Extra's Descent - Chapter 204
Chapter 204: Wildflower [1]
“Haha.”
Lumian laughed as he kicked the ground with the blade in his hand.
Amelia was undoubtedly caught off guard.
His eyes abruptly flicked towards Cid who was running ahead. His previous appearance had returned.
But the moment Cid returned to his original appearance.
No.
Brandon.
His name was Brandon apparently.
The moment Lumian caught sight of the look on his face, his mind was flooded with several thoughts.
A sense of familiarity washed over him
A girl from his past.
Pale–white hair, and ice–blue eyes.
Belle Locke.
He looked just like her.
It was during his academy days when he was younger, back in his country.
She was a student who had just transferred from overseas.
Her beauty was breathtaking, and Lumian found himself awestruck.
It was love at first sight.
Since Belle was new to the country, and she didn’t have any friends, Lumian offered himself as a guide.
The two quickly became friends after that,
But.
When he died.
He was abandoned.
Abandoned by everyone.
Abandoned by Belle.
Flicking his eyes back towards Amelia—who turned her head slightly with wide eyes, Lumian swung his blade, aiming for her torso.
But it was then.
Clang—!

“….!”
But it was then that the group heard a sudden commotion from the forest.
Belle flicked her head towards it, and she could feel the thick mana coming from that direction.
Clang—!
The sound of swords clashing.
It was muffled, giving her the hint that it was several distances away.
They immediately turned their heads and looked at each other.
“Let’s go.”
Nodding their heads, they immediately got up and fled towards the source of the commotion.
The forest was dense, the underbrush making it difficult to move swiftly.
Belle led the way as she traced the mana’s source.
Clang—! Clang—!
The sounds of battle grew louder as they approached, the clashing of swords and shouts becoming more distinct.
Time passed and they had finally broken through the trees into a small clearing.
The sounds of clashing had stopped for a few seconds. But as she made it through the bushes…
“….”
Her eyes widened in shock.
There, she could see Amelia, running, seemingly exhausted, holding onto an arm. Ahead of her was…
No way.
It was Brandon.
And…
His arm.
“….!”
Belle covered her mouth in shock as she realized Brandon had lost his arm.
She couldn’t believe it. She felt like bursting into tears.
But it was then.
A man suddenly appeared right behind Amelia.
Navy blue hair and red eyes.
It was the man from the descriptions.
His sword was up high, about to swing down towards Amelia.
Swoosh—!
Belle kicked the ground and burst forth. Unsheathing the sword on her waist and empowering her legs with wind, Belle kicked the air and got in between Amelia and the sword.
“General!”
A voice reached her ears, one of her companions.
Clang—!
Belle’s sword met the man’s with a resounding clash. Sparks flew in the air upon impact.
The force of the blow reverberated through her arm. But she held firm, staring down at the man with narrowed eyes.
“Belle Locke!”
The man’s eyes widened as if a sense of familiarity washed through him.
He knew her?
How?
Even Belle didn’t know who he was.
“This day just keeps getting better and better.”
The man spoke as they continued their exchange.
A magic circle appeared beneath his feet and the man quickly leapt off, distancing himself from Belle and the magic circle.
“Stay the fuck away you extras!”
The man cursed out loud.
Belle’s companions appeared by her side and Ivan stepped forward. He gestured with his hand to stop Belle.
“I’ll take it from here. Go assist General Constantine.”
Belle reluctantly looked at him. But eventually, she nodded her head and fixed her attention back towards Amelia—who stood still and held an arm on her hand.
Belle didn’t need to ask to know who’s arm it belonged to.
A sudden chill ran down her spine just by the thought of it.
She scanned Amelia.
Her body was covered in cuts, blood trickling down. Dirt smeared on her face and her chest heaved up and down.
Then, she looked at Brandon who slumped down on the ground, clenching his shoulder. There was ice on it, to stop the bleeding.
“What happened!?”
Belle asked.
“Tsk.”
Amelia clicked her tongue and gritted her teeth.
“That bastard.”
She pointed at the man who was engaged in combat with the task force. The ground shook as all sorts of magic flew in the air.
A sudden rage boiled within Belle as her eyes locked on her younger brother who looked lost.
She neared him and crouched down, holding his other shoulder.
“…Sis.”
Brandon spoke and his voice cracked.
“….”
Belle shook her head and her expressions turned grim.
Gritting her teeth tightly, she
Drip. Drip…!
Tears trickled down her face, sorrowed by her younger brother’s current state.
“If only…”
If only she hadn’t allowed him to leave on that day.
“Fuck.”
She held him in her arms.
“Fuck.”
She cursed.
“Fuck.”
And cursed.
“Fuck…”
And cursed again, her voice cracking.
She truly couldn’t believe it.
Amelia appeared behind her and held his arm for Belle to see.
“There’s still hope.”
Amelia assured her.
“I know.”
Belle calmed her thoughts.
It was possible.
With the technological advancement in this world, assisted by magic, reattaching Brandon’s arm would be done in no time.
They just had to get out of this place.
But she couldn’t abandon her companions. She was currently on a mission.
It was then when she realized.
“Amelia, did you get the message?”
“What message?”
“On your phone. The army sent it to every officer.”
It was information about the man.
Amelia retrieved her phone and opened it.
After she checked, her expressions became perplexed.
“I did, but…. Isn’t this a bit late?”
“What do you mean?”
The message was sent a few weeks ago. What did she mean it was late?
“Look.”
“….”
Belle checked Amelia’s phone as she held it out for her to see.
Her brows suddenly raised.
