Chapter 145: Missing 1
Seated beside her husband in the living room and sharing a glass of red wine with him, Amelia recounted her successes, while watching the recap of the day’s event on television. She was elated and full of smiles as she spoke passionately about some of the high moments of the events, ranging from the huge investment recorded by the company to the large volume of products sold in one day.
Blaze was simply enthralled as he watched her express her excitement animatedly. He admired the way her sparkling eyes reflected the overhead light, making them twinkle like stars in the night sky. He watched the way her full pink lips moved slowly, parting and closing captivatingly as she spoke. He listened to the softness and sweetness of her voice, which felt like a gentle melody, coaxing his senses and feelings with a deep longing for her touch.
“Blaze!” Amelia’s voice echoed through his thoughts.
“Yes.” He looked up to meet her gaze, completely lost.
“I was saying thank you for everything you’ve done to ensure the success of today’s event. You made my day.”
“This is all you, my dear. Nevertheless, you’re welcome.”
“How about a toast?” Amelia said moving closer to him.
“Sure!” Blaze refilled her wine glass to the brim, before refilling his.
“Are you planning to get me drunk?” Amelia eyes him suspiciously.
“Something like that.” Blaze wiggled his eyebrows playfully, making her chuckle.
“Okay…to success!” Amelia raised her glass in the air. “May all our hard work always be rewarded and our dreams realised.”
“To friendship and partnership filled with lots of exciting moments, tolerance and…” Blaze hesitated a little before changing his intended statement. “…. greatness, may we never grow cold towards each other. Cheers!”
They both clinked their glasses and sipped their drink, eyes locked on each other.
Heat crept up to Amelia’s face, making her cheeks redden as Blaze’s lustful gaze intensified. She looked away, blushing really hard, the wine making her feel slightly lightheaded.
Unable to hold back his feelings anymore Blaze gulped down his remaining drink and put the empty wine glass down on the stool. He moved closer to Amelia, forcing her to look up.
“You look incredibly beautiful tonight and I can’t take my eyes off you,” Blaze said, collecting her wine glass from her hand. He helped her finished up her drink and drop the glass on the stool.
“Are you flirting with me, dear husband?” Amelia asked, facing him squarely, her eyes brimming with mischief.
“Maybe,” Blaze replied, stroking her soft golden brown curls and tucking it neatly behind her eyes. “Is it working?”
“Why don’t you kiss me and find out?” Amelia whispered in a sexy voice, biting down on her lower lips flirtatiously.
“With all pleasure.”
Blaze gently lifted her and made her sit on his lap, facing him. He snaked his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to his chest until there was no space between them. “But I plan on doing more than just kissing.” He nuzzled her on her flushed cheeks, making her giggle.
“I’m all yours for tonight.” Amelia raked her fingers through his sleek brown hair, ruffling it a bit. She trembled a little as Blaze traced a finger up the slope of her back to her nape.
“Just for tonight?” Blaze brushed his lips sensually against hers, tasting the wine on her lips and soaking in her warm minty alcoholic breath.
“Maybe tomorrow night if you play nice.” Amelia cooed in a sexy voice.
“Then I will be called Mr Nice Guy from henceforth so I can have you every night,” Blaze said in a husky voice, claiming her lips before she could say anything.
Amelia gently wrapped her arms around his neck, her heart racing and her core tingling as Blaze kissed her deeply, his tongue twirling rhythmically with hers.
Just then, her phone, which was on the side of the couch beside her started ringing.
At first, Amelia ignored the phone, lost in the warmth and temptation of Blaze’s arms. However when the caller persisted, dialling her number a second time, the infuriating sound buzzing, she hissed inwardly and tried to pull away from Blaze.
“Ignore it.” Blaze pleaded in a muffled voice, not wanting to let go of those delicious lips.

“Wait!” Amelia forcefully pulled away from the kiss, her breathing heavy. “Let me just see who is calling. I may not take the call.”
“Alright. Hurry up.” Blaze groaned as she stretched to pick up her phone.
“Michael!” Amelia was surprised to see the caller’s name.
“Who is Michael?” Blaze’s husky voice was laced with a hint of jealousy.
“It’s aunt Judith’s son. Why is he calling me at this odd hour?”
“I don’t know. You can either take the call to find out or call him back later.” Blaze suggested, feeling a bit impatient to continue from where they stopped.
But before Amelia could make up her mind, the call disconnected.
“I think I’ll call him back later.” Amelia dropped the phone and resumed kissing Blaze.
Then came the annoying ringing phone, interrupting them a third time. Blaze was tempted to pick up the phone and smash it on the floor. However, he didn’t make a fuse or stop Amelia when she reached out to grab the phone, neither did he stop kissing her. Rather he trailed his lips down the slope of his slender neck, giving her room to talk.
Amelia swiped the phone screen, biting down on her inner lips to suppress a moan as she said.
“Michael, you better have a good reason for calling me at this odd time.”
“I’m very sorry, Aunt Amelia. I didn’t know who else to call. It’s mom.”
Amelia picked up the panic and tension in Michael’s voice. She could also hear the distant voice of Judith’s husband and some other people in the background.
“Where are you and what is wrong with your mom?”
Blaze instantly stopped what he was doing, when he observed the way her body suddenly stiffened and the tiny trace of panic in her voice.
“I’m at the airport, with Dad and Mom. It seems Sarah has gone missing and we’re trying to convince Mom to remain calm and let the police find her.”
“What!” Amelia sprang up to her feet, almost tripping over the stool behind her if it hadn’t been for Blaze’s highly sensitive reflex. “Sarah is missing!” She half screamed, her widened eyes staring at Blaze in horror.
“Missing!” Blaze’s forehead furrowed.
