Chapter 149: Unknown Enemy 1
After resuscitating both Micheal and Amelia, Blaze got in contact with Hilary (Michael’s father.) and alerted him discreetly, about the situation of things. Both men spoke briefly for a few minutes and agreed that it was best to keep the information contained for Sarah’s sake and Judith’s sanity.
Hilary suggested getting a renowned tracker to help them discreetly locate the kidnapper. This idea was supported by Blaze, who also offered to take charge of the entire rescue operation.
Although Hilary was reluctant to leave the rescue of his daughter in the hands of Blaze, he didn’t have an option, especially with his wife acting all hysterical.
Before leaving to rejoin Amelia, Blaze reassured Hilary of his commitment to rescue Sarah. He promised to use all the resources at his disposal to locate her and Hilary believed him.
After the meeting was concluded, Hillary reached out to his distraught son. He consoled him and encouraged him to remain positive, stressing that his sister would be found.
“What about mom? What are we going to tell her?” Michael asked, his eyes gloomy.
“Leave your mother to me. I will find a way to manage her. Just don’t tell her anything about what you’ve heard over the phone. Okay?”
“Sure, Dad.”
Hilary patted his son on the shoulder trying to keep his own emotions in check for the sake of his family. “Let’s go get your mother and return home.”
Both father and son left for the VIP waiting room upstairs where Judith was peacefully sleeping.
After speaking extensively with the airport police officers in charge of the case, Blaze also left the airport with his heartbroken wife.
The ride back home was silent, shrouded by a melancholic atmosphere, reflecting Amelia’s agony and Blaze’s suppressed rage. He cradled her in his arms like a bruised infant, watching her chest rise and fall, an occasional sniffle reminding him of the pain caused by the bastard, who had dared to threaten her.
So far, none of his top hackers have been able to trace the mysterious caller’s locations. The bastard phone call was untraceable and every attempt at locating Sarah was met with a dead end.
The only information Echo and his team of hackers were able to get within the short period of time given was the picture profile of the dark-skinned lady Sarah befriended on the flight. Sadly, it was later discovered that the lady used a false name and probably a human realistic face mask to disguise her real identity, bringing them back to ground level zero.
“Blaze…” Amelia whispered, her silent tears fall down her reddened cheek.
“Yes,” Blaze replied in a softer voice, looking down to meet her gaze, which was still lowered.
“Have you been able to locate her?”
Amelia’s question hit Blaze on the chest like a boulder falling from the sky, making him feel incompetent at the moment.
“No, but are searching. We will them soon.”
“What if he hurts her before you do?” Amelia lifted her moist reddened gaze to his.
“We just have to stay positive and believe he won’t hurt her.”
“But you can’t trust the words of a madman. He already hurt her and he might do it again just for fun.”
“Hey…Take your mind off those ideas and focus on only positive thoughts. He won’t hurt her. Okay.”
Amelia bit down on her lower lips, nodding her head without responding. She closed her eyes and tried to evoke beautiful memories. But all she could think about was Sarah and all she could hear was her sharp cry begging for help.
When Blaze arrived home with his wife, he took her straight to her bedroom and made her lie down after taking medication to relax her nerves. When he was certain she was fast asleep, he went downstairs, into his noise-proof study, closing the door behind him.
Going behind the desk, he sat down and opened his laptop screen. He logged into his dark web account, – where he was known as the dark Phoenix – and opened up a chat made up of ten dangerous people, around the globe.
These were the same people who secretly stood by him when his father died. They were like his brother in the underworld, ready to bleed by his side, no matter the cost.
[A daredevil had just crossed my path by threatening my wife and insulting me. He currently has my wife’s cousin sister, hostage. I need him found, alive, ASAP. Point of abduction; Mega city.]
Immediately Blaze tapped the enter button on the keyboard, messages started pouring in as though his brothers from hell had been patiently waiting by their system.

Amelia awoke to a startling shrill, reverberating on all four corners of the enclosed room. She sat up, covered in perspiration and breathing heavily, her grip on the bedsheets tightening. Her widened eyes scanned the room for the person who was screaming or was it in her head?
Just then, the door to the bathroom opened and Blaze walked in, wearing only a sweatpant and towel drying his wet hair.
“Hey, you’re awake.” He leisurely made his way to the bed and climbed on it, smiling softly.
From the look of horror in Amelia’s eyes, Blaze knew she had been awoken by another nightmare.
“Another scary dream?”
Amelia nodded.
“Do you want to talk about it?” He asked sitting opposite her.
Amelia shook her head, swallowing the lump in her throat and unintentionally moistening her lips as she stared at him.
She watched as some of the water draining from the tip of his wet hair slid down his neck to his broad shoulder blade and further down his well-built chest and perfectly chiseled abs, before disappearing into the waistline of his sweatpants.
Amelia’s open lust aroused Blaze. His voice became husky as he spoke while reaching out to stroke the side of her face.
“Everything is going to be fine. Okay?”
“Okay,” Amelia whispered leaning towards his touch.
Then without warning, she lurched herself forward, wrapping her arms around his neck and holding him tight as if someone was about to separate them.
In response to her innocent action, Blaze wrapped his arms around the curve of her waist and pulled her even closer. He was enamored by her tenderness and vulnerability, as different erotic thoughts crossed his mind. But he knew she was simply seeking refuge and not sexual company.
Taking in a deep breath to stifle his desires, he stroked her back tenderly, wishing they could remain like this for the entire day.
Sadly, this morning tenderness was about to be cut short by the mysterious caller with a large appetite.
Amelia was still soaking in the coldness of her husband’s skin and the fruity fragrance of his shampooed head when her phone started ringing.
Instantly, she broke away from him, her horrid eyes turning towards the phone on the bed stand.
She took one look at her phone screen and his gaze turned cold.
