Chapter 193: The Burden on Blas’ Shoulders
Hearing Blas’ words, the salty Eusford fans immediately shut their mouths.
They still wanted to watch the finals and being banned from the City of Dreams was certainly not a good fate as well.
Thus, they decided to stop forcing the issue.
Although some of them were still not convinced, they didn’t dare press the city lord of Valenzia any further.
Seeing that the situation was under control, Blas gave the crowd a slight bow before turning around to leave.
However, just when he was about to descend the stage, a voice suddenly sounded from behind him.
“With all due respect Lord Blas, I’m afraid it would be hard for us to accept this loss without knowing why, I plead that you please enlighten everyone.” One of the two deans of Eusford Academy spoke, the tone of his voice: indignant but respectful.
Naturally, Blas wasn’t happy.
This was the first time somebody ever questioned the integrity of his words and his brows couldn’t help but furrow as he gave the Eusford Academy dean a stern look.
“Oh? Dean Featherlite, I believe I already swore on the name of the World Adventurer Association. Are you doubting my integrity?”
Blas said as he gave Dean Featherlite a cold look.
“I don’t mean any disrespect but how many people here dare to challenge your promise? No one would be able to prove if you are lying or not. If you can find it in your heart to answer our questions, we will be able to leave peacefully.
Dean Featherlite replied, a hint of anger discernible from his tone.
“Alright then, since you doubt the integrity of Colzen’s victory, put your money where your mouth is. I shall disclose the secret to Colzen’s victory and if Shye Crowley could prove my statement, then I shall ban your Academy from entering the competition for a decade.”
“Now, Dean Featherlite, let me ask you again, are you willing to take this risk?”
Blas said, evidently angry from the tone of his voice.
Seeing how firm Blas was, Dean Featherlite wavered.
Ultimately, he decided to let things go.
A decade of not participating meant that they would receive the lowest budget possible for ten years.
The consequences simply far outweigh the advantages.
Thus, with a heavy heart, Dean Featherlite backed down.
“I apologize, Lord Blas, my sorrow overcame me. This shall never happen again.” Featherlite said before turning around and returning to the Eusford Academy station.
Hearing Dean Featherlite’s words, Blas breathed a sigh of relief.
Valenzia was already one of the weaker regions.
If Eusford Academy falls from grace, then Colzen’s rise shall be for naught.
There were more pressing problems to face and if they want their region to survive a potential calamity, then they must not fight amongst themselves.
As Valenzia City’s Lord, Blas must persevere.
He promised a certain somebody after all.
Hopefully, the young adventurers of Valenzia would be able to grow to their peak on time, else, Valenzia might be doomed.
Out of the ten regions they ranked at the bottom when it came to the total number of titled adventurers.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
Currently, there were only a total of six titled adventurers in their region.
In addition to this, they didn’t have a single hero candidate.
They needed at least seven to form a hero party.
Among the ten regions, they were one of the two regions that didn’t have a hero party to hold the fort.
Even the blacksmithing region, Weaven, had its own hero party.
As years passed, the disparity only grew larger and larger because the young talented adventurers of Valenzia always decided to settle down in the more prominent regions upon reaching the peak of their career rather than staying at Valenzia and helping develop the region.
Fortunately, Valenzia had no shortage of talented young adventurers and recently, more and more of them were deciding to stay.
If nothing goes wrong, then in a few years, Valenzia might have a few titled parties along with hopefully, a hero party of their own.

Inside Colzen’s academy station, the atmosphere was merry.
Why wouldn’t they when they’ve successfully entered the grand finals?
The deans allowed the representatives to relax for a bit before calling them for one last meeting, it was too early to have one anyway as it was still unknown whether it was Freia or Aslan who would advance.
After a few celebratory hugs, high-fives, and fistbumps from their instructors along with a few words of praise from the deans, the representatives made themselves comfortable.
David even decided to take a quick nap, feeling quite spent after the final match.
Meanwhile, in the holographic screen, the Freia and Aslan representatives were being introduced onstage.
Since Shye vowed to avenge his seniors, he prayed for Aslan to win so that he could carry on with his quest for revenge.
He wanted to defeat Aslan with his own two hands.
‘Hmm… So the bastard is called Damien huh?’ Shye mused as he watched the introductions closely.
Shortly after, the match type was decided.
Three-on-Three
Hunt: (B-) Two-faced Spider
One-on-One
Seeing the match types, everyone inside the Colzen Academy station felt that they were lucky, especially on the three-on-three.
The more representatives seen in action, the more abilities they could see which would give them a slight advantage.
Well, it’s not like the Colzen representatives hadn’t shown their entire arsenal so their final opponents surely knew most of what they had now.
Except for Shye’s new skills of course.
In addition to this, he had a shit-ton of points waiting in reserve.
Although he wouldn’t be able to upgrade his attributes anymore due to the limits of the level 2 system, he could still purchase skills as needed.
Hopefully, the two new skills will suffice.
He wanted to purchase some unique and legendary skills after all.
“Now, on to the second match! This time, two kings are fighting for a chance to bag the one true crown, the championship of the Adventurer Academy Competition. Will Freia debunk the myths of Aslan’s supremacy this year? Or will they fall just like everyone who stood in Aslan’s way?!”
