The Nightmare… Part-2.
A gigantic demon spider fell from the sky and landed right in front of Mark and the others.
Its aura was so strong that it immediately made all students feel terrified.
“Grade-4 monster!?” (Mark)
[Grade-5 Shadow Magic: Hollow barrier!]
Risa brought out her wand from her space ring and immediately cast a small shadow barrier to Cover Mark in it.
[Grade-5 Shadow Magic: Shadow Swap!]
Before Mark could even react, Risa swapped his position with the shadow of a flower pot placed near the wall of the stadium.
The spider’s sharp pointed feet pierced the spot where Mark had standing just a second ago and caused the ground to crack instantly.
A massive shockwave created by that attack swept away all the nearby students including Risa and Mark’s three lackeys.
*KEHEKEHEKHE*
Abella’s evil laugh rang out throughout the area as she watched the people below make fearful expressions.
“Yes! Fear me! AH!! THIS IS THE BEST FEELING!!” (Abella)
Abella’s face turned slightly red as she saw people looking at her with fear and anxiety. (She’s messed up in her head…)
“That’s enough!” (Nathan)
Nathan brought out his cane from the space ring and immediately cast teleportation.
A smile appeared on Abella’s face seeing the teleportation spell’s magic circle.
“You think I will just stand and watch!?” (Abella)
[Summon: Mutated Space fiend!]
A massive worm with dark black scales and a disgusting gooey liquid covering its whole body appeared out of the magic circle.
With the appearance of the worm, the space-time fabric instantly solidified and the teleportation magic lost effect.
Nathan’s facial expression became solemn as he watched his magic circle get broken.
“You came well prepared it seems…” (Nathan)
“Kehkehkehe! Of course! I came well-prepared to kill you today! Letting me go that day was your biggest mistake!” (Abella)
Abella touched her broom and dark red blood started to flow out of the broom, the tortured souls howled in agony as they were used to summon Abella’s pets.
[Forced Summon: Bone titan!]
A gigantic magic circle appeared in the sky and a titan the size of a skyscraper appeared out of the gigantic magic circle.
The bones of the titan shined with condensed miasma and the bone sword in its hand started to spread corruption everywhere instantly.
All the professors present at the scene immediately went ahead to fight with the summoned monsters but that gigantic titan was out of their capabilities too.
Nathan’s eyes widened as he saw the bone titan slowly moving towards him.
“A grade-1 summon!?” (Nathan)

The sky got covered with dark clouds as if even the weather was in control of that titan.
The principal gritted his teeth.
[Grade-4 Wind Magic: Fly!]
The principal elevated himself into the sky and glared at Abella with a serious expression on his face.
“Last warning Abella, I can let you fight with me, but not here! Let’s move the battlefield!” (Nathan)
“GAHAHAHA! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE! I take no orders from anyone except my benevolent god!” (Abella)
The gigantic titan immediately swung its massive sword at Nathan and the wind pressure from its sword swing alone swept away several clouds in the air.
[Grade-2 Spatial Magic: Spatial gate!]
Using a massive amount of mana, Nathan opened a massive spatial gate.
The titan’s sword entered the gate and appeared from the space behind the head of the titan.
Nathan had linked the spatial gate to the space behind the titan’s head, thus when the sword moved it directly struck the titan on its head itself.
Causing the Titan to lose balance for a moment and fall to the ground.
“Hoh! So you can still use your space magic with this space fiend being here?” (Abella)
Abella waved her hand and three more space fiends in the shape of worms appeared.
The space-time fabric solidified even further after their appearance.
“KEHEKHEKHE, NOW YOU CAN’t use any space-related magic below grade-1!” (Abella)
Space fiends are worm-shaped organisms, they are extremely rare, and they are so rare that finding even one of them is like winning a lottery, but Abella currently has four of them, which shows the effort she has put into finding them.
The main ability of these types of creatures is to solidify the space-time fabric in a certain range.
This means the Space-type magicians will be extremely restricted in the presence of these creatures.
Moreover, the mana in the air will also become solidified thus reducing the strength of the spells cast by the magicians in that particular area.
