unleashing their spiritual might upon these wretched souls. Each blow resonated with strength, breaking bones and filling the air with the sound of crunching flesh.
“ahh, ahh, ahhh!!!”
With a snap of her fingers, chains manifested, binding the wrists of all twenty figures.
“What are you planning to do?” To their horror, they quickly recognized the irony—their treatment mirrored their own past actions toward Xiong Zi Ying!
