Hotel Main Gate.

“Sigh~ where is she? She was so excited over the date, and now she’s late… ugh… I would have gone on that training session instead if I knew about this…”

Despite the exemption from the training session for those who fought in Artavia, they still have the option to participate at their own discretion.

Mark, being a training maniac, was feeling that it’s a waste that he had to miss the training session.

“But then again, even if I join it… Professor Jareth isn’t going to overlook the training, so it’s pointless…”

In Mark’s opinion, only Jareth qualifies as a true mage. His personality and power suit that of a real cold and powerful wizard who only does whatever he wants.

Mark wants to become like that in the future.

His excessive obsession with magic is also one of the reasons why he doesn’t like to hang out with friends and go to parties.

He’s just too busy getting stronger, and he usually has no time to waste on random stuff.

For others, partying and going on trips is a way to enjoy and relax, but for Mark, learning about and training his magic is a way to relieve stress.

He’s basically a workaholic; he’s gotten so used to staying tensed and stressed that now he feels weird if he sits down to relax and thinks that it’s a waste of time.

If not for the fact that Risa has been pestering him for a long time, he wouldn’t have had contact with a woman in his whole student life.

Just when Mark was contemplating the training session in his mind, Risa arrived.

A luxury hotel like this obviously has a cabinet packed with beautiful dresses, so Risa was able to find one that suited her easily.

She wore a pure white gown; her long black hair waved in the air; and a pinkish-white hat adorned her head.

Just looking at her, you can tell she put a lot of effort into getting ready.

Unlike her usual self, when she gives off a distant aura, she looks cute and beautiful today.

Even Mark was surprised by her.

And seeing that shocked look on his face, a smug smile appeared on Risa’s face.

‘Hmph! Told you! Once I make up my mind, I can do anything!’

Risa walked over to Mark’s side, crossed her hands, and said in a smug tone,

“So, how do I look?”

When she realized that Mark was pleased to see her in those clothes, the smugness on her face intensified, and she said,

“Well, if you promise to go on dates regularly from now on, I might dress up for you like this more often~”

The bus arrived for them at that moment, and they immediately boarded it.

Mark and Risa are indeed rich, but they are here on a trip, so they didn’t bring any cars or bodyguards with them.

Just the two of them, so they decided to take the public transport to go to their destination.

Their first destination was a giant museum.

After about fifteen minutes of traveling via bus, the two of them arrived at the most famous museum in the port city of Urona.

“You like museums and stuff, so I just picked this one…”

Hearing Mark’s words, Risa glanced at the tall museum building and nodded her head.

Then she noticed an ice cream stall nearby and dragged Mark there with her. Both of them ended up buying the same flavor of ice cream before entering the museum.

While walking towards the museum through the garden area, Risa nibbled on the ice cream and even got some on her face.

Mark shook his head and brought out his handkerchief to wipe her face clean.

“Eat slowly, young lady… No one’s going to run away with your ice cream…”

With a pout on her cheeks, Risa responded.

“Hmph, who knows, What if a certain golden butterfly snatched it away from me…”

Hearing those cryptic words, Mark shook his head and said them with a complicated expression on his face.

“Surely that golden butterfly doesn’t have the courage to steal the ice cream from the mouth of a fierce black cat…”

At Mark’s words, Risa glanced at the massive statue of a mermaid placed in the middle of the garden and said,

“That golden butterfly is strong, though…. I wonder if the black cat will be able to even compete with it…”

At those words, Mark could only smile, as he knew that Risa was praising him.

“Well, the black cat is of good nature; maybe the golden butterfly will like to maintain a good relationship with her…”

Hearing Mark’s words, Risa stretched out her small hand and didn’t say anything, but Mark understood what she wanted.

Thus, he also raised his hand and held her small hand without hesitation.

She had already put in so much effort for this date that it would be rude of him to deny her efforts now.

While walking after holding her hand, Mark could feel that the garden’s scenery appeared to have brightened up more.

‘This isn’t that bad either, I guess… I might actually like this feeling…’

Mark is a battle junkie; he fights with training golems in the training area all day long. Rarely does he ever relax.

But today, Risa made him realize that he was missing out on life a lot. Aside from training, there is such a vast and colorful world outside waiting for him to explore.

‘Perhaps I should go on a journey to explore the world one day in the future… Well, if she agrees, I don’t mind bringing her with me either…’

At that moment, both of them thought the exact same thing in their minds, and that was,

‘I hope that every day can be as happy and peaceful as today…’

Flower petals flew in the air and added more charm to the scenery; maybe even the flowers had agreed to their words that day.
