Chaos and Plans… Part-2.
Abella slaughtered a whole city overnight, and the entire nation became active.
All of the government’s higher-ranking officials received emergency messages.
Every registered Grade 3 or higher level individual received an emergency message from the government.
Abella’s unrestrained murder of thousands of civilians was a slap in the face of the nation’s guardians.
The media immediately covered this shocking news, and people organized massive protest groups to wake up the government and ask them for an explanation.
The Blaze family was the first to bear the brunt of this incident, as Artavia was their territory, and so many casualties happened under their surveillance.
The government immediately organized a meeting with Nathan and promised him a lot of benefits in exchange for hiring him to deal with this problem.
The government certainly possesses weapons such as mana-powered nuclear bombs, but they prefer to use them as last resort methods.
These weapons not only create chaos in the area but also pollute it with radiation, rendering the area uninhabitable for hundreds of years.
Thus, it’s better to hire a grade-1 mage instead of using such destructive weapons on fertile land.
Nathan was happy to accept the request.
Although he got enough resources from Reynald, who will deny more free resources?
He was already planning to defeat Abella, as she had been the main reason he had to sell his secret spell, and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.
The government representatives also sent their ministers to ask Reynald for help, but Reynald simply declined the offers.
The royal family itself controls half the ‘GDP’ of this entire nation, so there’s no way that Reynald could be swayed by money.
Unless Abella directly attacks the vassals of the royal family, Reynald won’t take any action against her, as there’s no profit in it for him.
In fact, his weapon-making factories will profit if a full-scale war happens, so he wasn’t going to interfere at all.
…
Official Chatgroup.
Principal: “I have accepted a commission from the government to enter the battle against Abella the ‘Nightmare’; all of the willing professors can accompany me to the battle.”
Shin_Isaz: “No way, I am not going; my favorite anime, ‘Doki Doki Moe’, is going to release soon.”
Principal: “Those who will participate in this battle will get a massive bonus and a free vacation trip to the beach!”
Shin_Isaz: “Count me in!!”
Thomas: “I am in…”
Aria: “I will go too!”
Aside from the three, other professors were still hesitating to choose, but then another message came.
Jareth_the_Goat: “I shall accompany you in this battle too, then… By the way, who changed my nickname?”
Everyone ignored Jareth’s complaint about someone changing his nickname and decided to join the battle as soon as they saw Jareth enter it.
Not all of them are strong; some, like Aria, are on the weaker side, but as long as Jareth is leading their group, they have nothing to fear.
(They are misunderstanding that he is extremely strong and can protect them all…)

Principal: “All students who want to experience real military combat can also tag along!”
The government will fund this battle, deploy the army, and allow students to accompany the soldiers if they wish to experience real combat in the army.
This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to improve their combat knowledge.
Allen: “I will go!”
How can the protagonist stay out of such a high-profile event? Of course, Allen will be going.
And with Allen, his future harem will also tag along.
Mark and Risa also agreed to participate in this battle because they knew Jareth would be there and didn’t need to worry about safety.
(Everyone is placing their trust in a real fraud… how ironic…)
Aside from these few students, not many agreed to join this battle, as they all knew how dangerous things could become.
Only talented and strong people like Mark could jump into battle without worrying; others don’t have the same amount of courage as them.
…
Artavia, destroyed city, central area.
Norton got up from the meditative state and nodded his head towards Abella, who was sitting on her repaired magic broom.
“They have started to move… I hacked into the government servers…. I have figured out all of their plans…”
Norton’s abilities are not limited to combat only, he has special skills that can interfere with the internet on a deeper level.
Not only did he figure out the secret military plans beforehand, he also saw the conversations in Ivan’s official chat group at the higher arcane university.
“I can take care… of the grade 2… But I am not… sure about, Jareth Blaze…”
Norton might be undead, but even he has a basic thought process.
Not only is fire magic a big weakness of all undead-type monsters, but Jareth himself is quite strong.
Thus, even Norton was not sure if he could deal with him.
