Chapter 174: Trolling Bluestone Academy
Arriving onstage, the Colzen trio was shocked.
Blue lights shot at them, looking as if it was trying to eliminate them, the intruders.
However, the truth was, that it was simply coating them with a protective mana ray equivalent to how much damage their body could take.
Once the mana shield is destroyed, then they would be eliminated.
Equally astonished were their opponents donning the well-known black and blue uniform of Bluestone Academy.
Ever present as they were in the championship stages, this was their first time encountering such an advanced technology so their astonishment was understandable.
Preventing both sides from interfering with each other’s survival was a thick barrier in the middle of the blue dome, separating one huge simulated world into two.
The crowd waited with bated breaths as the representatives’ expressions turned into one of intense focus and competitiveness.
“Begin!”
Upon hearing the referee’s signal, the machine administrator pressed a button on the control panel, releasing an ocean of simulated enraged green goblins.
In their hands were various crude weapons of their choice–makeshift spears, shortswords, and axes as they charged toward six young humans.
“Aaaand…The goblins are finally out!! Such a hair-raising amount of goblins! Who could resist such a force of nature?! It’s only a matter of time before the six young adventurers collapse but the question is, who would be devoured by the horde first?!”
“Is it students donning black and blue?! Or white and blue?!”
Spittle flew everywhere as the passionate commentator’s voice resounded in the entire arena, bringing vitality and excitement to the crowd.
“Oh? Bluestone Academy’s mages have already started casting their elemental skills!”
“A mass devastation!! Too formidable!! These Bluestone Academy mages are just too strong!! If they could keep this up they might be able to resist for an entire hour!! Could this be Colzen’s last match?!”
The commentator said, turning his attention towards the Colzen trio, curious about how they would respond.
“They…pulled out a…sleeping bag?! Wha…”
For a while, the commentator was at a loss for words. He couldn’t understand what Colzen was doing.
How will a sleeping bag benefit them in this situation?
The commentator’s mind was a huge mess, utterly confused about what was happening.
Is Colzen perhaps bribed so they were throwing the match? Isn’t this too obvious?
Fortunately, the bewildered commentator soon got his answers as a huge, thick, and transparent barrier appeared, enveloping the Colzen trio from the goblins who tried their hardest to destroy the barrier but to no avail.
Their strength lies in numbers, not raw strength, hence, their attempts at destroying the barrier proved futile.
Just when the commentator was about to praise Wendy’s tough barrier, the subsequent events utterly fried everyone’s minds, including the city lord’s.
“Wha– Wahz…What the he– Colzen!! The Colzen trio!! They…They’re relaxing!! Relaxing on the sleeping bags!! What is happening?! Is Colzen throwing the match?! No…They’re mocking the Bluestone representatives!!”
“Pffhah…This is next-level disrespect!! Who would dare read a book in the middle of a survival match?! Unbelievable!!”
The commentator wanted to laugh.
However, he had to act professionally or his job would be in peril.
The first time he ever felt the urge to praise and curse someone at the same time.

After all, laughing felt good. But the current events made it exponentially harder for him to do his job.
What was he gonna say?
That the strongest representative of Colzen is in a fierce mental battle against the page 3 of a book?
He thought that this was just an opening act to capture the hearts of the people.
As tough as the barrier might be, he expected it to break after a few minutes of relentless attacks from the green goblins.
Who would’ve thought that his expectations were way off the mark?
Not only did the barrier not break after ten whole minutes, it looked as strong as ever and it seemed like it wouldn’t break for days.
In contrast, the Bluestone trio was struggling.
They were doing their best to use their skills in rotation to maximize cooldown efficiency.
Unfortunately for them, the mages eventually depleted their mana reserves, leaving the warrior to grapple fiercely with the goblins in a desperate attempt to endure for a few additional seconds.
Seeing the current developments, two groups of people are on the verge of pulling their hair out in frustration.
They wanted to file a complaint about the “cheating” Colzen trio.
Naturally, the first group was those from Bluestone Academy. The hearts of the instructors and the two deans of Bluestone Academy ached upon seeing the huge contrast between the two groups of representatives.
They looked like fools in comparison to Colzen.
If not for the full set of relics provided by Elmer, their representatives would have collapsed already.
Speaking of Elmer, his group was the second group who wanted to file a complaint.
‘Just like this? My empire collapses just like this?!!’
Elmer was starting to go insane. He didn’t want his betting station to be bankrupt.
However, by the look of things, not only would he be bankrupt, but he would be bankrupt in the most humiliating way possible.
Meanwhile, inside the city lord’s office…
“Sir Blas, should we let things go on?” Alex asked, “Bluestone Academy filed two complaints. One for disrespectful behavior and one for cheating.”
In response, Blas merely chuckled, took a hit from his cigar, exhaled, and replied:
“How laughable. These elite academies mock students from other schools as if these people don’t have feelings but when they get mocked, they file complaints. Reject the complaints and allow things to continue.”
“As you wish…”

Astoundingly, the Bluestone representatives were still surviving at the 30th-minute mark.
‘Hold off…Just hold off until the administrators disqualify these bastards…’
The warrior representative from Bluestone Academy thought, gritting his teeth as he fought hard to salvage his dignity.
If the bastards from Colzen get disqualified, then they could mock them endlessly in return.
Unfortunately, nothing happened. Their complaints were rejected and they finally succumbed to their injuries.
Three rays of blue light shot out from inside the blue dome, turning into the exhausted Bluestone trio after its overly bright glow died down.
