Chapter 311: Girls’ Outing 1
“Hey watch it, asshole!” The owner of the reversing blue convertible cursed out loud.

“F*ck you!” Sebastian gave him a middle finger while hurrying out of the car to catch up with Sarah.

“F*ck you too, dumbass.” The convertible owner hurled curses at Sebastian as the latter hurried away, chasing after Sarah and Annabelle, who had both disappeared into the mall.

Inside the brightly lit mall, the atmosphere was bustling and lively, with a mix of sounds, sights, and smells.

Crowds of shoppers could be seen navigating through the brightly lit corridors and display windows, chatting, laughing and moving energetically.

A constant hum of background sounds ranging from music to announcements resonated in the air. And the smell of food court aromas, combined with the scents of perfumes and other merchandise, further contributed to the overall captivating atmosphere.

Sarah and her best friend shopped briefly for a befitting male gift at the male accessory and perfumery store.

Afterwards, they navigated towards one of the classic high-end unisex boutiques, hoping to pick out some fancy outfits.

“Hello, welcome to Dina’s elegant boutique where customer satisfaction is highly guaranteed.” A professionally clad lady approached both girls with a polite smile framing her face. “I’m Elsie, the manager of this outstanding establishment. How may I be of service to you, beautiful ladies?”

“We just want to shop for the best?” Annabelle mimicked a funny French accent, cracking Sarah’s ribs.

“Male or female?”

“Female.” Both ladies chorused, laughing.

“Although I’d like to pick up a male tie after we are done with our personal shopping,” Sarah said, causing Annabelle to raise an eyebrow.

“First male accessories and perfume. Now ties! I smell a fish.”

“I never knew you had your head stuck in a river. Have you forgotten I have a brother and father?” Sarah clicked her tongue, eyeing Annabelle.

Elsie chuckled but didn’t interrupt the friends.

“Of course.” Annabelle teased innocently, happy that Sarah wasn’t indirectly referring to Sebastian but Henry. “He can be a father figure when you need one. A brother to cry on. A friend who has got your back at all times, signing you up into a cool crew and….”

“Can you shut up already?” Sarah poked Annabelle on the left side, regretting confiding in her about the Sparrow crew.

“I’m sorry. I’m just kidding.” Annabelle embraced Sarah, who couldn’t hold up her scrunched face for too long.

“So do we go for the ladies first or the guys?” Elsie asked.

“Ladies,” Sarah replied.

“Awesome! Please, follow me, I know the exact brand that would tickle your fancy.” Elsie led them to a section of the store stocked with all kinds of fashionable brands bearing high price tags.

“Wow, this is heaven!” Annabelle’s brimming eyes scanned the shimmering clothes around her, her hands cupping her mouth.

“I could suggest…”

“I think we can take it from here, Elsie.” Annabelle cut the manager off, as she hurried over to the clothes stand opposite her and started ransacking the shimmering branded clothes.

“I’ll be by the counter if you need me.” Elsie politely excused herself while giving one of the sales girls hanging around a non-verbal signal to attend to the young lady.

Annabelle picked out three stylish clothes that captivated her fancy.

One of the dresses was a petite champagne gold sequin cowl neck open back mini dress. The next was an exquisite long black glitter dress with high thigh slit. And the third was a red glitter one-shoulder cutout sexy mermaid sequin dress.

“You are so trying these dresses on.” A broad grin spread across Annabelle’s lips as she shoved the clothes into Sarah’s open hands.

“No way!” Sarah’s eyes brightened as she assessed the clothes, beaming. She considered them too revealing and too glittery to wear.

“Yes, way!” Annabelle wiggled her brows, picking up other glittering clothes for herself. “Imagine if you know who sees you in one of these dresses. My gosh!” She batted her lashes like a doll.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Sarah chuckled out loud, loving all of Annabelle’s whimsical gestures.

“Of course you do. Denial is always the first sign of blooming romance.”

“Hmm… I never knew you were a romance doctor.” Sarah rolled her eyes at Annabelle, admiring the black dress the most. But she found the price of the dress simply outrageous.

“You’ll be surprised. Come, let’s go try these clothes on. It’s going to be so much fun.” Annabelle picked up some matching shoes and accessories to go with the clothes.

“Ma’am, let me help you hold some of those.” The sales girl politely approached Annabelle, ready to assist.

“Oh, thank you.” Annabelle dumped some of the heavy accessories on the sales girl’s open hand before leading the way to the general changing room.

“Anna, have you seen the price tags on these clothes?” Sarah complained, following Annabelle’s lead.

“Yep. Looking good costs a lot of money. But, I’m sure you can buy this entire boutique. After all, you come from a family of billionaires,, unlike my pauper self.”

“That is not enough reason to throw away hard-earned money.” Sarah sneered playfully.

“Duh! Who said looking your best is wasting money? There is a lot I need to teach you, and so little time before you mature.”

“You’re such a clown.” Sarah giggled.

“And that’s why you love me so much.” Annabelle gestured dramatically as she stepped into the changing room.

“Wow! This place is magnificent.” Sarah marvelled at the luxurious changing room.

“Indeed.” Annabelle nodded in agreement.

The spacious and brightly illuminated luxury changing room felt like a private haven with ample sectioned rooms for comfortable seating and a full-length mirror for dressing.

“Let’s get dressing.” Annabelle chirped happily, dumping the clothes she was holding on the cushioned bench.

“We will take turns. You first.” Sarah eased herself into one of the plush cushions, smiling.

“It will be my pleasure.” Annabelle disappears behind one of the thick velvet curtains, humming excitedly.

It took a while before Sebastian was able to track Sarah and Annabelle to the Boutique, where they were currently busy trying on some new clothes. He was determined to formally make known his love interest to Sarah today and take her on a date in his sleek Lamborghini…. scratch that, his uncle’s borrowed Lamborghini.
