Broken! Mana Singularity is too broken! Part-2.
The enigmatic cult known as “False Dome” established a death squad, of which Jacob and Lucas were both a part.
Lucas and Jacob were orphans who were living a normal and peaceful life free from any worries; however, it is possible that their luck was just too bad on ‘that’ day.
In the middle of the night, the followers of the False Dome cult abducted both of them and took them away.
Due to the fact that they were only seven years old, both of them were completely defenseless against the members of the cult, and there was no way for them to escape easily.
The subsequent events consisted of a horrifying form of torture and an endless series of experiments.
Hundreds of excruciating experiments were carried out on the twins by the crazed leader of the cult, who was obsessed with the idea of combining miasma with living humans while also trying to reduce the negative effects of the process.
Out of the thousand kidnapped children, only five of the children who were kidnapped from all over the empire were able to stay alive by the time the experiment was over.
Some passed away as a result of failed experiments, while others died as a result of shock, heart attack, or internal bleeding.
Even among the five children who survived the experiment, they had all been subjected to severe mental traumas, which caused their minds to enter a state of shock and prevented them from ever maturing beyond their initial age.
Because of this, Lucas and Jacob’s minds were still those of children, despite the fact that their bodies had already reached the age of twenty by this point.
Currently, the leader of the cult maintains a death squad consisting of these five individuals who are mentally disabled.
From time to time, he dispatches them to carry out the assassinations of influential individuals.
If they are somehow able to survive, a teleportation circle will materialize with the purpose of transporting them back to the primary base.
Following that, the leader of the cult heals them and puts them to use once more.
There is no end to this cycle unless they pass away while on some mission.
Among the five children who managed to escape alive, two had already passed away while on their mission, and two more passed away today as a result of Jareth’s onslaught on them.
There is only one of them who is still alive at this time.
…
‘If my memory serve me right… Jacob and Lucas were late-game mini-bosses; if you kill one of them, the other one will power up and attack you like crazy with their increased strength….’ (Jareth)
It is possible that if you kill any of the brothers, the brother who is still alive will absorb the strength of the brother who has passed away through the soul connection that exists between them.
This will make the fight against the boss more challenging.
A great number of players encountered quite a bit of difficulty when battling these two in the game.
While it is true that you are unable to stop the ‘cut scene’ in the game in which one brother absorbs another, this was not exactly the case in real life.
As soon as Jareth laid eyes on the two of them earlier, he immediately began formulating a strategy in his head.
So, in order to prevent the power from being absorbed, Jareth utterly destroyed Lucas’s body into nothingness and transformed it into fly ash.
Nothing was left behind as a result of such intense bombardment, which caused the energy that was contained within Lucas’s dead body to disperse before it could even be absorbed by Jacob.
“However, that dark phase was actually quite unexpected, even for me.” (Jareth)
As this is the real world now, everything is open to new possibilities, and by preventing Jacob from absorbing the power of his brother, Jareth triggered one such unique possibility.
The cult leader’s experiments led to Jacob’s partial fusion with the miasma; however, it was impossible for Jacob to fully meld with the miasma without his mental health deteriorating severely.
There was a small amount of sanity that Jacob maintained for the sake of his younger brother, Lucas.

However, after Lucas passed away, Jacob lost his sanity, and miasma took control of his entire body, which corrupted him from the inside out.
‘Thankfully, I now possess mana singularity, if it weren’t for that glowing orb, I would have had to use the attack enhancement card…’ (Jareth)
Non-attributed magic, also known as basic magic, can’t fight against miasma in an effective manner.
Jareth’s mana beams would have had no effect on Jacob, even if he had bombarded him like he did on Lucas.
It would have been possible for Jareth to effectively counter miasma if he had used his fire magic, but unfortunately, his fire magic was not powerful enough to accomplish that.
“Well, it’s a good thing that I was able to save the attack enhancement card; it’s better to keep such a good thing safe, after all, who knows when I will end up in another trouble-” (Jareth)
*Boom!*
A huge beam of condensed miasma came flying and hit the ground fifty meters ahead of Jareth.
This caused a significant amount of debris to fly into the air.
“D*mn you! old fox!”
In the sky above the university, Abella, the nightmare, appeared and Nathan seemed to be pursuing her.
Abella waved her hand and a dark magic circle fired a massive beam made of condensed maisma towards the principal.
In an effort to eliminate the miasma beam that was coming from Abella’s magic broom, the principal waved his wand and constructed a massive spatial gate.
