Chapter 141: Apprehensive Aunt
“Did you hit my father on the head and accuse my husband of doing that?”
Jerry’s eyes widened in horror as it slowly darted in Blaze’s direction, who was staring right back at him.
There was something sinister and grotesque about those narrowed darkened grey eyes that made Jerry shrink ten times deeper in his seat, trembling like a jellyfish being tossed around by the wave. It was as though a thousand pointy knives were aimed at him, ready to slice him into bits.
“I think, since this issue involves my husband, I will let him decide how to handle it. My business with you is over. I’m sure your confession will go a long way to coax others into telling the truth.” Amelia casually stood up, ignoring the look of dread on Jerry’s face. She turned to leave when Jerry’s piercing voice stopped her.
“No… please…have mercy on me.” Jerry quickly fell to his knees, stretching out his bloodied hands towards Amelia. “Don’t leave me with him. I don’t want to die. I’m going to be a father. Have mercy.” He wept bitterly.
“Mercy!” Amelia snapped her head backwards, her inflamed eyes shooting laser..”You dare ask me for mercy after everything you’ve done to me, my father and even my husband? You even dare to use an unborn child you called a bastard as a bargaining chip. You must really have some nerves.”
Before Jerry knew what was happening, another fist landed on the other side of his cheek, sending him flying sideways and falling to the floor. He grunted in pain, holding his dislocated jawbone as Amelia vented her rage.
“Maggots like you only deserve to be eaten slowly alive. You deserve to rot in the deepest part of hell for all eternity and I’m going to make sure people like you don’t exist in this world. Welcome to the beginning of your penance and retribution, asshole.” Amelia spat on the floor and walked away.
“Keep him comfortable, before the lawyers arrive,” Blaze said standing up. “I want all the transactions to run smoothly without a hitch. Afterwards, cut off his tongue and chop off all ten of his fingers…”
“No…” Jerry cried out, but a kick to the stomach silenced him as the boss kept talking calmly.
“Make it look a bit messy like a mafia’s work but let him live. When the job is done, drop him off at the Shawls’ gate.”
“With all pleasure, boss.” The two hefty men waited for Blaze to join his wife outside before swinging into action, ushering Jerry into his hell on earth.

The long-awaited day finally arrived with a mixture of excitement, anticipation and a hint of dread for Amelia. She carried on her usual morning routine trying to keep the event of the previous evening at the back of her memory. But something else was eating up her peace of mind, making her jumpy at any sound.
Earlier, she had woken up with a start, screaming out her lungs and sweating profusely, forcing Blaze, -who was downstairs, working on his laptop – to sprint up in a heartbeat.
“It was just a dream.” Blaze had said, holding her close to his chest and stroking her hair. But this dream, no nightmare felt so real like daylight, making it difficult for Amelia to close her eyes until it was morning.
Currently, she was getting ready to leave the villa for the day’s event. Her beautiful dress was on point and the makeup and hair were perfect. She had already worn her shoes and jewelry. All that was left was to simply pick up her clutch from the table dresser and leave the bedroom. But, that same warning bell that had been ringing all morning in her head after that nightmare kept prompting her to pick up her phone and dial her auntie’s number.
“If I call her, what am I going to say to her?” Amelia queried her thoughts as she stared at her beautiful reflection on the vanity mirror. “Aunt Judith, I had a nightmare. Sarah is going to get shot. Don’t let her out of your sight.”
“Amelia, are you not done?” Blaze’s voice echoed from behind the partly closed door.
“Give me a few more seconds,” Amelia replied, tilting her head to look behind as Blaze strolled into the room, looking as handsome as ever in his black tuxedo.
“What’s keeping you, beautiful.” Blaze came up behind her, tenderly stroking her long slender neck while admiring her pretty reflection on the mirror. “You seem a bit tense. Is something the matter?”
“No…” Amelia let out to a deep sigh. “I guess I’m just apprehensive about the unveiling. I don’t want to disappoint my fans and customers. I really want it to be a success.” Amelia lied, not wanting to dwell on the nightmare.
Blaze slowly helped her stand up and made her turn around to face him. “Is that all?” He asked softly, admiring the way the elegant orange silk satin dress, complimented her fair skin tone and accentuated her curves.
“Uh-huh!” Amelia nodded, pouting cutely.
“Then you have nothing to worry about.” He said, stroking her flushed cheeks while staring at those dreamy hazel eyes. “Trust me, everything is going to be fine. Everyone is going to love this new product. You know why?”
Amelia shook her head, beaming.
“Because it’s created by one of the most talented, outstanding, smart, resourceful, hardworking and the most beautiful cosmetologist in the entire world.”
“You do know how to make a girl blush,” Amelia said chuckling.
“At least, you are smiling now. That’s all I want.” Blaze whispered, kissing her on the tip of her nose. “Shall we go or do you want me to carry you downstairs.”

“Don’t worry, I can walk by myself.” Amelia picked up her clutch, and left the bedroom with her husband, forgetting all about her nightmare.
Just like Blaze predicted, the unveiling of LiLa Savvy’s new skincare products went on seamlessly without a hitch.
The event was attended by, Blaze’s family members, most of whom had traveled far and wide to support Amelia. It was also attended by celebrities in the fashion, entertainment and beauty industries, a few politicians linked to the Shawls family, and some of the biggest major players in the business world.
Also in attendance, were all of Amelia’s friends, and fans, who eagerly supported the brand in their own unique ways.
Sadly, none of Amelia’s direct family members were there to support her. The only person who was supposed to attend the event was her aunt Judith.
Unfortunately, Judith was running late, because she had to drop her daughter off at the airport first before making it down to the event.
