Extra's Descent - Chapter 205
Chapter 205: Wildflower [2]
It must’ve been due to the density of mana that permeated the air, that the signal was unstable.
After all, phones were powered by mana. Radio waves were a thing of the past, and would never work due to mana influencing it.
Belle immediately realized that as she stared at Amelia’s phone.
“Okay, that answers everything.”
It did.
The fact that Brandon never replied to her, and the warning the Imperial Army sent to Amelia.
“Brandon.”
She turned her head and looked at Brandon. His complexions looked better, relieved of her arrival, and the idea of his arm being immediately reattached.
“Go with Amelia. Return to the capital and get yourself treated.”
“What about you?”
“I’ll meet up with you in the city after we deal with this.”
She fixed her attention back to the fight. Her companions seemed to be successful in suppressing the man.
“Okay, sis.”
Belle nodded at Brandon’s words and stepped forward.
“Take care of him, Amelia.”
“Of course.”
“Mhm.”
Belle flashed a smile and turned her head. The mana around her suddenly gathered. The air grew heavy, thick from the density of mana.
Her figure suddenly emitted a bright golden glow. Her hair fluttered and gradually changed hue.
From the tip of her hair, up until the crown. Her hair completely turned golden.
Blinking, her eyes glowed a bright golden glow.
[Elemental Assimilation]
The bright golden aura around her seemed to form a flower.
But as Belle liked to call it…
Wildflower.
Belle kicked the ground and bolted from her position, joining the fight.
Scanning, her subordinates surrounded the man from all sides. Wounds seemed to etch all over his body.
The man’s eyes widened as he caught sight of her and opened his mouth.
“Don’t you recognize me, Belle Locke?!”
The man seemed to know who she was. But had no idea who he was.

“No, I don’t.”
She really didn’t.
“Haha. You fucking bitch.”
The man immediately disappeared. Belle sensed the fluctuation of mana and swung her blade in that direction.
Clang—!
Their blades clashed, and Ivan’s lightning magic cut through, piercing the man’s shoulder.
“Akh…!”
“Pin him!”
Ivan’s voice rang out and everyone present immediately threw all sorts of magic towards the man.
Narrowing her eyes, Belle glared at the man, and thrusted her blade forward.
Clang—!
But her blade was immediately parried and purple flames suddenly lashed out.
Belle swiftly maneuvered, her wind magic increasing her speed as she kicked the air.
The man’s attacks were relentless. But Belle evaded and retaliated with precision, the light emitting from her continuing to glow.
Tzz—
Streaks of lightning suddenly rippled and the man was hurled sideways. Blinking, Belle could see Ivan, pinning the man down.
Tzz— Tzz— Tzz—
The sizzling sound of lightning rang out. Belle and the rest of her subordinates kicked the ground and neared Ivan—who was on top of Lumian.
But it was then.
Voosh—!
Purple flames ignited and Ivan leapt backwards, distancing himself from the man.
Ivan patted his pants, then lifted his arm to inspect his palm. A scorch mark marred the skin.
“Tsk.”
Ivan clicked his tongue. But giving the man no time to retaliate, Ivan bolted from his position as lightning rippled all around him.
Belle swung down her blade. Closing her eyes, mana started gathering around the tip.
Slowly, the blade started to glow a bright hollow glow, crawling from the tip, all the way down to the hilt.
The entire sword was coated in a bright glow. The point of the blade suddenly extended and Belle opened her eyes.
At that, Belle kicked the ground and headed for the man—who was facing off against four mages.
Ivan blinked in front of Lumian.
The man’s blade swung down and Ivan dodged. But as soon as he did, another strike headed for him.
But it was then when Ivan caught the man’s blade, blood dripping down his palms. Clenching the sword, it began to crack and Ivan gripped the man’s throat all of a sudden.
“Now, General!”
Belle nodded and her sword thrusted through the man’s chest, piercing his heart.
“Kuh…!”
Blood poured down the man’s mouth and Belle twisted the blade on his chest.
“Still a bitch—Khh…”
“Quiet.”
How was he even still talking?
Belle narrowed her eyes and glared at the man, her blade sinking deeper.
“You forgot your… old buddy, huh—Khh…”
“You know this man, General?”
Ray—who froze the man’s leg, encapsulating his entire leg in the process, asked.
“No.”
Belle shook her head.
“I’m saddened.”
But despite the words he said, he was contradicting as his lips pulled to an ominous wide grin. Blood smeared his teeth as it continued pouring down his mouth.
“Don’t tell me… you’ve forg–otten… Lucas Freyden… The man you fu–ckers abandoned.”
“….”
A sense of familiarity washed over Belle as her eyes widened.
Lucas Freyden.
The name was familiar.
No, she knew exactly who he was.
It was one of her closest friends, back when she was studying overseas.
But that didn’t make any sense.
Lucas was dead.
And the man in front of her held no resemblance to the Lucas she knew.
But the way he spoke to her had told her the story she didn’t know.
He was Lucas.
And he was alive.
She suddenly recalled the memories she had when she went overseas.
—Hey, you’re the transfer student, right?
—Is your hair real?
—Oh, you have a younger brother back home?
—I don’t think he hates you.
—See you tomorrow, Belle.
This.
That.
The experiences she had in that country. Lucas was there with her when she was still quite new.
Her very first friend.
But it was during her last year, when Lucas suddenly disappeared.
They were memories she buried deep in her thoughts.
It was high time she forgot about that place.
She didn’t have too many fond memories of the country. It was heavily military focused.
And since Belle had a military background, the academy seemed unwilling to let her go.
But Belle didn’t want to serve a country she wasn’t even born in.
And with the fact that she had received an invitation to attend Astrea, when Belle decided to go back home, right after graduating, and pursued her studies there.
Then that country…
It was the one trying to invade them.
No, it wasn’t a country at all.
It was a whole different continent.
Milis Continent.
Belle’s expressions cracked. She pulled the sword and kicked Lucas down. Lucas fell down and Belle stepped on him.
Lucas.
Her thoughts about him completely changed.
He was the one who severed Brandon’s arm.
And an arm…
Slash—!
For an arm.
“Gahhh!”
But that wasn’t enough.
He had to die.
Slash—!
“Kuhhh!”
Another arm. Blood splattered in the air and smeared Belle’s cheek.
“Disgusting.”
She muttered, glaring at Lucas.
But it was then when Lucas suddenly screamed.
“You have my full permission, Lord Ezekiel!”