Once more, Abella’s beam was teleported away and landed on the ground close to Jareth.
Shin, along with the other professors, appeared in the sky and landed close to Jareth, when he was uncertain about what was happening.
Shin’s expression changed to one of skepticism when he realized that Jareth had not sustained any injuries at all.
“Did they not attack the university?” (Shin)
To that question, Jareth responded with his usual arrogant tone:
“Hmph, of course it got attacked, you guys are so slow and useless that I ended up killing the attackers on my own…” (Jareth)
Following that, Jareth looked at the other professors with a disdainful expression on his face and pointed to the two piles of ashes nearby.
The mocking tone that Jareth used caused Shin to become instantly enraged, and blood vessels began to appear on his face.
“Tch! We had a difficult time with it too, you know!… We had to deal with an endless number of grade two and grade three monsters… because that d*mn witch bounced so many summons on us out of nowhere!” (Shin)
Even Thomas nodded his head in acknowledgement at Shin’s words.
“Yes, despite the fact that the grade-2 monsters in her arsenal are much weaker, the total number of them is still quite substantial…” (Thomas)
The excuses that both of them offered were completely disregarded by Jareth, who instead came up with a question of his own.
“In that case, how did the battlefield move to this location in the first place?” (Jareth)
Jareth slightly glanced in the direction from where two grade 1’s came from, and sure enough, several of the civilian houses were completely destroyed in that direction.
This means Nathan and Abella have caused the deaths of many people as a result of their battle’s collateral damage.
Shin noticed Jareth’s gaze and realized what he was thinking about.
“As the principal pursued Abella through the air, we made every effort to reduce the number of casualties as much as possible…” (Shin)
“However, there were still some powerful attacks that were able to penetrate our defenses and result in the deaths of a great number of innocent people…” (Shin)
Thomas glanced at Jareth and said in a solemn tone:
“Earlier, when you used that strange purification spell, the bone titan and other monster summoned by Abella were suppressed for a few seconds, that gave the principal a great opportunity to counterattack…” (Thomas)
“He was able to deal with that bone titan because your spell suppressed that bone titan…. By the way, what kind of spell was that?” (Thomas)
“Considering that you are a professor yourself… are you not aware that it was nothing more than basic grade magic?” (Jareth)
“Well… it certainly did look like the ‘glowing mana orb’… but I have never seen such a massive glowing mana orb…” (Thomas)
Before Thomas could ask anything else, Shin intervened in the conversation.
“Ugh… don’t think too much about it… this guy’s spells are all so mutated… it was same with that dragon roar spell back in the dungeon too…” (Shin)
“He seems to be obsessed with practicing low-level spells to the extreme…” (Shin)
The misunderstanding that Shin has of Jareth is that ‘he is a magic freak who enjoys practicing low-level spells to the point of extremes.’
According to him, the reason why Jareth’s low-level spells are so powerful is because he has practiced them to the point where they are beyond their limit.
‘Only insane people could make such a decision… Despite his outward appearance, he may be a complete maniac on the inside…’ (Shin)
Even was also quite impressed after hearing Shin’s words.
‘Indeed, low level spells are easy to cast and take less time and mana; moreover, if you practice them to the extreme, like Jareth… they might really become as lethal as any other grade-2 spells…’ (Thomas)
Unaware of the inner conflicts of the professors, Jareth, who had technically cheated his way to the top, was experiencing a lot of internal conflict at the moment.
‘Ugh… I spent an excessive amount of mana on those enormous mana beams; it will take a few more minutes to replenish it to its full capacity…’ (Jareth)
*Boom!* *Crack!* *Crack!*
Just as Jareth thought things were slowly coming to an end, massive tree vines burst out of the main building of the university,
A figure that was dressed in a dark black robe flew out of the building like a cannonball and collided with the walls of the building that was on the other side.
The ground beneath Jareth’s feet began to rumble all of a sudden, and thick tree roots began to emerge from the ground at a speed that was visible to the naked eye.
[Basic Magic: Float!]
In order to avoid being struck by those tree roots, Jareth immediately flew into the air, and the other professors followed suit shortly after.
“This is… Professor Aria’s magic!” (Thomas)
“Oh wait! That black shadow… Why does it look similar to Abella!? Is that a clone!?” (Shin)
As Jareth watched the scene devolve into chaos once more, he couldn’t help but feel irritated in his mind.
‘Ah sh*t! here we go again!’ (Jareth)
