‘Hahahaha! Three generals!’ Shye inwardly celebrated in utter glee.
With this, he could adjust his plan.
‘But first, I have to observe this general’s characteristics…’
If the bastard turned out to be another scaredy cat, then Shye had no choice but to kill it first.
Howling like an ancient demon as he summoned his wings, Shye directly charged at the Vampire Progenitor, slashing his greatswords at it.
Surprisingly, upon realizing that it was being targeted, the Vampire Progenitor hissed viciously at Shye, pouncing straight at him.
‘Hoh? So that overgrown mutt is truly one of a kind, huh?’
CLANG!
Shye’s greatswords fiercely clashed against the vampiric baldy’s claws, causing an ear-splitting metallic noise to reverberate across the vast clearing.

Despite its ferociousness, the Vampire Progenitor was weaker than Shye in terms of raw strength.
Hence, it was sent crashing toward the dungeon walls.
Utterly enraged, the Vampire progenitor used its self-buff skill, [Vampiric Blessing], to increase its strength, dexterity, and agility.
Unfortunately, little did it know, Shye was already planning to kill it as his first move was merely to test the creature’s personality.
Now that he was sure that the Vampiric Baldy wasn’t some scaredy cat, he could use his killing sequence without hesitation.
Easily dodging another attack from the annoying wyrm, Shye noticed that the Vampire Progenitor was furiously rushing towards him from his peripheral vision, causing a shadow of a smile to emerge from the corners of his mouth.
The Dark Lycan somehow captured his smile and warned the vampiric baldy to retreat.
Unfortunately, it was a bit too prideful.
Thus, despite the black-furred general’s warnings, it continued with its claw attack.
The Vampire Progenitor strongly believed that its instincts wouldn’t fail it and that it could always strategize and coordinate with the other generals and its underlings should it also lose the second clash.
Basically, it was thinking along the lines of ‘it wouldn’t hurt to try one more time…right?’
Wrong!
Little did the progenitor know, Shye was already planning to take its life by unleashing one of his ultimate skills to secure quest completion.
After all, once he killed the vampiric baldy, he could also kill the mindless wyrm which would allow him to achieve one-star completion.
It was simply worth it to use one of his two new epic skills for such a purpose.
…Faking a slashing motion, Shye waited for the Vampire Progenitor to arrive in front of him.
Then, once it finally did, Shye dodged its attack by masterfully leaning to the side.
He then stored both greatswords back in the system’s inventory and grabbed the baldy’s wrist.
*ROAR!*
A draconic roar then echoed mightily across the clearing, momentarily dazing the Vampire Progenitor and paralyzing it for two seconds in utter fear.
His skill, [Draconian Roar Lv.4], usually freezes the opponent for more than five seconds.
However, due to the remarkably high ranks of the creatures he was now confronting, the skill was gradually losing its effectiveness, barely managing to hold his opponents for two seconds at most.
Still, two seconds was more than enough for Shye.
Retrieving the ruby-tier elemental staff from the system’s inventory, he aimed it at the Vampire Progenitor’s forehead, then, shortly after…
‘Ninth Devastation Ray.’
*FWING!*
A thin azure ray made of hyper-condensed mana emerged from the ruby-tier elemental staff, piercing through the vampiric baldy’s forehead, cleanly taking its life in one swift blow.
As the Vampire Progenitor’s lifeless body collapsed on the ground, the Dark Lycan howled to the skies.
Was it due to anger? Sadness? Shye didn’t know.
However, after that, the black-furred creature immediately left the room, none the wiser that Shye could easily follow it once more.
With their creator down, the vampires suddenly turned into hyper-aggressive, mindless beasts, furiously charging towards Shye as though they were mindless ghouls.
Shye wanted to kill the Bone Wyrm first to ensure his quest completion, however, with such ferocious vampires hot on his tail, he was forced to change strategies.
After all, why would his quest completion matter if he died in the end?
Fortunately, the dumbass wyrm seemed to have no intentions of running away, consistently attacking Shye without a care in the world.
Hence, Shye was able to focus on the undead army.
Despite the challenging battle, with agile vampires and Black Gargoyles attacking him from the front while the Bone Wyrm attacked him from behind, Shye managed to pull through, only sustaining moderate damage.
He chose to endure a few vampires’ and gargoyles’ attacks rather than risk a single hit from the Bone Wyrm, which had the potential to crush him instantly.
As a result, his body was covered in wounds; however, none of them were life-threatening.
Finally, after around another hour of combat, only around fifty Vampires and seventy Black Gargoyles remained, allowing Shye to sneak in a few counterattacks against the wyrm.
Unfortunately, just when he was about to have the freedom to focus on taking down the wyrm, it suddenly stopped moving.
Shye initially didn’t notice, however, upon looking back a second time, he realized that the Bone Wyrm was completely frozen in place—a huge magic circle activating beneath it.
He didn’t know the magic circle’s purpose but Shye could feel that it would be detrimental for him to allow things to continue.
Hence, without hesitation and with a great sense of urgency, Shye charged at the unmoving wyrm.
Unfortunately, his actions proved to be a bit too late as before he could even arrive at the Bone wyrm’s location, it had already disappeared.