Abella will be busy with the principal, so she also doesn’t have the time to deal with others.
Just as the two of them were contemplating in their minds, a young girl wearing an assassin’s robe walked out of the shadows and spoke in a calm voice.
“Leave him to me… I am proficient in assassinating grade 2 or below-level mages…”
Upon hearing the girl’s words, Abella nodded her head in agreement.
“I see, so you want to take revenge for those two other members of your squad?”
The girl nodded her head.
“Yeah, he killed my younger brothers…. He must pay for what he did to them…”
Norton shook his head and said, in his usual hoarse voice,
“If you use… ‘that’ ability on him, you will also die…”
The assassin girl nodded her head and replied with a determined tone.
“It doesn’t matter… As a member of the death squad, I don’t fear death…”
Unlike other Death Squad members, she has always been the sanest of them all.
And she has always tried to protect the other members of her squad, but now that they are all dead, it is her duty to avenge them.
…
In an unknown location, a hidden church.
The eyes of the gigantic demonic statue shone, and an evil and beastly voice resounded throughout the church.
“How are things progressing… I have limited patience; if you take too long, I will leave this place…”
Hearing his benevolent god’s voice, the cult leader kowtowed to the statue and replied in an excited tone.
“Everything is going as planned! All pieces are in place! Soon you can manifest your incarnation on this land!”
Hearing those words, the devilish whisper resounded in the church once again. This time, the other party seemed in a much better mood.
“HAHA, GOOD! GOOD!, Once my incarnation manifests, I will be able to pinpoint the weak spots of this seal accurately!”
The cult leader nodded his head and replied,
“Yes! Then we won’t need to worry about the records in the hidden library of the university… We can open the seal without them!”
Upon hearing the cult leader’s words, the devilish whisper spoke.
“FOOL! Don’t underestimate this seal! The ‘Bearer of the Promised Destiny’ himself cast this seal! The only way to open this seal is to find the ‘key’ and open it from inside!”
After receiving a reprimand from his god, the cult leader bowed once more to acknowledge his error.
In an instant, the demonic statue’s glow vanished, leaving behind only a rough voice.
“Just keep going with the current plan; there is no need to rush.”
The cult leader got up from the ground, and his dark, mist-covered body disappeared in the darkness once again.
…
Royal Palace, Throne Room.
Reynald suddenly glanced in a certain direction and frowned a bit.
‘Hmm… this sudden disturbance in the ‘flow’ of the world’s space-time fabric?… Something’s not right… Something just interfered with the ‘flow’…’
Reynald was the only person who was able to sense the sudden disturbance in the space-time fabric. (It was created by the astral projection of the demon god….)
But what he sensed was too vague, he even mistook it to be a regular fluctuation created by someone’s teleportation magic for a moment.
‘Strange…’
Although Reynald was unaware of what was happening, he had a bad premonition about all this.
And the premonition of a grade 1 mage is usually very accurate.
Reynald shook his head and thought to himself.
‘Mark, grow up soon; I have a bad feeling about this… The human race can’t always remain in a state of degradation like this… We need someone who can forge the path ahead…’
Reynald knew about the seals of ‘False and Hidden Dome’; he also knew the true nature of this world.
All first-grade individuals in this world are aware of how fickle the existence of the human race actually is.
‘Our only salvation is the new realm… Without that, there’s no future for the human race…’
Reynald shook his head and got up from his throne, and decided to take a walk outside to lighten his heavy mood.
‘In the face of the ‘authority’ of the gods… mortals are just weak ants in the end…’
Reynald walked towards the back garden of the palace and admired the flowers that were blooming in the garden with a relaxed look on his face.
Seeing the gardeners working peacefully with smiles on their faces, Reynald could feel both the ‘simplicity and complexity’ of life at the same time.
Staring at the setting sun, a thought came to Reynald’s mind.
{Sometimes ignorance of certain truths is the best way to live a happy life. Some truths are never meant to be known by the world of mortals, as they do more harm than good…}
