Chapter 75: Chapter 75 Evolution Points Show Me Your Limit
In the end, Michael was fortunate to fill all his contract slots with just five black apes.
The remaining three corpses could still be used for {Undead Revival}.
Michael decided that after advancing in rank, he’d attempt to use them as materials to create undead.
Additionally, he planned to sell the goblin corpses he had stored in his mark of origin—those that had failed to revive as undead and could no longer be used for crafting new undead—at the association tomorrow when he checked if the receptionist had managed to secure him a crack entry.
Now, Michael had a plan.
Initially, after filling his contract slots, he intended to begin evolving his undead, but then he remembered something important.
The higher the rank of the undead, the more likely it was for the {Undead Summoning} skill to fail.
If Michael decided to evolve all his undead to rare rank, which should advance them to rank 1, that would make using {Undead Summoning} much harder.
Perhaps he could also attempt it once he reached rank 1, and with all his undead and him at the same level, it might not be such a big issue. But it felt like a waste not to at least try now.
“I have 20 undead now, but only a few can be summoned and dismissed in the Netherworld.”
Michael could summon a total of seven undead, meaning he only had to use the skill on 13 of them.
Aside from the two black apes, the rest of his undead were weak.
After thinking for a moment, he made a decision.
“I’ll try three times for each undead. If I still can’t succeed, I’ll have to postpone it until after I advance.”
“Anyway, I need to spend all my attribute points so my stats can be boosted when I rank up.”
Even the unimportant stats would receive at least a 29% boost, so the higher the stats before advancing, the stronger they would be afterward, with varying differences depending on the individual Awakened.
Holding onto attribute points wasn’t a smart move in this system.
With that in mind, Michael called out his status to begin distributing his points.
[Strength: 7.6]
[Agility: 13.6]
[Constitution: 9.2]
[Intelligence: 46.3]
[Attribute Points: 19]
Michael was now much stronger in many ways than one than when he first Awakened and he’d only continue to do so.
Unlike when increasing the intelligence stat was nothing but a waste a few days ago, Michael felt no problem increasing them now which could be seen by how far agility, his second most important stat was far away from intelligence unlike how the former stat looked like it would overtake the latter.
“19 attribute points, how do I distribute this?” Michael thought.
Intelligence was surely going to receive the most hit his other attributes shouldn’t be too far behind lest he gets humbled by a physical class with one punch.
After contemplating for a few seconds, Michael finally decided on the distribution.
[Strength: 10.6(3^)]
[Agility: 15.6(2^)]

[Constitution: 10.2(1^)]
[Intelligence: 59.3(13^)]
[Attribute Points: 0]
Michael’s stats already looked impressive, and they would only improve after evolving his undead to rank 1.
By then, his intelligence stat would surely surpass 60 points, potentially granting him another skill.
Perhaps after advancing in rank, his intelligence could even reach 100 points—a truly monumental number, a hundred times the average human’s.
For now, Michael didn’t have any offensive spells and only used his mana for a few things. However, once he did acquire such spells, his terrifying mana pool would begin to show its full potential.
After distributing his attribute points, Michael prepared to start using {Undead Summoning}.
Even though it was getting dark, he didn’t plan to leave the land of origin just yet.
He was prepared to stay a while longer and had come prepared with three large lamps purchased from the mall.
Michael had stored them in his mark of origin in a discreet alley, to avoid any unnecessary attention at the hotel he was staying in.
Michael placed the lamps around him, adjusting their brightness until the area was just bright enough to dissolve the surrounding darkness.
Once the setup was complete, he began using his skill on his undead.
Two hours passed.
Out of his twenty undead, Michael successfully enabled 12 to be summoned and dismissed into the Netherworld, leaving 8 on which the skill had failed after three attempts. Some of these failures weren’t even the first time he’d tried.
Still, Michael was satisfied with the overall result.
Using {Undead Summoning} over 30 times in quick succession had left him slightly drained.
Fortunately, his increased intelligence stat prevented him from developing a splitting headache, though even if he had one, it wouldn’t have deterred him.
There was still work to be done.
Why?
Because it was finally time to mass evolve his undead!
Not only that—it was also time to advance in rank!
“Evolution points! Show me your limit!”
Michael’s first target wasn’t the female hobgoblin or the black ape that {Undead Summoning} had worked on, but one of his earliest undead: the third forest wolf he’d brought alongside Lucky and Prince.
