Evil MC's NTR Harem - Chapter 392
Chapter 392: Chapter 392 Pardon
Penny Summers hadn’t expected Ross to know anything about why she was here, yet he did—and that confused her to no end.
Still, that didn’t mean she would fall into his trap, as so many of his wives had before.
“Even so, I’m still not interested. Please, find someone else to bother,” Penny said firmly.
“As you wish, but it’s a futile attempt, really. With how small-brained your husband is, he’ll keep pushing you to come here, trying to assuage his guilt for not satisfying you anymore. And when you finally can’t take it, know that I’ll be waiting,” Ross replied smoothly, his voice dripping with confidence.
Then, he simply sat there in silence, as if he were Penny’s silent shadow.
He drank a lot, but his mere presence was enough to make it clear to every man in the room that Penny was off-limits.
It was obvious he was staking his claim, barricading her for himself.
When the clock struck midnight, Penny left without a word.

“How was it, honey? Did you find someone tonight? Quick, tell me all about it.” A handsome man, his smile strained but hopeful, greeted Penny as she stepped through the door.
Penny’s shoulders slumped as she set her bag down and avoided his eager gaze.
“I didn’t. I couldn’t.” She hesitated, her voice softening with weariness.
“Asher, can we please stop this? I’m happy just being with you. I don’t need or want… that.”
Her voice cracked on the last word, but she refused to cry—not again.
Asher’s smile faltered, replaced by a look of steely resolve. He crossed the room and gently took her hands in his.
“We need to, Penny. If we want this marriage to work, you have to. I can’t give you what you need anymore, and I won’t let that destroy us.” His voice was steady, though his grip on her hands tightened slightly. He looked desperate. A shell of a man he used to be.
“You deserve satisfaction, especially in the one part of our relationship I can’t… fulfill anymore.”
Penny pulled her hands back, her expression a mix of frustration and exhaustion.
“I don’t need that. What I need is you,Asher. Just you. Isn’t that enough?”
“It’s not about being enough,” Asher replied, his tone firm but pained.
“This is about us, about finding a way to make things work. I know it’s hard—I know it’s hard for us both… but I believe this will help us in the long run. Trust me, Penny. Please.”
Penny’s lips pressed into a thin line as she studied the man she’d once thought was invincible.
He still looked strong, handsome, and determined, but there was a hollowness in his eyes that hadn’t been there before.
Ever since that fateful incident over a year ago.
Losing his manhood—not just physically but symbolically—had shattered something deep within him.
He’d fought to reclaim his life, going back to work as a police officer and now trying to be a good husband to her even if Penny repeatedly said that she was contented with what they had. What Asher could give, that was more than enough for her.
“I hate this, Asher. I don’t like this at all,” Penny said finally, her voice cracking under the weight of her emotions.
She looked away, blinking back the tears that threatened to spill.
She wanted to scream, to tell him he was wrong, that this wasn’t the way to fix anything. But she was too tired—too drained to argue anymore.
They had argued about this for months already.

“Okay,” she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.
“I’ll try again tomorrow.”
Asher reached out as if to comfort her, but she stepped back, shaking her head.
“I need to be alone for a while,” she said before retreating to their bedroom.
Left alone in the living room, Asher sank onto the couch and buried his face in his hands.
He wanted to believe he was doing the right thing, but deep down, a voice whispered that he was only pushing them further apart.
He was just too stubborn to admit that he was wrong.

The next night, Penny went out again, trying to give her husband what he wanted—trying to find a lover.
She still didn’t believe for a second that having an affair could solve their problems.
The very idea felt absurd, a desperate and misguided attempt to patch something that couldn’t be fixed this way.
As if summoned by her inner turmoil, a familiar voice interrupted her thoughts.
“He’s escaping reality. Refusing to face it and running away instead. Your husband is a coward,” the voice said smoothly, cutting through the din of the bar.
“Aunt Roberta,” the voice said next as he signaled to the bartender and ordered his drink.
As Penny glanced out of the corner of her eye, she felt his presence shift beside her.
His tall, muscular frame filled the space, radiating confidence and dominance.
“Are you stalking me now?” she asked, still refusing to meet his gaze.
She wasn’t even surprised anymore at how Ross Oakley always managed to know far more than he should.
The man was filthy rich, after all, and everyone knew how easily powerful men could twist their influence to their advantage.
“Stalking?” Ross repeated, feigning offense.
“That’s an ugly word, Penny. I prefer to call it fate. It sounds far more romantic, don’t you think?”
His tone was playful, yet Penny felt the weight of his words, the deliberate way he made his presence unavoidable.
She didn’t respond, choosing instead to sip her drink in silence. Ross, however, didn’t press further.
He simply stayed there, as if his mere presence was enough to remind her of his intentions.
And so, it began.
For the next three months, Penny and Ross met like this—night after night.
Sometimes he spoke, sometimes he didn’t.
But he was always there, watching her with that infuriatingly knowing look in his eyes.
Penny hated how he made her feel—like she was being slowly pulled into his orbit, no matter how much she tried to resist.
Until, one night, everything changed.
