First Demonic Dragon - Chapter 920
Chapter 920: Izanami Rehabilitated
A gong resounded from somewhere deep within the golden city.
As it’s dull ringing resounded out for everyone to hear, flocks of divine beings left their dwellings by the fistfuls with their weapons in hand and their anxiety at an all time high.
The gods rushed to the golden bridge, expecting to find the demon army led by Percival at their front door.
To their dubious surprise, what awaited them was not the threat they had been so heavily warned about, but the one they had forgotten about.
A large, grey beast stood at the front of the bridge before the gatekeeper.
It’s jaw unhinged to spew a torrent of sinister violent flames into the air to voice it’s agitation. When it put it’s head back down, everyone could see the woman standing around nonchalantly on it’s back.
Several deities blushed at the indecency of her attire.
She wore a flowing, dark green robe of the same color as wild grass. Her long flowing sleeves were adorned with golden dragons into the dreamily soft fabric.
Her robe was left open and untied, barely hiding her breasts and exposing the tattoos that seemed to cover a great deal of her body.
From the waist down, she wore a golden skirt with a sizeable slit along the side to expose her left leg.
Though her feet were bare, she wore golden bangles on her ankles that bore sparkling red gems too precious to be categorized as rubies.
While standing at the front gate, she needed her fingers together absentmindedly. Her gaze was towards the numerous gods in the sky who had come to defend their home from her perceived threat.
‘So skittish… I didn’t even do anything.’ Izanami almost seemed offended.
Suddenly, there was a whooshing sound and Izanami’s vision was filled with the backs of winged soldiers.
“Lay down your arms! Further antagonization will result in swift and immediate action being taken!”
Sarutahiko blinked as he pointed a trembling finger at the dragons defending Izanami.
“H-Have you any idea who this woman is..? She is-”
“Someone you are going to allow to pass peacefully. Barring her is the same as standing in the way of the-”
A huge ball of sunfire suddenly burst into view.
From it’s bright, orange flames, Amaterasu appeared as a grandiose vision.
When she saw the reason the alarm had been rung, her hostile demeanor faded instantly and was replaced by slight annoyance.
Izanami just waved at her innocently.
“…” A vein bulged in Amaterasu’s forehead.
“…You shouldn’t be here.” She finally said.
“I don’t see why not.” Izanami shrugged.
“…” Amaterasu pointed to the panic Izanami’s mere arrival had caused.
“…In my defense, I didn’t actually do anything to anyone. Your grandson is the one responsible for sounding the alarm at my arrival.”
Sarutahiko became flustered. “T-That’s because you-”
Amaterasu held up her hand, and the guardian god instantly fell silent.
She snapped her fingers, and the gong within the city finally stopped ringing. Drowning the heavenly plane in a tense silence.

Izanami shifted her weight from foot to foot like she was uncomfortable from being stared at. “So… Are you going to let me in?”
Amaterasu pointed to Gandora. “Not going to use her to barge in?”
Gandora looked back at Izanami and gave her a proud look that said ‘I’ll knock all of this shit over!’
Izanami smiled wryly as she reached out to pet her. “That’s not really what we’re here for. I don’t want to cause trouble for you or anyone here.”
Amaterasu raised a brow. “Then if I tell you to go home?”
“I will go home.” Izanami answered as if it were obvious.
“Then go home.”
“Don’t wanna.” Izanami shrugged.
Amaterasu had the strongest urge to use a class of language that she considered to be extremely unbefitting of a noble lady of her standing.
Nevertheless, her mother was very close to dragging that kind of unflattering reaction out of her.
“What game are you playing at..?” Amaterasu asked.
“No games.” Izanami shook her head. “I only came here to talk. We can do that out here if it makes you feel more comfortable.”
Needless to say, Amaterasu definitely didn’t want to stand out here and talk. Especially not in front of the bulk of the Shinto pantheon.
Among the crowd of gods, two of them were more surprised to see Izanami than the others.
One was a large green-skinned demon carrying a windbag. The other was a red-skinned demon with an assortment of drums at his back.
Izanami suddenly felt their gazes and glanced at them. Both immediately averted their eyes from her.
“…Fujin. Raijin. You both look well. Healthy.”
The storm gods winced at the gentle tone of Izanami’s voice. It was a sound that they almost weren’t used to.
“”…H-Hello, Mother…”” The duo responded in unison.