Abella knew that the principal was most skilled at space magic and his other magic was not that strong, that is why she prepared all this just to restrict Nathan.
The battle between two magicians is all about ‘who can exploit the weakness of the opponent more creatively…’ and Abella has done it very thoroughly.
…
Just when the gigantic spider was about to attack Risa with its pointed feet, a massive stone in the shape of an arrow hit the spider and caused a small wound on its stomach.
[Grade-5 Stone Magic: Stone Arrow!]
(Don’t underestimate this simple attack, the speed of this gigantic stone arrow was nearly the same as a bullet fired from a sniper rifle… yet it did negligible damage…)
The spider immediately got angered by that sneak attack and immediately fired a massive thread-like substance from her back toward Mark.
[Grade-5 Stone Magic: Stone wall!]
The thread-like substance instantly collided with the wall and broke it apart easily as if the stone wall was made of cardboard.
[Basic-Magic: Float!]
Still, the wall gave Mark enough time to cast a basic level spell and he immediately floated in the air, successfully avoiding the attack without getting injured.
“Mark! Don’t stay here! Run! I will distract the spider!” (Risa)
Mark simply ignored her words as he didn’t want to abandon her behind.
He knew that Risa had swapped his position earlier because she wanted him to run away from this place, but he didn’t want to agree with her.
‘I won’t run away, If I ran away today, I would not be able to call myself a genius anymore…’ (Mark)
The Mark in the original game’s timeline was a competitive and mischievous guy who always opposed the protagonist at every choice, but now that Mark has started thinking of Jareth as his idol, Mark’s view of the world has changed a lot.
‘If I can’t face the monsters like him, will I still be able to surpass him one day?’ (Mark)
Mark has seen Jareth face overwhelming monsters without batting an eye, he also wants to follow in Jareth’s footsteps.
[Grade-5 Earth Magic: Mud coils!]
The ground beneath the gigantic spider instantly turned into mud and tentacles made of mud instantly wrapped around the spider to restrict its movements.
Even while restricted by the mud, the spider still forcefully started to move towards Mark in anger.
‘Of course, you won’t be done in by just this…’ (Mark)
[Grade-5 Stone Magic: Stone Rain!]
Ten small magic circles appeared beside Mark and started to firestone bullets at the spider at a speed much faster than bullets fired by a Gatling gun!
The Spider tried to resist the raining stones by covering its eyes with its front legs, but before it could even raise its legs, Risa seized this golden opportunity instantly.
[Grade-5 Shadow Magic: Shadow Binding!]
A thick shadow rope bound the spider’s front legs and stopped it from covering its mouth and eyes.
Mark didn’t miss either, his stone bullets directly hit the eyes of the spider instantly blinding it.
Other students were not idiots either, they also came over to help.
Airin placed her wand on the ground.
[Grade-6 Wood Magic: Suffocating Tree Bindings!]
Allen the protagonist finally came in clutch and cast his wind magic to make the Spider open its mouth forcefully.
Then Aiza and Allen both fired intense Fire magic into the mouth of the spider together.
[Fire Magic: Combination Spell: Fire Beam!]
With the efforts of all the students combined they finally managed to defeat the demon spider before their mana ran out.
With the combined efforts, they burned the spider from the inside out, killing it in the most horrible way possible.
“Phew~” (Mark)
Mark heaved a sigh of relief as he wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Just when he was about to wave his hand at Risa to thank her for the help, the body of the spider started to twitch all of a sudden.
Gigantic tentacles made of miasma broke out of its body and started to wriggle violently.
In the shocked eyes of the students, the dead spider slowly got up as miasma started to cover its whole body.
“It’s turning into a zombie!?” (Mark)
Just when Mark and the other students were about to collapse under its massive aura, a condensed icicle came flying and directly froze the whole spider on the spot.
Before the students could react, the frozen ice broke apart, killing the spider inside in an instant.
“You kids, evacuate now, we professors have evacuated most of the civilians, now you guys should leave too…” (Shin)
Blood dripped from Shin’s forehead and even his whole body was smeared in monster blood, yet his face remained as calm as always.
