Chapter 130: Heart To Heart Talk
Over the next hour, Amelia floated in a cloud of confusion, passion and ecstasy. She was both overwhelmed and intoxicated by her husband’s needs which seemed to be on cloud nine. Everything was happening so fast, giving her little time to think or act sensible.
She was expecting Blaze to at least assess what she had painstakingly gotten from the mart. She was expecting him to talk about her encounter with Pearl and Tina, knowing Pascal would have notified him. But he didn’t do any of those.
All he seemed interested in was ravishing her body which felt both overwhelming and annoying at the same time.
‘What has gotten into this young man?’
Amelia queried her thoughts as Blaze buried himself deeply inside of her, the heat their sweating bodies generated almost consuming her soul.
‘Why was he acting this needy around her for the past four days? Was he stung by a love beetle in the countryside or was this all real like her hidden feelings for him?’
Suddenly, her pounding heart was seized by a crippling fear. So many ‘what ifs’ bubbled from the depth of her heart, as Pearl’s words flashed across her mind.
‘What if he was just using her like Pearl and the rest of her family said? What if he was planning to hurt her? What if he got back with Tina after the end of their contract? What if she got pregnant from his recent carefree sex escapades with her?
The last terrifying question jolted Amelia’s sense of the reality of their lovemaking. Blaze wasn’t using protection on her at the moment. He hadn’t gone for it even though it was in the bedside drawer. In fact, he hasn’t been using it since their first unprotected sex.
This wasn’t right. Everything happening wasn’t right. They have to set boundaries. She could not continue taking birth control pills for the duration of their contract marriage, knowing it could hamper her chances of being a mother in the future.
“Stop…” Amelia heard herself say or was it, moan.
But Blaze seemed to be in another realm. He didn’t seem to hear her neither could he see the panic in her eyes, as he drove her harder.
“Blaze…” Amelia felt overpowered by her senses as she felt him tremble vigorously before finally collapsing on her, panting heavily,
“Blaze…” She tried to push him away from her body, his weight crushing her and the heat radiating from his body, smouldering her.
“Sorry,” Blaze whispered, climbing off her and lying on his back, still trying to catch his breath from the marathon.
“Blaze, we can’t continue like this.” Amelia pulled the sheets to cover her nude body, her eyes teary.
“How do you mean?” Blaze turned to his side, propping his head up on his elbow. He was slightly shocked when he observed her moist eyes. “Hey, what’s wrong? Did I hurt you?” He asked tenderly stroking her arm.
“Yes…No…maybe,” Amelia said in a weak voice, batting her lashes to push back her threatening tears.
“Tell me, what I did and I’ll make amend.” He coaxed her tenderly like a baby.
“You’re been very insensitive towards me, like I’m not a human with emotions.”
Amelia’s words felt like a boa constricting around his heart as he listened to the pain in her voice.
“How!” Blaze asked, staring into her pretty eyes.
“For starters, I came home tired from work and famished but you didn’t take note. All you seemed interested in was having sex with me as if that’s the only thing I’m good at.” Amelia’s tone was slightly harsh.
“No…”
“I’m not done talking.” Amelia cut him off, with all confidence she could muster expecting her to be mad at her. But to her surprise, he wasn’t. Rather he sat up and wore his shorts. Then he made Amelia sit up and face him, his soft touch and calm countenance reassuring her that he was not angry.
“Talk to me.”
“Okay,” Amelia spoke calmly, her initials rage melting. “You need to understand that this marriage isn’t all about sex. There should be defined limits and boundaries that mustn’t be crossed so that neither of us gets hurt when all of this is over.”
“Okay, tell me what boundaries you would like to set.”
Blaze studied Amelia’s features as they morphed into surprise, but then determination appeared in her hazel eyes.

“I don’t mind you asking for my permission before…this…” She gestured between them, her cheeks reddening.
“You mean before we have sex.” Blaze completed her sentence, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
“Yes ”
“Done. What’s next.”
Amelia cleared her throat before stating the next conditions.
“I clearly remember in the contract where you specified that you don’t want children, right?”
“Right.”
“Well, I want to have children in the future and I don’t want to ruin my chances of conception by consuming contraceptive pills anymore.”
Blaze felt like a beast for being so selfish all this while, making her take contraceptives without considering her feelings. He took both her hands into his and apologized genuinely.
“I’m sorry for being insensitive all this while, Amy.”
Amelia felt her heart flutter at the way he called the shortened part of her name tenderly.
“I promise going forward, I will always use protection and put your interest first before my desire. Is there anything more?” Blaze asked, raising his hands to stroke her cheeks.
“Umm…” Amelia swallowed her saliva. “No. That’s all for now.”
“Good. So can we go and shower together before fixing dinner?” Blaze asked standing up from the bed.
Amelia nodded, blushing really hard as he carried her in his arms into the bathroom.
Fifteen minutes later, they were both all dressed and headed for the kitchen downstairs.
Amelia was completely blown away as she stepped foot into the kitchen for the very first time.
This spacious, well-lit section of the villa was beyond luxurious. It was an intricately designed work of art, making it Amelia’s second favourite place in the house after the pool area.
With a sleek, high-end appliance, luxurious marble countertops, custom-built cabinetry, and a large central kitchen island with chairs surrounding it, the kitchen exuded a sense of refined elegance and functionality.
“Good evening, sir and Ma’am.” The house chef, alongside other kitchen workers, greeted politely heads lowered.