Izanami could only guess that they believed her to be upset with them for not freeing her. She wasn’t. But then again, she knew it would be difficult to convince them, or anyone of that fact.
Instead of worrying about them, she turned her gaze back to Amaterasu, who was still staring at her with a calculating look. “Have you made up your mind?”
Amaterasu’s brow crinkled. After taking her time mulling over several different ideas, she finally opened her mouth to speak.
“What’s going on out here?!”
There was another bright golden flash of light. When the low died down, white-robed Izanagi was floating above the bridge carrying a heavily cracked sword.
Through the exposed gap in his robe, one could see a set of heavily applied bandages covering his chest. His face was also bruised heavily on one side.
Izanami covered her mouth as she snickered.
“Father, you’re supposed to be in bed…” Amaterasu said, an ulcer forming in her ancient mind.
Izanagi didn’t even spare his daughter a glance. His heated gaze was reserved only for his ex-wife at the moment.
“…What is the meaning of this..?”
Izanami didn’t answer. Rather, she looked to Amaterasu to explain.
“…Mother has come here to..” She began.
“That creature is not your mother!” Izanagi snapped. “You have no mother!”
The creator god turned to the heavenly army still waiting on standby.
“Why are you standing around!? Apprehend her!”
The soldiers looked back and forth between Izanami, the large beast she was standing on, and the winged soldiers hovering above her.
“…”
“…”
“…”
“…GET HER!” Izanagi snapped again.
Gandora roared so loudly that she almost ruptured everyone’s eardrums without even meaning to.
Finally, Izanagi was starting to understand the reasoning for the sudden cowardice of those under him.
But that didn’t mean he liked it.
“Useless..!” He scoffed.
“You seem to be in poor health.” Izanami suddenly said. “I wish I could say that saddened me… but there is little to no value in lying about needless things, is there?”
Izanagi clenched his sword until his knuckles turned white.
He hated the current iteration of his wife. All of her former modesty and decency were a thing of the past.
She was now little more than a disgrace, hiding her grotesque figure behind a shell of a loose woman.
“Enough.” Amaterasu declared. “We will not sit here and needlessly air out our dynamics for public spectacle.
She turned to the sky filled with deities under her command and glared at them. “Leave.”
Even if the gods had wanted to stick around and see what would happen, they couldn’t refuse a direct order from their Queen.
As the bridge became significantly less crowded, Izanagi pointed his blade at his sister.
“Have the dragons sent you to surrender yourself after you ceased to bring them any more amusement..?”
“Does it look as if they’ve had their fill of me?” Izanami looked down at her exposed neck and torso.
Last night’s love bites were still all over her milky pink flesh. From the creases of her neck, to between her breasts and down to her navel. And there were likely far more that he just couldn’t see…
Izanami was under no delusions about the fact that her statements could be considered ‘inflammatory’.
But maybe she was just feeling a little mischievous this fine morning.
“You… disgusting whore..!” Izanagi trembled.
Amaterasu tried to stand in the way of her father before things could devolve further.
“Father, you need to get back in-”
Izanagi shoved Amaterasu roughly to the side. “I will not be bedridden!”
“Don’t push her like that!” Izanami yelled.
“You are not her mother! You are a prisoner who will go in a cage soon enough!!”
The dragons guarding Izanami placed their hands on their weapons.
A man in front who seemed to be the leader of the troupe had already drawn his sword fully but had yet to point it at Izanagi.
Though it seemed clear he was not above doing such a thing either.
“I would strongly advise you to temper your hostility. The price for threatening the royal consort is a heavy one.”
For a moment, Izanami almost forgot that they were talking about her.
If she had a choice, she would prefer not to use Gandora or the soldiers to fight her battles for her.
But then again, it seemed like talking would be way easier if Izanagi were at least incapacitated for a little bit.
‘…No, I shouldn’t make trouble for them.’ Izanami shook her head and banished the thought.
She gave Gandora a tap on the back of the head, and the creature suddenly turned docile.
It lowered it’s head so that Izanami could step down onto the bridge.
“I came here to make one very simple and short declaration. Whether that is all that is done today remains up to you.
From this point on, you may consider me as a criminal who has served her penance. All that I want now is to live my life quietly with my family without bringing harm to another person ever again.
But if you attempt to have me apprehended again, I can promise you that you will not have to fear anyone’s wrath but my own. And it will be a more terrible storm than any you could possibly imagine.”
