Chapter 152: The Scary Journey 1
Amelia nodded and did as she was told, unperturbed by the driver’s intense gaze from the rearview mirror. After all, they were both women and there was nothing to hide.
When Amelia was done dressing the driver instructed again.
“Drink from the juice box beside you and buckle your seat belt.”
“Why are you doing this?” Amelia asked softly, hoping to melt the driver’s hardened mind.
“Do not ask me stupid questions, lady. Drink from the juice box and buckle your seat belt.” The driver ordered harshly.
“I can tell you are a woman pretending to be a man,” Amelia said, ignoring her instructions. “I can also perceive your lavender perfume, masked by that pungent masculine cologne. You don’t have to continue with this task. You can let me go and tell me where my cousin is.”
“I said drink the juice and buckle your seat, now.” The driver said between clenched jaws, trying her best to contain the bubbling rage.
“Listen to what I have to say first,” Amelia replied stubbornly, unafraid of the consequences.
“I know I haven’t done anything wrong to you. My cousin hasn’t done anything to you either. So, why are you doing this? Why are you working for such a sick and demented man when you could do something better with your life? Do you know the trouble you could get into for kidnapping someone? Walk away now and give up the location of my cousin. I promise to change your life for the best”
“I will give you ten seconds to drink your juice and put on your seat belt. If by the time I’m done counting down, you are yet to comply with my instruction, I’ll put a bullet in your forehead. Then we will know who is more demented. 10…”
“I’ll give you one more choice to walk away now and tell me where my cousin is.”
“9, 8, 7…” The driver raised his silencer up to show Amelia that she wasn’t kidding.
At the same time, Amelia caught sight of the driver’s dark skin wrist, before she could cover it properly. It’s set off an alarm bell in Amelia’s head.
“It’s you. You were the one who spied on me the last time, taking pictures of my nudity. I also believe you are the lady called Toshiba, who deceived and kidnapped my cousin.”
“3, 2…”
“Karma will come calling very soon.” Amelia picked up the juice box and emptied the whole content into her mouth, pushing it down her throat as the driver turned around pointing the gun at her face.
“There… I have drank it. Are you still going to shoot me in the head?” Amelia shot her a vicious glare, daring her to pull the trigger.
“Bitch!” The driver leaned closer and struck Amelia on the temple with the base of her gun, knocking her out instantly. She started the car and zoomed off to her next drop-off point, where a chartered helicopter was waiting to pick her up.
Over the next few hours, Amelia was transported by air and then another car ride before she arrived at her destination, which happened to be an underground facility, surrounded by a lot of trick wires.
But due to the effect of the drug and the blow to the head, she remained unconscious for a few more hours before finally slowly regaining consciousness.
“Aunt Amelia.”
Amelia heard the voice of Sarah, calling her desperately. “Sarah!” She replied weakly struggling to open her eyes, squinting at the blinding overhead fluorescent light. Her head was banging really bad and her throat was parched making it difficult for her to swallow her saliva.
“Oh thank goodness! You are alive.” Sarah said, kissing her dear auntie on the forehead. “I thought that evil lady had killed you when they brought you here.”
Amelia managed to open her eyes, the drowsy effect of the drug she had consumed earlier still potent in her system. She forcefully pushed herself up into a sitting position, her body swaying a little. She held her head which had a bandage wrapped around it. She scanned her new environment, taking notes of the automated vault-like door, keeping them prisoners.
The room they were locked in was very spacious with no pieces of furniture or decoration, except for the big-sized bed on which she was seated and a small television mounted on the opposite wall.
“Aunt Amelia,” Sarah called again touching the back of Amelia’s left hand.
Amelia flinched, turning sharply to glare at Sarah. She held Sarah’s moist gaze for a while as if doubting her own eyes before she finally blurted out.
“Sarah! Oh my goodness!” Amelia threw her arms around her cousin. Both women wept for joy in each other’s arms before the back-and-forth question began.
“Did they hurt you?

“No, they didn’t.” Sarah shook her head, sniffling.
Amelia pulled away from her cousin to access her thoroughly, ignoring her own trauma, as she searched for any form of injury on her cousin’s body.
“I’m fine.” Sarah chuckled. “He kept his word and didn’t touch me except for this.”
Sarah lifted up her dress to reveal a neat slash on her thigh.
“Oh God… I’m so sorry Sarah. I got you involved in all of this. It’s all my fault.”
“It isn’t your fault, Aunt Amelia. I shouldn’t have trusted that evil witch.” Sarah said eying the door.
“Toshiba?”
Sarah shook her head. “No, that’s not her name. They are very discrete about their identity.”
“Who are they?”
“A scary-looking masked man and the lady who kidnapped me and also did this to you.” Sarah gently touched Amelia’s bandaged head.
“Ouch!” Amelia hissed. “It’s still hurts.”
“I can tell. You were looking pretty pale when they brought you here. I even thought you were…” Sarah shook the thought out of her mind. “…thank goodness you are okay.”
“You said the man wears a mask?” Amelia asked wondering if Blaze could still hear her.
“Yes, he wears a black scary tiger mask. I have never seen his face. But he always talks about his brother. He claimed you killed his brother.”
“I killed his brother…” Amelia froze, her chest tightening as she recalled the man she had stabbed to death when he attempted to assault her.
“Did you kill anyone?” Sarah asked in a quivering voice.
Amelia nodded her head, tears rolling down her cheeks. “He was going to rape me. So I defended myself.”
“Then he deserved it,” Sarah said, hugging her aunt.

Both ladies instantly froze as the vault-like door to the room was unlocked from the outside. They held each other tightly as the door was slowly pushed open.
