Chapter 597: Three Way Battle
Nameless Death used the Dragon’s Roar to stun the Berserker for a split second, met the charge, and they clashed again.
Blows, counters, slashes flew.
None of their techniques were clean, or elegant.
It was just pure rage and instinct.
It was violence given form.
Berserker laughed mid-fight, blood dripping from his lips.
“Did you feel that?” he yelled. “I can kill your consciousness. Rip it apart. I wasn’t planning on doing this yet, but you pissed me off.”
He lunged.
But then something cut through the air.
Something sharp, silent, and fast.
Nameless Death’s Death Sense screamed.
He moved his head, barely dodging a bullet.
Berserker moved too, but not fast enough. The bullet shot at him exploded in the air beside him.
Berserker’s right hand blew apart.
He recoiled, stumbling back.
A voice echoed through the trees.
“Missed me, bitch?”
Nameless Death turned to the source of voice.
He was a human with blonde hair, and red eyes. He wore a black suit, and had a grin on his face.
“Zagreus ,” Berserker growled through clenched teeth. The Queen’s mouth twisted with the sound. “Get lost. I have no intention of entertaining a stain like you. You mock the name of warriors just by existing.”
“Damn, he looks pissed.” The eldritch octopus floated beside Zagreus , bobbing lazily.
Zagreus ignored the octopus, and looked at Nameless Death.
“Get lost, kiddo. I’ve got business with this one.” He gestured casually at Berserker. “Oh, and don’t worry about thanking me for saving your ass.”
Nameless Death shook his head.
“This guy is my opponent. I’m not leaving unless I defeat him.”
Zagreus let out a low whistle.
He turned to the octopus. “I thought you said there wasn’t any weed in this jungle. But this guy’s clearly on the highest quality shit I’ve ever seen.”
The tension snapped as soon as the words left his mouth.
In a blink, Berserker launched forward, aiming straight for Nameless Death.
The ground cracked under the Queen’s legs as she propelled forward.

Nameless Death didn’t dodge. He met the attack head-on as he intercepted the attack with his True Death Sword.
Their clash shook the forest.
Zagreus sighed.
“Should’ve stayed out of it, but here we are.”
He stepped in.
His sword came alive, coated in a dense layer of crimson Death.
It moved fast, faster than it had any right to.
His free hand held a handgun and fired green bullets that shimmered unnaturally. When they exploded, they didn’t cause damage. They amplified pain.
Nameless Death moved carefully, stepping around the bullets while keeping pressure on Berserker.
Berserker roared. His Chaos Elementals burst outward, corrupting the air.
He slammed his fists into Nameless Death, who slid back but didn’t fall.
Zagreus dashed in, blade whistling through the air. He slashed at Berserker, but the Queen’s body twisted with impossible angles, barely dodging.
“You’re fast for a corpse,” Zagreus muttered.
“Shut up, Hargraves,” Berserker snapped. “Why does your damned bloodline always comes to irritate me!”
Nameless Death recognized that family name, but this was no time to ponder over it.
Besides, Hargraves sounded like a normal family name, and it didn’t necessarily mean he was related to Zagreus . If he was Zagreus would’ve recognized him.
Zagreus fired another bullet. Berserker blocked it with the Queen’s arm. The flesh didn’t tear, but she flinched.
Nameless Death used the moment.
He vanished using Pseudo Gap and reappeared above them, slamming down his sword with terrifying force.
Berserker leapt back, avoiding the blow, but Zagreus had to deflect with his own sword. The clash sent a shockwave outwards.
“Hey,” Zagreus said, glancing up at him. “I’m not attacking you. So leave while I’m playing nice.”
Nameless Death ignored him.
They kept fighting.
Zagreus moved unpredictably, his sword arcing in wide, brutal cuts. The red death around it pulsed with sick energy. When it connected, the wound didn’t just bleed, they throbbed. Painfully.
His bullets rained down constantly, forcing both opponents to stay alert.
Zagreus clicked his tongue.
“Just stop already,” he said to Berserker. “I don’t want to kill you, yet.”
Then things shifted.
Berserker snarled, his rage peaking.
“That’s it Hargraves. If you want to fight, I’ll shut your mouth permanently.”
He turned away from Nameless Death and charged straight at Zagreus . His speed tripled. The Chaos Elementals spiraled wildly around him.
Zagreus raised his blade just in time.
The impact sent him flying into a tree. He coughed, but kept his smile.
“My cat hits harder than that.”
Nameless Death didn’t waste the opportunity. As Berserker tore toward Zagreus again, he struck from the side. His sword slashed low, aiming for the Queen’s knees.
Berserker blocked with his forearm. It cracked. Blood sprayed, but he kept moving.
Normally, he wouldn’t have any problem facing Nameless Death with this body.
But Zagreus ‘ attack were eating through his defenses.
The fight was three-sided, and it was becoming increasingly chaotic.
Zagreus was forced to fight Berserker head-on while also fending off Nameless Death.
Every time he created space, Nameless Death darted in. Every time he staggered Berserker, Nameless Death tried to kill him.
“Damn, these idiots are pissing me off,” Zagreus muttered. “They are not even listening because I’m asking politely.”
His blade clashed with Berserker’s hardened limbs again.
Pain bullets peppered the area, keeping both at bay.
Nameless Death ignored the stinging sensation in his arm. One had grazed him, and he quickly cut he arm before regenerating it.
He focused on Berserker, who was now trying to crush Zagreus into paste.
Berserker roared again, leaping high into the air and coming down like a meteor. Zagreus rolled aside.
Nameless Death moved in, slicing upward. The Queen’s abdomen split open. Berserker ignored the pain, and swung back violently.
Nameless Death countered.
Zagreus grabbed Nameless Death’s wrist mid-swing and twisted. Then he drove his sword through the shoulder. Black blood poured.
“I need this guy alive, you know,” Zagreus said over his shoulder.
“Not my problem,” Nameless Death replied.
The air around them kept darkening.
The forest was a battlefield now, half-destroyed. Branches hung broken. Ash drifted through the air. The Chaos Elementals from Berserker was leaking out faster now, staining everything.
